  1. What you need to do is get a load of people to ring up Crimestoppers because its anonymous and report that you've heard of a plan to use mobile phones on aircraft to hide explosives or something. When that intel filters through, voila, mobiles will be banned altogether on aircraft!
  2. I hate ladders. The scariest thing you could ask me to do is climb a ladder. The worst bit is when you are working at height and you have to get on the ladder to go back down and as you gently reach out for the ladder you push it away at an angle then put your weight on it. SCARY! I hate heights!
  3. I thought people got into NASCAR when they put on too many pounds to get into a single seater anymore. I actually enjoy watching NASCAR but its nothing compared to F1 or even British Touring Cars, You can hardly call a NASCAR vehicle a saloon car. Aren't they spaceframes?
  4. I'm going up with my two uncles on the 27th November which is a Tuesday unfortunately. I've never been before but I'll take some tissues to mop up the drool.
  5. Don't be stupid. The police can't walk into peoples houses for no reason and start searching around for stuff. You clearly haven't got a clue. For once I agree with John. There is more to the story if you choose to read it.
  6. I wouldn't buy a French PoS. Renaults and CItroens aren't renowned for their build quality. Saying that my suggestion isn't much better, but for function and space a Vauxhall Zafira is quite good. Have you had a look at one of those? I'm looking at the new Volvo XC70 for space and rugged capabilities unless something better comes along in the next year or two. http://www.volvocars.co.uk/models/XC70/ Whoever said Volvos are crap is talking rubbish. They are the most solid cars I've ever had the pleasure to work on and drive. Although they do fit them with motorcycle magnets in the front bumper as standard Which reminds me, I am going to the bike show at the NEC this year, you going?
  7. Wheres the interesting recipe?
  8. That is so last year I feel liberated now!

Is it the early part of Eminem's career?
  10. Yeah, I tried NDIS wrapper with the right driver for the chipset and still no joy. I reckon its a PCMCIA issue. Hopefully be resolved by getting a newer version. I was running Ubuntu 6.06 Dapper.
  11. but its only a second language because those fuckers at MS have monopolised the market.
  12. Hehe, Dell are selling home computers and laptops with Linux preinstalled now. I just think a bit of variety can help create a fairer market. Why pay 100 odd quid for a copy of windows which you have to smother with firewalls, anti spyware, close ports and patch with updates to keep secure when you can have free open source software. I will agree it is a nightmare to set some things up but Ubuntu is childsplay, runs fast, power lasts much longer on a laptop battery and is secure right out the box AND IS FREE. EDIT: Oh and alot of CAD/CAM is now operated on Linux machines as they are more stable, similarly so are servers. But I won't preach anymore
  13. Microsoft suck arse. I have Ubuntu Linux on all my machines.. except on this fucking laptop cos I can't set the wireless card up on it Open source it baby, the future of software development depends on whether we rely on monopolising companies like Microsoft or support free software. To make thinks worse they have sponsored a school in our area and all the students are getting laptops issued. What a great way to get a hold of the market, by getting kids used to MS products while they are young enough not to know any better then grow up with no experience of any other format. WANKERS
  14. Hi. We have thousands of pounds available for projects like this. Its just a case of making an application with supporting evidence. I've been on leave for nearly 3 weeks but I'll look into it more when I return.
  15. Just recently, I have liked to just totally zone out. I pop some earplugs in and close my eyes and slow my breathing right down. Its a lovely calm before the hostile environment of freefall. Its quite bizarre how calm and composed you can make yourself before stepping out the door

    Rugby World Cup

As bad a result as it was, I didn't think England were playing that bad a game at first. After getting relentlessly demoralised, physically smashed it all went wrong, like the silly underarm lineout, kicks getting charged down, losing posession to turnovers. I honestly still believe England are a good side, but SA didn't give us many opportunities. They played an incredible game. I wouldn't be surprised if they walk straight through this competition if they keep on form. Hats off to Habana, he is an unbelievable assest to the team. DId you hear the stats in the game build up. He can run 26.3 MPH or something ridiculous and hes agile like a gazelle yet got the power to hand off too. Big respect to him. We needed to injure him early on really We are in a terrible psychological state for the game against Samoa. I reckon as soon as they do their pre match war dance our lot will just be totally out-psyched. But I hope not.
  17. Number 4 is the reason everyone young lad wears goggles at the swimming pool
  18. It was members of that team that shot and killed an armed robber in the sleepy town that is my beat.. http://news.independent.co.uk/uk/crime/article1948933.ece Seems they are getting confident in their use of force, something which is traditionally only used to lower extents in the UK. Good for them For your info when the family came to show respects where our robber was shot dead by police the town stood around in silence staring at them and when they left they removed all the tributes and flowers and disposed of them.
  19. If your side of the world is going to be keeping pace with ours you'll be wasting your money. We all use the encryted airwaves tetra network which cannot be monitored. I can only imgaine something similar will coome your way in the next few years.
  20. I don't know what to think at the moment. I heard they had found blood in the vehicle. People are jumping up saying that the police planted evidence. If it is indeed blood, I would like to know how you 'plant' the blood of a child WHO IS MISSING in a vehicle. Now thats an even better trick than moving a body under a media scrum. Of course, if they are now saying its not blood then who knows. I think I'm right in saying there is no DNA in hair, or its difficult to extract DNA from hair. I think you need a root. I would also have to say it would be pretty hard to cross contminate a vehicle some 25 days later.

    Stolen Gear

Holy shit. Whoever it is needs some treatment the old skool way. ie cut off their hands. Who would do such a thing though, its pretty idiotic, its such a small community.
