  1. Thanks for not thinking I was insane for mentioning the EMG. I was sweating bullets! I'm not quite sure what the prescribed treatment for you would be, but I do know it's treatable. I had the EMG done b/c of a back injury due to over use of steroids and power lifting back in the day, which equated into major pain every day. They actually found a herniated disc at L-4 / L-5 I had the surgery and I'm all good now, back to all my old stunts. (Which I should not be doing) But hey, one ride, right?? Best- Richard
  2. I wasn't addressing you. And I don't need your mouth. Here, or anywhere else. Thank you. Best- Richard

Geez guys, were all going to get 6' under sooner or later, no sense in inviting the experience! Best- Richard
  5. Myself and a few friendlies have much the same arrangement, for the very same reasons. It sure is cool. We pay our pilot by the day, not the hour or load. Why? Because that's what he asked for and it was so reasonable we couldn't refuse. Best- Richard
  6. This may sound "Out There" to you, but considering the fact you mentioned the head ache right after the sky dive tells me you may have injured your nerve endings in your kneck, or maybe at the L-4 / L-5 section of your lower back. This can lead to the symptoms you related. By the way, and don't answer this if you don't want to, your not diabetic or you? If I may, my suggestion would be to have a nerve conductivity test done. It's called a "Electromyography" or EMG. This would be something you haven't done yet, and may just provide some answers your looking for. Best of luck. Best- Richard
  7. A dozen canopy pilots could fly the X-Fire and come up with 12 different reviews. From my experience, I think the X-Fire is like flying a Hornet. I haven't observed anything out of my X-Fire so far but sluggish performance, I've got 2 of them and there both pretty "doggish" flying a 1:8:1 WL. The only way I've got them to perform so far is by being really aggressive with the front risers. I'm not open to debate on canopies, that's another forum. What I commented about is based on my experience with this canopy.
  8. Demo an Icarus X-Fire 149^2 before making your final decision. You'll find this canopy is far superior to the other choices you mentioned. Remember, I said "Demo" not buy, until you make your decision.
  9. I've been using L&B products all my sky diving career, going on 4 years now. I have NEVER had any problem with their service, some with their products, but I sent it to them and PRESTO! Got it back in shore order. These guys are the best. Maybe you should keep a civil tongue in your mouth, you may well be treated just a little better. I think you owe these people a public apology.
  10. You forgot "Do you even care about me?" that would've been my vote.

Your not in any position that any of us here haven't been in ourselves. Stay calm, and figure it out. Skydiving rigs, Harleys & guns are replaceable. Thank God you have your health.
  12. Council- I don't care who agrees, or disagrees with me. I made it clear that my comments were IMHO. You really need to lighten up and stop making false accusations towards me. As I said earlier, just as you have the right to have your opinion, I'm allowed to have mine as well. I'm not being argumentative at all. Apologies if it came off like that. It was not my intention at all. Best- Richard
  13. I have no problems understanding anything. I do not hate GZ, or anyone else. I completely understand the capacity that GZ was in that night, and I respect that. I understand all of this, it's crystal clear. But remember we heard just one side of the story, don't lose sight of that. We'll never know the other side of the story. Just so your all clear, I completely respect our judicial system and I respect the "System" It's all we have. It worked, the jury spoke, and GZ was found "Not Guilty" not "Innocent" that wasn't an option to the jury. I'm glad the system worked and I will continue to have faith in it. I respect the juries's decision. But having said all of that, there's a human side to me that has a soul. I'm a born again (Lutheran) Christian, and I try my level best to "Walk the Walk" It just hurts with the loss of anyone in an "unfortunate incident like this" I have 4 children, 4 grandchildren, that could well have been any one of them, so I do look at this incident with parental eyes. There are no winners here. GZ's life will never be the same, and TM is gone prematurely, his parents lost their son and that part is very sad. For all I know TM may well have had it coming, and played the role of aggressor, I don't know, I wasn't there so I have no real personal first hand knowledge of this incident other than the internet, tabloids and having watched the trail gavel to gavel. I'm certain that there is a perfectly good reason that the outcome of this incident culminated the way it did. It is my prayer and hope that GZ can pick up the pieces of his life as well as TM's family be afforded the same. This was one of the most well handled cases I've ever seen. The Judge left no doubt who was the alpha character in that court room. If not for her this trail could've turned out quite differently. Justice has been served. It's just sad a 17 year old young man lost his life because of this untimely incident. I'm confident that God has a plan for all involved. It is also my prayer as well. Take care, be safe. Keep all of the parties involved in your thoughts and prayers. Best- Richard
  14. I watched that trail gavel to gavel. It was played back on the 911 tape. C'mon, it's got to hurt anyone with a soul to know a young man lost his life for a BS reason like this. It didn't have to happen. Nuff said. As you are, so am I entitled to my opinion. Take care council. Best- Richard
  15. 911 Operators are following protocol when they instruct how and what people should do in certain situations. The same way they would instruct a person in a burning building how to get out safely. Is it best to listen to them? Or NOT? Best- Richard
  16. You missed my entire point. Had GZ done as he was asked, there would have been no confrontation. I agree TM may/could have lost his life in some violent manner because he was up to no good most of the time. But he was a human being, one of God's creations. Best- Richard
  17. Had he done as instructed, there's a real possibility Trayvon would be alive right now. Don't be happy because GZ got off. I remember OJ Simpson was found "Not Guilty" I was mad as hell. He killed those people and everyone knew it. He got away with it for what ever the reason. Just because he got off, doesn't mean he wasn't guilty. Best- Richard
  18. GZ killed a young man. He did not do like he was asked to do when he called 911. They told him to get back in his vehicle, he did not. IMHO, to a point, not 100%. The evidence also pointed out GZ's faults as well and no punishment. Murder is not supported in the Bible. "Eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth" Best- Richard
