People like this get on my tits. What kind of lame excuse is that. I leant a friend my Crosswind DVD 2 years ago and she still hasn't even looked at it. She asked me for it too, not like I said shes got to watch it! So in 2 year she hasn't had a spare hour and a half. What a crock. She should just say. I don't want to watch it, I've lost it, I've changed my mind or whatever. Next time someone says to me that they haven't had the time to do something when really they have had ample oppurtunity I think I'm going to punch them in the mouth. I'll admit I am lazy though... thats why I don't get things done!

We havce a similar offence in the UK called 'drunk in charge of a motor vehicle' but its rarely enforced unless it is considered the person will drive. If I found someone really drunk in their car sleeping it I've either told them to put the keys in the boot so its obvious they have no intention of driving and noone could really argue they were 'in charge' or I have confiscated the keys and got another patrol to drop them off later. I also had a good arrest out of it though. A guy had drove all the way home, then fallen asleep in his car outside his house he nearly made it! Unfortunately for him I spotted him and he was nicked. Rightly so too. He was 4 times over the limit Alot of offences sound like a piss take and they can unfortunately be abused. There original foundings were as a catch all where existing law failed like in my example. He wasn't driving but he had been, so why should he get away with it? BTW your traffic law sounds a lot harsher than ours and some of your cops sound lke they have no element of discretion from what I read. THey just identify (often petty) offences and ticket them. THe common sense approach to policing is sadly going out the window

Yes, please do. And also a paper suit and gloves. The nasty toxins (isocyanate for one) from the paint can also absorb through your skin. This paint system was first used extensively during the 1970's and 1980's. The paint is extremely toxic. Isocyanate is a respiratory sensitiser so inhalation can affect breathing, with potentially fatal results. For this reason, this particular system is not normally suitable for application by DIY enthusiasts, as it requires special breathing equipment.

How many fatal car accidents have you attended? How many times have you had to try to comfort someone in a car accident before an ambulance attends because there is nothing you can do. Have you ever gone round someones house and told them that their son has died in a car accident? You sound very big on freedom and personal choice. What about the rights of others on the road to be safe? If you're really that keen on doing it I hope you won't have your licence much longer. Do you realise that talking on your phone whilst driving actually makes your reaction times slower than if you were over the drink/drive limit (Breath: 30ug/100ml) by a couple of units. Unfortunately with this website we tend to think that someones opinion is representitive of their countries views. I'd just like to point out this would be totally incorrect.

Riggers - What do you do when you find a mistake?
Scoop replied to Scoop's topic in Gear and Rigging
Hi, I just wondered what you guys do when you come across a balls up with someones rig. Either an assembly issue or a reserve packing problem (like the thread about the packing clamp). I've been pulled to one side a couple of times and advised that things were not as they should have been. Whats your approach? If you find something dangerous do you always tell the owner or do you just rectify it and feel that maybe its better they don't know what danger they were in? Paticularly interested if the mistake was made by yourself on a previous inspection/repair/repack. I can see how the desire to keep quiet for credibility and business could be greater than highlighting a problem to the jumper (your customer) I was going to make a poll but I guess every situation is unique and can be dealt with in its own way so can't really pigeon hole every answer but I'd be interested to see what the responses are. No doubt when you discover a problem in someone elses work its great to point out the cock up!
