  1. Doubt that as this is the response I got..... "CamEye SPORT v1.6 is designed to put the camcorder in VCR mode. You should have V1.4 or CamEye II if you intend to film in camera mode. Please contact the sales outlet for an exchange." Good to know the 1.4 version is what I was looking to get.. Oh well my fault for not reading more Scott "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  2. Damnit, I saw it said on the info sheet I looked up that it is for Camera and VCR modes but further down noted is that the camera is only with an external "bullet" cam source.. My fault. Anybody want a new CamEye Sport cheap! Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  3. I just got a new CamEye Sport (CE-S) and maybe I am doing something wrong. Turn off camcorder, Sony HC40 and plug in CE-S and turn back on. Get green light but camera goes directly into Play /edit (VCR) mode. I cant get it to switch to Camera???? Turn off, unplug CE-S and turn back on, BAMMM Right into Camera mode, WTF?????? Have tape, battery but CE-S wont let me go into Camera mode. When I turn it on the indicator briefly lights the camera then goes to Play/Edt CE-S is software version 1.6, is there a newer version> My normal CamEye-II works great with the camera??? Anybody have this issue or know a fix?? I will write the Manufacturer as well buit I cant be the only person with this issue. Thanks Scott "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  4. From your description, if the donut was wrong on top and bottom of block, then no points. If the side guy had a wrong grip on the top and but then had the correct grip on the bottom with a correct inter, then the infringement would be a 1 point ding. At least that is how I wuld look at it. Just a thought. Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  5. Basically in the RW world and in the CRW world I am guessing. The number that leave the plane Separate from Camera need to be in the slots with the correct grips for it to be good. WS flocks generally dont look for taking grips but there are slot issues. Also in RW it does not have to be pretty to count but that opens the door in WS a bit as flying "No Contact" slots is what we do. This "Looks pretty" and "No Contact formations" offers big differences in my mind as to how close is close enough for a successful flock record wise?? Differences in proximity opinions could start to creep into the determination of a successufl flock. If your going to open the door for aq more formal process this might need to be looked at given with RW you can see the formation with grips not I was in my slot in a +/- range of distance. Hope that makes some level of sense.. Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  6. LOL, I know it was the breakoff signal but I was amazed at the proximity to the rest of the formation with what looked like an open and flying canopy.. When they were designing the dives somebody must have just watched Blazing Saddles: "Center, we dont need no stinking Center!!" "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  7. Willy's photos looked great! I liked the series between tu3916 and tu3918. The 3918 was cool as the canopy was open so close to the formation from the opening shot in the mentioned previous shot. Must have been a fast opening for it to look open that close! Almost looked like the formation just put the open canopy through the center at breakoff Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  8. As soon as I get mine I will be flying it and then post a review! Scott "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  9. No fair, it crapped out at 2:11 on 3 tries at it.. Anybody else having any issues. Scott "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  10. Cool and thanks for all the responses. I am just curious as to the responses and they are sorta what I was expecting. I have the infinity and I dont jump it as much and was thinking it might be a good switch for my WS. I will hook it up and see how it goes and see it if i want to add the dynamic corners. I am guessing a good pack with a good PC toss (extended bridle) should make for no worries. Thanks again Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  11. OK, I was looking at an Infinity I have as a possible WS rig. 2 things come to mind. I can put dynamic corners in on the main tray but am curious if anybody has done this and how it is working. That is a pretty easy mod to do and I just am curious about feed back from those with and with out this regarding WS jumps Second is on the lateral from MLW to back pad there is a peice of stiff fabric that is progressively wider as it gets to the container over the weebing that actually connects. This seems as though it might be an issue. I have not had a chance to put my WS on it yet and if your jumping an Infinity is this an issue fior you.. Thanks, Scott "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  12. I found out about the Monday practice Monday morning. Talk about short notice Maybe Keri will let us know with a little more lead time on the formation loads a few days for comming out to play Scott "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

  14. Just flipping through my June Skydiving and I see a Pic of a 3-way WS jump with the 3 all decked out in Golden Knight suits! A GTI and 2 FireBirds it looks like???? Sounds like they are getting coached by Campos and might add it to the show. Scott you wanna share any info?? Interested how they might incorporate WS with the demo shows Scott C. 18. Nice Pictures Matt! Looks like a fun weekend and some nice formations. Jeff likes to Fly on his back it looks like! And it is good to see that the gallery does have a nice set of "Purple Mike Geeking the camera" shots.. Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  19. I thought that the article noted that they already have done 100 jumps together before the meetlast week. Did it say that they were notgoing to Malevsky?? Thought it was interesting that they noted all 6 of their rounds were done in 2 hours (19.8 avg I think) and they spent the rest of the day coaching the other teams. That is pretty cool... Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  20. Nice video! I really liked the ext shot and the last opening! Scott "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  21. Nice shot Avery.... Looking forward to seeing more pictures from your perspective!! Scott "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  22. I agree with Bill about every body making choices and the need maybe being higher with un-current jumpers. That said, I am a very current jumper and though I did not need my AAD and I did nothing wrong, I very easily could have needed it last weekend. (See pic) I am a little sore but freefall and wind makes the blood spread out pretty good and look worse. It was still a good knock and things like it have resulted in much worse then some blood on your face and being able to smile about it on the ground. Sandy Wambach for one comes to mind. Mitigating risks is always a balancing act. I had an AAD with me for this jump and the pic shows the results. Note I was wearing a hard helmet, not full face. After I was hit and while going through my "Am I OK checklist” the AAD was one question I asked myself while in Freefall. I have multiple rigs and not every one has an AAD. When you need them you need them but they are a fantastic option for unforeseen events. If those never happened then WOW would the world be a different place. I prefer an AAD but have made easily 1000+ jumps w/o one. The first one I purchased was after an exit line up out of an Otter 12 years ago or so. Wearing a full-face helmet and when diving out the guy in front went into a good dive, his feet came up and his heel clocked me right under the chin. I was loopy for the entire jump, spitting blood on the ground, I was not 100% there and looking back on it, it could have been fatal for me. This is what I call an unforeseen event. You cant see them coming but can only prepare the best we can to give ourselves the best chance.. Do I say I have to jump with an AAD or I won’t jump, obviously not, but having said that I prefer to have the back up there. Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  23. OK, here are a set of pictures. No rhyme or reason to the order and they have ground and air shots. The page link goes to thumbnails and if you click on it you can get a better pic. Still only about 100KB so not the highest resolution but if you see something you like let me know.. The higher res shots look better but this shoudl give you your fix http://isleofskye.us/skydive/lodi07may.html Thanks again for the weekend and looking forward to flocking again. I wrote down a few e-mails but I seem to have lost those so send me a e-mail... Scott C. (aka "target" but hopefully I can loose that next time) "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  24. Here is a group shot. More pictures later Scott "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
