  1. It got a bit melodramatic toward the end like a shitty soap opera. Anyone think its acted?
  2. I'm really sorry I'm sure he's at peace now. I don't know what else to say. RIP
  3. Just to clarify, because its confusing... are you referring to the 'London' Parachute School....... .... you know, the one between Reading & Oxford where London most definately ISN'T! lol EDIT for seriousness: I would also be interested what peoples thoughts are, paticularly from active fun jumpers Also try here mate: http://www.ukskydiver.co.uk/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=42&sid=d80519272011bf3cdc486aee7a623c4a
  4. Thats an intersting point you raise and I think one of the best ideas they've had is fitting cameras to tasers so when they are deployed they automatically start recording. At the moment they are only issued to authorised firearms officers over here but with the correct monitored usage (like the use of camera) I'd like to see all officers routinely armed with Tasers
  5. When people passively resist its hard to gain control, when it becomes active resistance (like he ws just prior to being tased) its almost impossible to safely escort someone, especially out of a complex like a university. If the use of a taser was the only way that officer felt he could control the situation safely then thats his call. Any complaint as to whether it was excessive would be investigated by the courts. Students from privelaged backgrounds are always the first to cry 'excessive force!' when they see any level of force displayed and are a pain in the arse when your trying to control a situation and you got a load of them shouting at you because they dont agree with what your doing. They all think they are clever and know the law. Thats my perception
  6. Your opinion of an officers use of force means shit. It would be between him and the court. Your perception is worthless
  7. I'll marry you to tread on Andys toes. It'd be worth it
  8. What a great program. I really hope you continue to develop it. I know I'd like to see it
  9. Its a great series. I think it addresses alot of issues about diversity, policing and political correctness and gets away with it by being old fashioned. Its what people want to see as opposed to the modern cotton wool world we live in now. Some of the lines in it are classic too
  10. I think my work will have more to do with getting me home bit!
  11. haha, well hurry up and get your act together. If your going to designate yourself the hosts of the 'WORLD' event pull your finger out and bloody get on with it... then I'll be there
  12. Europe is packed with skydivers, just because they don't post on DZ.com doesn't mean there aren't any. Go to somewhere like Emp and you got all sorts of nationalities. Its great. Its a hub of european skydiving. You have a valid point with regards to cost though. Because we are charged so much for jump tickets by comparison and thanks to the strong pound we'd get double the amount of jumps for our money.... if not triple
  13. Yeah that would truly be bad. Ummm... *runs*
  14. Yes, I sometimes forget that America is the world Somewhere more convenient for the European skydivers would be great. Tickets to your slums in the states cost a fortune. Whereas with the cheap air travel anyone in Europe can go anywhere else in Europe for no more than £50 return. Spain would rock
  15. Haha, I won't get it then. I'm a humble peasant land boy who only looks to the sky in awe I suppose shes doing alright
  16. 4 years ago they wouldn't have been able to hold such a demonstration without reprisals. Ironically, this makes me happier that we have done a good thing. The timing of withdrawal will always be difficult (oo-er)
  17. I think I was more comfortable thinking a man was wearing a diamond wedding ring than the realisation that she has man hands EDIT: I see the pics mysteriously been altered!
  18. BWAHAHA. You'd definately have to organise alternative entertainment, just in case! But when the UK summer gets rolling its normally pretty fearsome. Especially the last few years. Been scorchers. I'd love to see a big event like that in the UK though. Maybe take over one of the wannabe airports for a few days like Manston or Lydd.
  19. The funny thing is if they had been executed noone would be saying how they did the right thing. It would be outrage that such a thing could be allowed to happen and that they didnt even put up a fight. I am fuming that the whole snatch was able to happen. It shouldn't happen, with whatever vessel was coordinating operations in the area and other support, surely!? When they sensed something was up why wasn't support provided or why didnt they withdraw? I thought a Lynx helicopter was present. That should have issued a challenge to the approaching craft or if neccesary used some level of force. Its purpose is to destroy surface vessels!
  20. Its not chest beating, it demonstrates someone doesnt have to be designated a threat to be one, as the whole scenario has proved.
