My ears are watering just reading this thread. That has to be sooo painful.

Forgive me for being a pain in the ass... but isn't it March?
-
Heh, yeah - sometimes I wonder why I want to make myself work so hard...

I've decided I want to go after a MBA. Fall application deadline is May 1st. I think I can round up everything fairly quickly, with the exception of my GMAT scores. Should I drop $1200 on a GMAT review course that will end on April 22nd? Or should I buy a book and study on my own? Or should I move to Hawaii and be a beach bum?

That's exactly what I was thinking. Man, I miss jumping...

http://www.wacom.com/intuos/ that would be on the top of my list, but what do I know.

Anti-depressants of little use to all but the most severely depressed
SarahC07 replied to SpeedRacer's topic in The Bonfire
I tend to agree with the article. I've witnessed a couple of people very dear to me struggle with depression and other mental "disorders". Medication did not help them. One person in particular has struggled so long that she's been on and off almost every drug in the market. She claims nothing helps. Her daughter suffers from the same problem but has made incredible progress with an awesome therapist. If someone's quality of life improves from taking a pill, wether it be a placebo or not, let them take it. And leave 'em alone. One of my best friends always says: "We're all a little bit crazy. Learn to manage your crazy and then embrace it." I think it's great advice. -
I pretty much despise the grocery store and only spend as much time as absolutely possible there. I only get what I need.

Hands down - help someone move.

I'd say I'm happy about 50% of the time. I think back to when I was actively skydiving. I was probably happy abou 75% - 80% of the time. Is it ridiculous to think that my overall happiness is influenced that much by skydiving? Since I started skydiving at 19, I've matured quite a bit (I still have some more to go ). I wonder, if I started jumping again, would I be a happier person? Man, I wish I hadn't sold all my gear.

What kind of a hit was it?

Choices, inconsistencies, CRAZY FOLKS LIKE YOU GUYS, all the crap and all the good times, too.... My family and friends... ... naps, my crazy ass friends, alcohol, diet coke, morning sex, live performances and cheese. Yep that about covers it. But since you said THING (singular), I'm gonna go with ALL OF THE CRAP.

I totaled a 1999 Ford Ranger December of 2006. My insurance company wrote me a $7500 check. I didn't get it then and I won't get it now. That truck had over 100,000 miles and was in fairly mediocre condition. I say buy a new one.

I'd grab my closest friends and head off to Australia... I really just need to live somewhere tropical... forget America... I've seen enough of it. I really just love the beach ... but I would have a hard time living in CA.

Fitness Fools...POST February 15th-February 22!
SarahC07 replied to ACMESkydiver's topic in The Bonfire
I'll be babying my right knee for what I fear will turn into forever. I should really go to the doc. I did 45 minutes of cardio, abs x 3, Isos - 10 rounds of 10 second holds, and push ups... in sets of - how ever the hell many can I do? and side isos - 45 seconds on each side. Rinse and repeat. Sadly, I was excited about 12 consecutive full body push ups. I've always been one for girly pushups, so punching out 'manly' push ups was pretty awesome. I even had decent form!! I'll be back at the gym tomorrow... -
Shhhhh - I'm in denial. I freakin read the email over and over before I even send it. You think that would be enough? Nope.
-
Yeah - this is probably borderline OCD. How's life Dave? Caught any felons recently? Tell Morgan I said Hi! She and I still need to work out our plans for the Saturday morning ride...

What I'm about to say only further confirms that I truly am crazy... I will reread important emails in my "sent items" folder for grammatical, spelling or other errors. Sometimes I just think about how I could have communicated better... If I don't do this before I leave work, I'll think about this at home AND IT MAKES ME CRAZY. I need to let it go. Does anyone else suffer from this strange disease?
-
Yeah, me too.
-
Okay, please tell me that I'm not the only one who craves sex MORE when under the influence of alcohol...

Does this clip make you want to become a vegetarian?
SarahC07 replied to RkyMtnHigh's topic in Speakers Corner
In an effort to keep this thread from heading to SC (yeah right... )... I'm a vegetarian. However, I stopped eating meat mainly for health reasons. It's amazing how telling someone you need/want to eat healthy means almost nothing to them, but as soon as you are a "vegetarian" it's like you're a "special needs" person and they'll cater to your request. Trust me, I get my fair share of heckling and teasing - I'll probably get it here. I could go into a looonnngggg drawn out decision about this, but I won't. Hands down - animal protein is NOT good for you, and after watching that clip - inhumane animal treatment is working its way up the list of reasons why I choose to be a vegetarian... ... please, let the teasing begin. -
What I don't understand is how 3 people voted for clarinet. It is not exactly a pleasant instrument to listen to - even when played well. The French Horn, on the other hand, is such a beautiful instrument, and they often get the coolest lines in orchestral peices.
