  1. Either way it was a close fly by. Also it looks that Jeb did a close flyby on one of the jumps as well. He seemed to go further after the flyby as well in the wingsuit.. Scott "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  2. No sound here either but WOW, that looked to be pretty close. Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  3. I currently have 1 sony battery and 3 other off brand batteries for my Sony. They are way less $ and though one of mine went bad after a little over a year of use, I still feel that I came out ahead. I dont think they are as good as the Sonys but they have worked good in my experence. The 2 still working non-Sony battteries have been great and I would buy them again. I got mine off of E-bay as well.. Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

    New Mach1

Nice new suit BUT NOW THAT THAT IS SAID, the question that comes to my mind first is why is Matt wasting time on the internet when he should be working on that 3.0 video?? Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  5. It will depend on the line set and the overall condition of the canopy. If it is the first line set it would be good to consider the replacement cost in as total cost on the purchase. I dont remember exactly but I think total with shipping is about $200 but I am sure someone will correct me if I am worng, I dont have my receipt from a re-line last year from PD. Pricing on them is goig to be in the 400 to 600 range again depending on condition. With only 430 jumps I am guessing it is in pretty good shape and maybe in the $500 range for value separate from the line if needed. But hell that is just a ballpark guess Scott C. 6. What about the SIGMA 28-70mm F2.8 EX DF LENS Any experience with this? It seems to fall below the Canon and no IS but the other qualities in reviews seem good. Anybody tried it? I will probably pick up a fixed prime lens at some point but as noted, I am looking to fill a gap with a little versatility. BTW, Nice dog pics Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  7. OK, my lenses are geared towards good light conditions and I was trying to take some lower light pics and was frustrated. Not skydiving related but it had me looking at a gap in my lens for either a normal lens (digital 1.6 crop factor so probably thiking of a 30mm or so) or a moderate zoom something like the 17-55 rannge. Key is looking at the aperature for low light conditions, leading to at least the F2.8 or something in that range. I have looked and see good things on the Canon 17-55mm IS F2.8 but $1000 is more then I want to spend. IS THAT LENS WORTH THAT? I can pick up a large aperature non-zoom for a good price like the canon 50mm f1.4 the 50mm F1.8 or the sigma 30mm 1.4 which will give me AWESOME low light condition shooting for a normal lens but I guess I like the thought of a little motre range with a zoom. Given that and not wanting to spend $1000 for the canon what are the opinions out there? Something like the Sigma EX DC 18-50 f2.8.. Am I giving up a lot with this? I have a Sigma 18-50mm currently only it is the cheaper 3.5-5 version and does great in the light but shitty in the low light. Thanks for the words of wisdomn ahead of time. Scott C. 8. Might it be a female packing a round canopy into a pilot emergency system that is from So Cal? I think she posts here but I know her Husband posts alot, damn greenies... Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  9. KerThunk, Damn Tony, throw a Gauntlet down and bash the So Cal contigent [cheesey Howard Cossell voice] Now we wait to see how the opposition from the south deals with this viscious attack {/cheesey Howard Cossell voice] Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  10. That was an interesting teaser? IS he planning on a little west coast action? Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  11. This is ultimatly the real issue. $ is a huge factor in directions people go in the sport. at 63 jumps you are probably not sure what you want and though the 132 might be a direction to go staying on a 150 is your comfort zone! People are saying keep it for 100-150 or so jumps and then think about moving to the 132. How long will that take?? 1 summer, 2 summers?? I dont know. If money is not an issue keep it. If you dont think your going to get the jumps you anticipate to make the move comfortable, it might not make sense t keep it as even unused canopies that sit in your closet depreciate in the used market and buyers eyes. In a perfect world I would have more rigs then I do, Also a packer for every jump and I would be on every load! I make concessions that fit my needs and maybe extend myself one direction and not so much in another. The Pilot is a very good canopy and as an observer looking at the 1.07 load, that is a good fit for a conservative/younger experience jumper and would be a place I guess you will end up at when your more confy with your landings. If you dont have an issue holding on to the canopy and really think yur going to jump more the upcoming season keep it, more currency will lead to more comfort and an easier transition. If your not sure and money is an issue sell it as you will probably get more cvalue out f it today then next year. Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  12. I lost weight for health puropses, i.e. wanted to be in better shape. The driving force was not primarly wingsuiting but it sure helped and was used to motovate me in my mind. I feel much better and my wingsuiting has a much larger envelope now then before. I chose the "old fashioned way", get a better body not a bigger suit Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  13. LOL, I am curious when thery are going to go into production. When can the pre orders go in and how much will it cost? Finally if that was not enough, can something be done about the colors, say something in the Teal, Navy and White scheme???? Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  14. >>>That 9way diamond on Sunday was just incredible.
  15. Same set up here. HC40 with a Diamond 0.3 Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  16. I was planning on going but some work issues have prevented me from attending. Lame I know but those work issues directly affect my ability to do little things like, well you know: a mortguage, car payments, insurance payments, my daughters after school crap a wife that does not work, blah blah blah.. I basically suck for not going Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  17. Throw some more pics up for those of us that could not make it! I have to live through these. At least the weather loosk to be OK ip here this weekend, at least on Sat.. Scott "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  18. With the Phantom and the Phantoms coined Pharcos being so good for flocking already, are you aiming the new suit at the people flying these suits now, like me? What is the niche your looking at drawig from. If it is the Phantom/Pharco group, will that line be phased out in favor of the new suit or will the new suit be aimed at the more experienced flyers not wanting to go to the V2. Phantom/pharco are a great suit and I gues I am wondering what the thought is with the new suit given the current suit does do VERY good at flocking now. Also how much do I need to save to get one and then cast off my Phantom.. You going to set the price all the way up to $1600 like the "other" new suit, if so my Pharco might be around a while longer... Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  19. I have gotten mid to low 40's average out of my Phantom. That felt pretty good I have to say! Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  20. LOL, throw the gauntlet down there. I have a Raven in a rig and a PD in a rig. The raven and the PD have treated me fine. Note the raven is a Raven 1 and not the Micro Raven series that has been smacked around for being touchy on the flare... Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  21. I thik you used Monkey as the model Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  22. OK, Posted in long Z-flock thread about rides. Basically I wanted to start a list of who needs a ride or can provide a ride from TPA to Z-hills? I am looking at getting to TPA either Thurs or Fri at 8:30 am and leaving Sun eve at 5:00pm and if at all possible would like to avoid renting a car. I know that Veggie and The Tony had noted a similar arrival time and predicament.. So what s the scoop on possibilities... Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  23. I am looking into flights again and thinking about it. I was looing at a 8:30 am Thursday arrival and a Sun 5:pm Departure. I would prefer to not rent a car and just stay at the airport in a tent, read that as more jump $... IF I do get the tixhas anybody looked into picking people up at the airport or dropping them off.. Since a good nuber are flying in probably around the same times has there been any thought of getting rides or is there a list going? Scot C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  24. I had a great time flying with ya at the Holiday boogie, wish I was local and we could fly some more! Hope you get the WS people out, GOOD LUCK! Now if the Weather would just break in the NW Maybe our growing flock up this way could get some flock on!! Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  25. Damnit, More people going and I am getting the itch to look into flights again. WX here is causing the same for me not snow but just general bad weather.... who knows the $ might have come down some and I might swing it. I can try and gleen photo info from Matt, get good flocks, have a lot of Beer and good vibes.... DAMNIT, I have to go look at flight times and costs... DAMN YOU Z-FLOCK!!!! MY BANK ACCOUNT HATES YOU!! Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
