What an ugly thing to say about the duly elected commander and cheif of these United States Of America. I'm literally shocked. -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall" -
It hasn't grown on me yet either. (I've only seen the pictures so far) I hope i will like it. My favorite ride is the 78 25th anniversary L-82 C-3 in my avatar. It turns more heads than any of my other cars. Have fun with your new Vette! If you like, i can send you info so you can join the nearest Corvette Club in your area, it's pretty cool. About every 3 monts all of the people in your area will get together and make a "Fun Run" you will get to see a lot of different Vettes and meet some real nice people. Take Care. -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"

Choose your own canopy size. At your level it would be wise to select a main that has you at a wingload of 0.9:1 or maybe a 1.0:1 at the outside. Make sure you don't get a semi-elipitacle or a fully eliptacle. A conservative 7 cell comes to my mind. -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"

Number 7! -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall" -
I had cartalige repair, and my ACL had a graft removed from it to provide material for my cartilage. It was a 8 week physical rehab process, and about 6 months before i jumped again. I've already "biff tested" it. It's fixed better now! Good Luck. -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"

Last year of the "Big Block" was 1974, it boasted a 454 that produced 210 HP, it was a dog. 65-67 are the best years for high HP. Go Here For Vettes For Sale -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"

That's way tooooooooo coooooooooool! I have 5 1978 C-3's, 1 1996 triple black Coupe with both tops and 300 HP, and 1 2001 bowling green metallic C-5, 6 speed, HUD active handling, 350 HP. My wife and i are flying to Grapevine, Texas to pick up the latest, a 2006 C-6 Triple Black Coupe, 6 speed automatic with the paddle shift, and the new 400 HP LS2 it's going to be awesome! See the 1978 25th anniversary Classic White with the original red leather interior, original L-82 220 HP 350 CID with a Borg-Warner T-10 Close ratio 4 speed in it on my avatar, it's simply awesome. I put 3" aluminum tubes, no catylitic convetors with brand new flow masters, BAD! I had to completely do a body off, frame restoration on this one, everything is new and rebuilt with NOS and GM parts. The interior gets really hot with the addition of the 3" tubes, so when i gutted the interior i added extra heat insulation to the transmission hump. I'm elated that i'm not the only Corvette inthusiasts around! Good on you bro! -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"

Now i know not to ever never fly with this clown. I'm glad it was posted. A look at the tail # gives all of this info up anyway. Not a big deal. I doubt anyone is going to send him any "clown" mail, everybody here has way better things to do with their time i'm sure. One thing's sure though, he is now an official "Darwin Canidate" What a schmoe. Nonetheless, he has my vote, and i'll cheat and vote for him twice! No doubt the FAA will suspend his license and probably financially sanction him, not to mention the law suits for damaged property he is fixing to have to deal with. Now would be a good time to make him an offer on his plane!! -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall" -

Jonathan's truck was pulling this same stunt a few weeks ago. After having various repairs made, all of them which did not fix the problem, it wound up being the electronic fuel pump, pumping intermittenly. We then took an air hose and blew through the fuel line behind the fuel pump going to the gas tank, and could hardly blow through it even with 120 PSI. Pulled the fuel tank, shopped it, tons of trash in the bottom of it. Boiled it out, replaced it and the fuel pump and cleaned out the fuel lines, end of problems. His truck is similar to yours. Hope you get it fixed. Take Care. -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"

I wouldn't vote for him, not because i don't think he'd do a good job it's because he'd neved fulfill his 4 year term. Someone would just assinate him! J/K BillVon. Plus, i don't think he could stand the pay cut. He would be a whole lot better than Clinton or Gore! -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"

It's this mindset that got us where we are now. This is the reason we went to the middle east in the 40's to begin with. Then they figured, well now we have their equipment, and a little bit of knowledge we'll nationalize our oil fields. They did and told us to go home. Dependence on foriegn oil, who's fault was that? Our own. Something else to consider is the placement (location) of our SOR's It doesn't take an Einstein to figure out how to bring America to it's knees. -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"

Please refer to the URL i provided in one of my above post. There is sufficient information there from reputable firms and professional sources to provide any information you require for any questions or issues you may have. Back to the main topic ofthe post: Do you think gas shortages are coming? My answer is still an emphatic "YES!" And what the heck should i know anyway? I have only designed and drilled the wells on all corners of the globe for the last 29 years. And i do care about the next 20 years, even though i'm in the autumn of my life, i have children and grandchildren, i'd like to think i'm leaving some sort of positive influence on ther future and the world's insatiable thirst for oil, and consumption of natural gas.
-
Your right, there is plenty of oil in the gulf. We cant drill off of the coast of Florida, Pemex is in charge of everything from Brownsville, Texas south. We lost, in the latest two storms 10 production facilities and Drilling Contractors who had to abandon their drilling vessels some of them semi-submersibles (Deep Water Floaters) found about another 10 of them either lost, foundered or severely damaged. It will be at least 6 months before the gulf is back where it was. Alaska, yeah right. When the greenies lay off, Calirofnia, same thing. I can't believe these people won't let us drill our own reserves!@??&^%$ Go Here to see more on these and more energy topics. -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"
-
Your remark is well spoken, my remark is based on proven statistics. When i said we need to build more refineries, i meant that if we had more refineries we could be energy independendt because we would have the ability to process our own energy sources which is an ability we do not currently posess. My whole deal is to be self sustaining in the energy world and stop playing "Pin the tail on the donkey" with the rest of the world when it comes to oil inventories and reserves. It would be nice to tell Chavez to eat his oil, but we can't. BillVon, "That ain't right"
-
The shortage is coming, and it's coming soon. The refineries are at capacity, men and machinery are scarce, REAL scarce. We need to build more refineries to become less dependendant on foriegn energy sources. The bungled Iraq war that the iraqi oil was going to pay for isn't going over real big either, this along with the catastrophe in New Orleans and the lost production in the gulf have weakend inventory levels. Tapping the SOR doesn't help either. Build a refinery, or deal with Chavez, Castro and the "Sheiks?" No brainer. Later Bro!

Jet Blue aircraft having problems with landing gear
rwieder replied to flyangel2's topic in The Bonfire
I'm a world traveler. I've flown every airline their is. I can say that this may be standard procedures under normal landing conditions. But these were not normal landing conditions. They shut those monitors down so the passengers couldn't see what the television cameras were showing the rest of the world. They shut those monitors down not knowing how much longer they would have to orbit before landing. And "NO" i wasn't kidding. I think it's a sorry thing to do. It doesn't matter in the long run because there were some MSNBC reporting personal on board that flight, i'm sure they'll be deposed for all the world to hear anyway. This CYA crap has got to stop. -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall" -
Jet Blue aircraft having problems with landing gear
rwieder replied to flyangel2's topic in The Bonfire
This particular aircraft could not dump fuel, but could burn up to 6,000 LBS an hour. One notation i made from comentary from the reporters is the cabin crew cut off the t.v. monitors for about the last 30 minutes or so to keep the passengers from seeing what was going on. I call BS on this one. -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall" -

Your bid on anything is a legally binding contract, there are several steps to finilizing your bid, but in one of those steps it fully explains the ramifications of "Crawfishing" on a bid" So, yes, you are held legally accountable for your bid, and if the seller wishes to, they can take you to court and sue you for not holding up your end. Which brings me to another point, i've seen all too often new bidders come out of no where and start bidding on an item i'm bidding on and when the auction is over the seller is contacting me to see if i want to buy the item for my last bid. What does this tell me? The suckers are creating new identities and bidding on the items themselves or having "friends" do it for them, because theses "people" never recieve any negative feedback for not paying up. I've confronted several sellers in the past, i've never seen so much lying in my life. -Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"
