  1. Indian people are still people you know
  2. Haha. Its true. The best bit is you fill out a 'marketing survey' so they know what part of the community their recruitment campaign is getting positive response from, its perforated so you can send it seperatly and be anonymous but it furthur states you should leave it attached and please mark your name on it clearly
  3. If you can't provide a service for your public or even general fitness to perform duties or protect yourself, your of no use to anyone in my opinion. They should make people retake the fitness they took when they joined at least yearly. So off goes a guy with amazing experience and ability as a senior member of the police management team because he said something which is really correct. Pisses me off they should start sacking the fat ones who fail to catch offenders regularly in foot pursuits
  4. Yes, its very bizarre. Lots of police applicants got turned down for no other reason than being white, british, heterosexual males. Thankfully they have been suing the pants off the force in question and every claim has been paid out to my knowledge. Ont he subject of CVs, why do business ask you to send them to them only for them to ask you to fill out one of their own specific forms with exactly the same information on it anyway?
  5. Up against a cactus in death valley? Seems kinda extreme
  6. The web forms I have seen the USA normally takes pride of place at the very top or even as a default selection. At least you don't have to look to see if you are listed as United Kingdom, England or Great Britain! Seems to be no standard
  7. I guess its a good thing I don't like sweets or chocolate!
  8. Surely being the majority option it should be up at the top, not hidden at the bottom. In fact its not even at the botom its on the next page on its own as if it was an after thought
  9. I understand the need to be politically correct but why on an application form for a job where you have to be a British citizen is the box for White - British under the 'ethnic origin' section the very last option? 16th place down on the list?
  10. Not wearing a poppy yet but I will be and also laying a wreath at a ceremony next weekend
  11. No, we make mistakes alright, but like the old saying 'if at first you dont suceed, remove any evidence that you ever tried', we bin anything that isn't right and start again. PLus side is at the end of the month we have a lovely bin full of scrap aluminium and we sell it for scrap!
  12. Nathan. No origin other than they liked it, well my Mum did and she wore the trousers, so it stuck I was lucky to escape being called Josh (thanks you lord)
  13. Haha, my supervisor emailed his nominations for our annual awards to all of us rather than to his supervisor. That was funny! Kind of ruined it On a similar note when talking ABOUT someone in a text message, because you've got them on the mind, make sure you don't accidently send the message TO them I've done that so many times
  14. *sigh* I've PMd you to educate you
  15. Haha, cant argue with that, I guess they could only afford to get you flowers then. Lol, just make sure you keep busy else they might start trimming the 'dead wood'
  16. You could make your cat piss & shit in other peoples gardens, thats what they apprantly do in our neighbourhood - fuckers!
  17. That was nice of them to reward your 25 years service with flowers The guys at work were so happy last week that the boss treated us to a set of biscuits they forgot we been busting a gut for months! Nice gesture but really, for all you've done for them, it doesn't mean shit
  18. I guess hes just shitting himself because he not got the trump card anymore, slowly but surely the world around him is catching up with their nuclear program and that includes everyone hes been pissing off. Soon to be heard quoting: "But... but... but... but... how can we beat up on other countries if they got big boom booms too? No fair!"
  19. Inerestingly (or not) constables of the CNC are the only officers granted authority to use firearms to protect property (Nuclear material) as other armed officers only have authority to protect life. Not really thought of it like that but I suppose that is the case, although protecting nuclear material would indirectly be protecting life anyway I guess. Rifle seems good for the job having read more. I don't know what the predecessor was but the powers that be obviously decided it wasn't up to the job anymore. I imagine it would have been the MP5
  20. Looks like its come straight off the streets of Belfast
  21. This is the Civil Nuclear Constabulary though, formerly UKAEA. all officers are armed
  22. Cheers dude, I guess they chose that specific model as you might have to have the rifle raised in a vehicle and also for moving around in buildings. Does that sound correct? Its new one issued this year so I shall try and read up on it now I know what model it is. Thanks
  23. Thats OK, you lot probably think I come from In-Ger-Land. American films always have the worst British accents in them. I can't remember what film it was now, but they fired an actor because his English accent wasn't realistic... yet he was English *sigh*
