OK people, my idea of classic hits are songs dating back to around 1990 so I guess your showing your age (or my lack of)
-
The only things I can say are only good. I went there on my own too, feeling like I was going to be a loner. Soon as I put my bags down in my room I was invited out for a meal and on the piss. That was the pattern for the rest of the 10 days too with the odd skydive for good measure I really enjoyed it, even when the weather sucked cos of the tramantana (sp?) everyone was up for a laugh. the towns only 10 minutes walk with some really cool bars & restauraunts. The Orange Kiwi and Captains Cabin and skydiver friendly pubs and CC even plays skydiving DVDs on there bigscreen TVs which is cool when your getting pissed. Damn I can't wait to go back in January Some of the guys from here are going in November too.

BWAHAHA, not hank you! You can keep that crap

Thats what I was trying to say but I suck at getting my point across

You raise a very good point that I have been annoyed with for a long time. Phobia = Fear whereas ....ist means discriminatory against - eg ageist, sexist, racist So why is it that somone who has negative opinions around homosexuality is described as being afraid of it? I assure you the majority aren't scared of it, just don't approve (to varying levels of extremism) Using the same reasoning, but from the opposite side, how can you prosecute someone for being scared of something? Cases are ripped apart everyday by people digging out law books and dictionarys and trying to establish or twist legal definitions. If someone is in fear then they often have legal defences for their actions. A strange anomaly in the English language or is it because the clash of vowells in homoist just makes it too difficult!?

I'd rather be stuck on the wire ala WW1 than go out like that

You'll either love or hate this then Faith no more cover of War Pigs by Black Sabbath
-
Damn, another one. How could I forget!? Faith No More - Digging The Grave - live
-
Haha, yeah! One is a sweet song, I used to play that on guitar, well, try to! I have some shameful secrets in my musical past too
-
Great, a fucking comedian! Care to share?
-

Faith No More - Epic - Live @ Brixton Academy Faith No More - Midlife Crisis - Live on MTV Therapy? - Teethgrinder - Live at Brixton Academy Therapy? - If It Kills Me - Official Video Metallica - Enter Sandman - Live (venue unknown) Metallica - Sad But True Anyone else got any songs of their past they just can't help but rock out to when they hear?

Do I get points for at least recognising it was three dimensional?!

I don't think the person hanging is a painting, that looks real to me If it is painted on then its really clever! So it might not be criminal damage but it still looks shit. I think the best grafitti crew I know of are Monsters of Art. The stuff they do is ridiculous! So big and bold in that they will do a whole train or building under cover of darkness. You got to give them some credit! http://www.alanemmins.com/feature_syndication/graffiti_moa.html

Both were instructors but am unsure as to their rigging/packing qualifications. I looked at the site http://www.skydivewings.com/rigging.html and am just about to go to DZ now. I'll also ask about my reserve cable length. Thanks people!
-
.... and your just about to forward the images on to the police right?!
-
OK, funny thing is I've had 2 kit inspections at different DZs and noones noticed anything or commented I'm going down there tomorrow, CHeers people
-
If they are motorcyclists you could use this technique http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FUneG1s1GP0 NOTE: *JOKE* For gods sake don't!
-
Ahh, I misunderstood, temporary bumps. Sorry. I have no problem if someone acting an ass causes damage to their own vehicle as a result of their actions. I'd just call it karma, but I don't think subjecting everyone in the road to having to go over speed bumps is fair if they are responsible drivers. Those things snag exhausts, sumps, cause excessive and undue wear on suspension components and can cause body damage if you got a low car
-
Now why would I want to go and do a thing like that
-
On the same note you could just unscrew the valve internals. No permanant damage made, they wouldn't even need to remove the tyre off the rim. Workshop could just screw in another one. But theyd know someone removed it

Avg MPG, 1980 and Today...a whopping 7% increase!!

OK, I got on this a bit late but coming from an engineering and specifically performance engine building/modification background I can say that it becomes harder to make real gains once you get to a certain point. Manufacturing techniques obviously have to be cost effective else they won't be able to sell the product. The performance and therefore efficiency you can achieve out of an engine is a steep curve. You get to a certain point and unless your prepared to pay out big bucks for specialist equipment and machining your just not going to get it. I again refer to power as it is similar theory. Start with engine with 100BHP, overbore it, new pistons, lightweight rods, machined crankshaft etc you can achieve a much better figure. Say 160 BHP, now once you already got this high platform its difficult to achieve anymore gains without fine adjustment and mega investment. Something which we as consumers dont want to pay for. I guess what I'm saying is an engine is just a hunk of rotating parts and a means of moving air/fuel around and creating rotary energy. Once you got to a nice efficient design its hard to better it. Cars have improved considerably aerodynamically though which helps. (theres you 7% - lol) Could you invent a more efficient means of driving a vehicle? The wheel is so outdated nowadays, but its a great design that can't be bettered. Same principle. 7% more efficient might not sound alot but I bet if you get data on the emissions on fuel in the 80s compared to now we putting out alot cleaner waste product. Catalytic converters and the removal of leaded fuel for a starter Also its not fashionable to have an economical car that does 60MPG and normally not fun either. -
Why should you have to destroy your road for one household of idiots? Tell the police, but chances are they won't be there at the right time, its a game of chance. I've managed to stop 2 people speeding by causing them to have 'collisions'. One was at my old work, cars used to race up and down the link road so I pushed the trailer into the road by about a foot. Sure enough, mr unattentive but in a rush drove straight into it ripping off their bumper. Not going to solve the problem but took out one idiot. The other was at my current work, I made sure that at the right time of the morning (as she was driving in) I was outside carrying a bit of steel. It was enough for her to shit herself and stand on the brakes and everyone look at her tutting. So I guess, the best method is to present some sort of unexpected hazard for them to either have damage caused to their car or make them think. Maybe like an empty pram left in the road at a strategic spot where they fly round like a blind corner if you got one. Or you could just push it in front of them, make like you havent seen them and walk in the road with it. The few seconds where they think they hit a baby would be priceless MWAHAHAHA

Lol, I was 18 then. I saved up for months to do AFF level 1 when I was an apprentice panel beater. Then I couldn't afford anymore But I came back 3 years later and started fresh!
