As most of you know, i make my living searching for, and retrievieng hydrocarbons. I'm all about being energy independent. But BS like this (see URL) is hardly condusive to achievieng this objective. Even though i've traveled the globe and have been in many foriegn countries drilling for oil & natural gas i have always felt like we, as americans could, if we wanted to, be energy independent. This is not true. Most majors have contracts for their marketers, and the marketers "Lock In" at a certain price for the majors oil and gas, whether it be $35,00 a BBL of oil or $135.00 BBL of oil, the major (Or Operator) is only recovering the amount that they "Locked in" at. There is no such thing as a "Sliding Scale" to where when the price of oil goes up so does the Operator's revenues. It's the marketers who are making the vast majority of cash. what have YOU done for YOUR country lately. it's all take, and no giving back? Rhino has served his country in the military, my father and my son did as well. I didn't but barely missed the viet nam draft, i would have went had i been selected. unless you have been in the military, or served in some other capacity other than a "partaker" of all the goodies and rights you have as an american, i don't believe you will ever understand how a patriot feels. I still rmemeber how the returning troops from viet nam got spit on by american citizens when they returned home from the war, will you be one of them? or do you support the troops? That said, i doubt seriously Rhino has any intentions of "beating you up" as far as i know while he feels strongly about political issues he's non violent.
