    Amazing!

If you slightly open your mouth, then shake your head very quickly, it makes funny mouth sounds!
  2. Thanks for the blast from the past. It was indeed a great album. Time for Limewire... "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."
  3. Only when it's convenient, and since the appeasement policy has, it seems, failed, I have no reason not to use that blue passport of mine... "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."
  4. There are many, and since he's there, I will trust Mark's statement that all Kosovian muslims are angry. It also seems that all US armed forces personel serving there seems pretty bitter and angry at muslims. That's a great mix for good times to come. Last night, I had wonderful lamb skewers from a Chinese Muslim restaurant. As luck had it, not only were the skewers delicious, but the muslims inside the restaurant restrained themselves from lynching me.
  5. But you somehow make it sound like the reason France stayed out of Iraq was to avoid AQ's wrath. Whereas France has always been a target of Muslim extremists, being AQ, GIA (not the Potty Mouthed Midget, but the Algerians...), etc... The title of your thread infers that France did not go to Iraq to "appease" AQ, which is not the case. "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."
  6. If you say so, Mike, but you may be the only one. I'm not sure I'm buying your argument. Considering that prior to the invasion of the sand box, terrorists attempts were being foiled in Paris. Of all people, I am surprised you would play the game of "let's blame the French for whatever because they didn't go with us to Iraq". French and US counter-terrorism forces have been (and still are) working very closely, and there has been some good results out of this cooperation. And if the FBI had paid any attention to what French intelligence had told them prior to 9/11 regarding Moussaoui, maybe there wouldn't be any need to blame others for the current apparent failure of the Iraq experiment. "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."
  7. Exactly. Not taking part in the war in iraq had nothing to do with trying to appease anyone. Muslim extremists' terrorism was present in France prior to 2001, still is, and will be. The war did not change anything. "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."
  8. Uh? Which appeasement game? I think France has been at least as active chasing terrorism as the US has been... "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."
  9. But if I am not mistaken, it is not up to the judge to decide on what charges should be brought up against an individual. That would be the prosecution's job. The judge can only rule on what is being put before him/her. "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."
  10. "Critchfield was sentenced to the maximum possible term Wednesday after pleading guilty to two counts of felony child neglect with injury". Looks like the judge sentenced her to the extent of his ability. As a member of the judicial system, he can only apply what the legislative allows him to use. Me think. "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."
  11. Dude, you're so lurking, no one notices you anymore! Newb! "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."

China. I can't wait!!!! g That's a weird destination. Why would anyone go there...??? "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."

  14. Rock on Jay!!! "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."
  15. In my next life, I want to be reincarnated into a Kobe cow. Getting massages all day, and having old ladies spit beer on me... Sure beats working. "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."
  16. Climate is very similar to Hawaii's, although a little more tropical. Never cold, rarely extremely hot, but always fairly hot. Lots of humidity, therefore rains quite a bit. Dry season just means it doesn't rain quite as much as during the rainy season. Expect to sweat quite a bit... Have fun
  17. Yes, it was worth for me getting up at 3AM to watch it... But I'll trade you a Euro qualifier for a WC final...
  18. Fooled me! I thought this thread was about real bread... "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."
  19. Fairly good points. I would add that the level of the trauma caused by the losses of WWI is hard to comprehend in today's world. The amount of casualties in men "in their prime" during WWI in France and England (and in Germany, Italy, etc... for that matter) reached double digits in percentage of the 20 to 40 year old male population. There was a genuine desire from the majority to avoid re-living what had happened 20 years before (on top of having a shortage of men in their prime to fight such war). Germany felt cheated by the treaty of Versailles (and it was certainly abusive in many ways), and as Mike mentioned, went through extreme economic and political hardship. Combine all three elements made it a perfect recipe for a dictatureship to step in and promise revenge, stability, and a return to pride. The German army was smart enough to make up for its lack of fighting manpower by coming up with war tactics which to this day still seem to be the standard (highly mechanized for its time, air dominance, quick and powerful strikes, trauma factor, etc...). Hardly the same set of circumstances in Iran and North Korea. As a footnote, yes, France took Alsace and Lorraine from Germany in 1918. But that was because the Germans (then Prussians) took it from France in the war of 1870. 21. You will surely get better, more impartial advice if you would post this in the Women's Forum. "For once you have tasted Absinthe you will walk the earth with your eyes turned towards the gutter, for there you have been and there you will long to return."

Is bowling popular there? A little harsh, me think. This comment could probably apply to 95% of fatalities and incidents recorded. Last i checked, there's no smart way to die.
