DD Story. I knew this was going to happen sooner or later. Phil did nothing more than quote the King Jame's Version of the bible. Next thing you know he's been placed on an indefinite "hiatus" from the very show he helped develop. Personally I'm getting sick and tired of being persecuted for no other reason that I believe in God. My choice right? The only thing Phil Robertson did, is he's not tolerant of anybodies else's lifestyle other than his. I did the same thing right here in these forums not long ago. I prayed about it and I changed my opinion, and asked for forgiveness from everyone it affected. We're all human, we all make mistakes and learn from them. Phil needs to apologize...NOW! I beg to differ sir. "eww" isn't even a word, and interpretation is impossible to maintain a single meaning. The first time I heard that "eww" crap, my youngest daughter started using the word in 1st grade, I disliked it then and I still feel that way. Some people might think "eww" might means a cow with a weak bellar. I am a religious person, as all of my family members for the last 100 generations, on my Father's and Mother's side of the family were and are. There's also many more truck loads of evidence in a book, called "The Bible" that tells the complete story of Jesus's life from the womb to the tomb. If you don't believe what the bible says, I can't see much of an after life future in any disbeliever's. I have also noticed when our friends die doing what they love to do, just like the rest of us, that tons of sentiments ie: RIP, hope your in heaven with the angels, etc...Is this the only time a lot of you get in touch with the "Spiritual Side" and all of the sudden believe in God just enough to say those things about our fallen colleagues in these very forums, or am I just delusional? Do non believer's just disregard this book? As humans we all have to have faith, not just faith in each other in the sky, the jump ships and pilots, but faith. "Faith is the things hoped for, and all things unseen." So no matter what you believe about anything else, everyone has Faith......in something, or some one, somewhere. If we go to altitude, and as usual have our dives planned, do we not have Faith that each and every one is going to do what they said they were going to? My thoughts exactly. It seems the newer gen. "X" sky divers are coming up with some crazy theories. It makes me wonder if the quality of our instructional personal and facilities. This question from this OP reminds me of the "High riser pressure" thread. Best Richard

I jump with people who are dying from cancer, never thought twice about it. So I would say your pretty lucky your affliction is just Type 2 Diabetes! If you continue to monitor your blood sugars and treat it out like your doctor tells you to, there should be no adverse affects on your sky diving abilities. Why won't your doctor sign your physical? Whether you have diabetes or not, it doesn't matter, Sky Diving isn't going to shorten your life, while a low ground WILL. Ask your doctor if he/she has a form for that!! Take care, have fun! Increased wing load f/ the 170 to the 150. I previewed your profile and judging by your jump numbers you shouldn't be flying such a high wing load just yet. Is you DZO & S&TA gonna help you out when something happens. (Hope it doesn't, but this is a dangerous sport.) Just sayin' Best- Richard
