Right now I could kill this guy I know from Florida who 2 years ago talked me out of a new rig and into assembling a new computer (back when money flowed more easily). We put in Windows 2000 or was it XE, anyway, it was the one that has all the flaws. No sooner did I assemble it and I had to move. It's in storage with my scanner in San Diego. I would have been better off with a new rig 'cause mine by now is almost 17 years old, but that too used to be brand new. Wish I could make that guy go POP along with Hobie! Gosh time flies! Thanks for all your help I will try to fix the problem. No new computer, already made that mistake once.

I prefer my men over 50 or at least over 45. By then they have learned what to do and what not to do, and their testosterone has subsided at least enough that they are more patient and gentle. Plus that OPS (Old People Skin) is so silky, soft, and smooth!

Would there be any way for me to attach a photo to an email on the forum and have someone else not infected with Hobie copy it and put it somewhere, maybe even send it back without Hobie for me to then stick on my profile? Me thinks me thinks too much, so I've been told.

Say if you're still around.... hate to monoploize your time, but I need some help. Again, if I try to extricate hobie, will something bad happen to all my pictured in my documents/mypictures? What will be different? I am a pen and paper preferer. So many times I have spent hours on the machine only to push a button or have something crash and the whole thing just vanishes! I hate that! Lost a whole term paper that way years ago. I have soooo many pictures saved, it would be tragic to push a button and have them all go away! I don't trust these damned machines that much! Why did hobie go through adobe and onto my floppy? What a tenacious program, how is it clinging on to my files?

OS is windows 98. If I uninstall Hobie will I still be able to open my pictures or will Hobie take them all away with him if I try to uninstall him, you know how vindictive some people can be? Gosh I feel like a fish flailing out of water!

Help! I need an exterminator! I even tried to import the photo into Adobe Deluxe, which I am registered for from my days of scanning in photos for my dead fiancee, Shawn Gloyer's web site. I reduced the size to 65x75, stored it as a jpg, then sent it to a floppy. But when I looked at the properties on the floppy it had increased in size from 35 to 46 pixels, and still that damned Hobie's ultimage opened it up! Is it time to call in an exorcist?

Shit, I even tried to copy it to a floppy and what do ya know, when I opened it on a floppy Hobie stepped in to take over! Aack! Is he a virus or what?

Help! I have not the images nor the scanner with me any more. The scanner is in my storage locker in San Diego, and whenever I find or get a picture I just put it in my documents/my pictures, and hobie seems to take over! Is there any way to slip one out from my documents/my pictures, and put it somewhere else without his noticing?

Well it seems the thought police guard this site pretty rigorously. I have stepped "out of line" a couple times already and gotten reamed for it! People love to tell stories in the skydiving world. If you did something, by the time you hear it again it has been amplified and magnified and over exagerated 100 fold. I used to think that was funny, but these days there seem to be a lot more sensitive, self-rigious types at the DZ who are ready to tar and feather the wild child!

You know what, I actually have lots of those, and even some like Vanillaskygirl, nearly neeeked, but I am afraid of you people on this forum! Something bad could come of it! It seems like over the past 17 years in this sport, people still remember when you sneeze, and you hear about it years later in some outlandish place. My dude is very sensitive to my being more of a lady these days, so I try to comply. For some reason whenever I so much as twitch a finger, everyone in the World has to go and tell him about it! Whatever happened to the easy going types in this sport? Rehab is for quitters.

I seem to have this little hangup in that every time I click on my picture, especially in my windows explorer tree, it opens in some program called ultimage by Hobie. If I try to alter the image it tells me I am not registered, and I must pay 30$. Is there some way to work around this? I made a whole website complete with images I scanned in, but those seem external to this Hobie dude. The picture I want is being guarded by Hobie! Help I am being held prisoner on my own machine!

Thanks I'll try it! You will know if I am successful as you will soon see my image. I wish I could crop out dinner, but that may be editing 101-next time. I used to be real good at all that, but I forgot how- too much fun in the past I guess!

Yes, I always think too much! Often gets me into trouble and causes sleep disturbances. Way too many years in school studying the sciences does that to a person! Thanks for the info! I like people who think too much, better than boring MT heads! Rehab is for quitters.

Say, I talked to my Physical Therapist today again about Prolotherapy and why not. We decided that prolo fuctions to strengthen the ligaments by mobilizing the body to in fact form and deposit actual scar tissue in the area. Apparently this is not a good idea for muscles and or joints as the scar tissue is chaotic rather than organized new flixible tissue growth as one might be lead to believe. Gee, a little knowlege can be a bad thing without the full story which few medics seem willing to give you if they are trying to sell their service, or worse, maybe they themselves don't know the specifics, as I fear is often the case!

How do I reduce an image form say 60KB down to 10KB so I can attach it as my icon, without having to spend any money to regester for any new software? I am working on a laptop with Windows 98?

Didn't you learn nothin' from Jacko's public problem? You ain't a supposed to kiss and tell! You never know when it might come back to bite you! But as long as you brought it up... Remember when sex was safe and skydiving was dangerous?! You know I have heard that there are 250 million new cases of aids every year! Makes you think twice about that bootie call these days, doesn't it? And that's not to mention any of the other stuff you can catch! EEEEYYYYUUUU Yuck! You never know what could be lurking in that warm, damp, dark place!
