Maybe I'm crazy. wait... I am crazy. anyways. I actually enjoy reading a few of the 'self help' books... most of it doesn't apply to me - but I can take a lot away from it or at least have a better understanding of others... Believe it or not, I've requested one as a gift before.

I finished that rarely quickly... the clock/guitar room gave me some trouble...

I've read Pillars of the Earth before. It really is a great book. I won't lie - I think the beginning 500 pages are more interesting than the last half of the book.

GHOSTBUSTERS.

I've already read Covey's book. I could reread, but not at Christmas time. Thanks for the other suggestions, I'll look into them.

I'm trying to find a good book to read. Any suggestions? Generally, I only read non-fiction. It's not that I don't like fiction, I just see non-fiction as a bit more practical. Please suggest both. Keep it semi-short (under 500 pages) and very interesting. If we go the fiction route - adventurous with well developed characters and/or some psychological thriller... I'm going to survive Christmas with this book - so make it a good one.

You do know that it's December and not October, right?
-
yes, it is. I promise. I don't really drink anything except lite beer; this is mainly due to the number of calories in lite beer vs beer.

So, how did this happen?
-
Don't start crying - I'm not gonna talk about the ending... I saw this last night and loved it. It was sad, funny, scary and IMO very well done. Anyone else have a review?

If I can't make it in a 'normal' career position... It's comforting to know I could still make a living as stripper. And if I'm not hot enough to pay the bills... ... I'll be a competitive eater. (I'm joking) Seriously though, any other great ideas?

Dz.com FITNESS Freaks...What's Goin' On In Your World?

My goal for the weekend (as the weekends are the hardest for me to stay on track): No soda - no sugary shit - 40 minutes cardio Sat & Sun. Can I do it? Tune in Monday to find out. -
1. I don't know you, but I bet you're freakin awesome. 2. I think your post is pretty fucking bad ass. I read the whole thing. Usually, when I see a post this long, I skim and jump around or give up on it altogher. I read every word of your post. 3. I feel your 'frustration' - I can relate in an indirect way... if that makes any sense. 4. Do what you think will make you the happiest. You appear to know yourself fairly well - so plan accordingly and DO IT. 5. *beer*

DZ.com Fitness Updates -First week in December!

You might want to get all of that looked into. I don't want anything to happen to ya. :-) As I'm still busting ass to drop my last 10-15 pounds to bring me down to 125 pounds, I've made some radical changes. 1. I'm giving up caffeine - slowly, one day at a time. 2. I'm watching my sugar intake - 45 grams max. And let me tell ya, that is hella hard. But amazingly, I can get away with eating less while sustaining my energy level. I think this will be the BIGGEST key in dropping the weight. Yeah and I screwed up my right knee. I really need to go to a doctor. I'm still putting in 2 days of full body resistance/weight training a week and 5+ days of cardio - ranging from the ellyptical, cycling, and running, weekly. Yoga twice a week and a very strict diet, with one splurge day a week.
