Thanks, as soon as I get a start date for work I'll be able to make some plans.
-
I'm probably having a stupid moment... but whats the closest major airport to fly into? Thanks, Sam
-
I've got caught up in the moment and knocked back way too many beers to jump the next morning, however, a dose of fresh air and adrenaline are the cure for a hangover right!? I bought a bacon sandwich to fill my stomach with something substantial but just coulnd't stop heaving and sweating. Then I had a flash of sense and decided it was madness and took my name off the list. At best I wouldn't have enjoyed it, at worst my shit wouldn't have been quick enough if there was a problem or mal. I think its important for people, especially about my experience level who have got licenced and have started travelling around to just be careful with the whole party atmosphere thing at some DZs. If you're gonna go mad its probably best to acknowledge your mornings jumping is ruined.

Thanks man, hopefully I'll see you later in the year

Electric Bicycles. Billvon Feel Free to Offer Your Advice...

Soon you'll wonder why you ever bothered with a car. At peak times I can get around just as fast on a bike in my town. Check this out, lunatics: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HLzGj10fg2g -
I'm hoping to have a month between jobs if I can save hard enough now to cover my bills when I'm not working. It'll be a tent job!

I haven't seen the hill so I can't comment! -
I wonder if someone has put the coolant hoses on in some weird order so its not flowing around the head and block as it should do. I've seen that before, although more with competition engines with all non-genuine Samco type hosing.

Have you tried the magic paperclip test to see if the fan is working? Find the temperature sensor and bridge across the connection with a paperclip and the fan should come on. Easy way to test if the fan is working. If not then, as others have said, it sounds like it could be blocked somewhere, although how I don't know.

Cool least you know where you stand. Sounds quite grown up to me.

Haha, I'll bring my common sense even if its not required What about AADs?

Has Lodi still got the great prices? Thinking of coming over for a few weeks intensive jumping as the euro-pound rate isn't as good as it used to be and I really, really need to get my experience up. Want to do 150 jumps. I know they are non-USPA (or were). As a foreign jumper with a private third party insurance policy and an FAI A licence issued by BPA is that all the paperwork I'll need?
-
Thanks for that. Couple of my mates have them, they sell them in Demon Tweeks. Should probably just make use of my discount card there and order one rather than muck around making something.
-
Yeah, you could also use it to see when the jumpers ar at 45 degrees.... *runs & hides*

I reckon you should just go with old fashioned pedal power, none of this electric crap. I love hills when I'm cycling, cues the start of a sprint for me! I ride to work, then while at work cycle all day for ten hours, then have to ride home again. Whilst I'm often gutted when it comes to time to go home as I know I have to ride home, its great to force yourself to have to give that little bit extra. Won't take long and you'll be used to it. -
I don't think we do have metric. I took my camera into the workshop a while ago and we couldn't figure it out then after quick rummage and most our stuff was metric. Now I know I'll order one. I'll have a quick measure with a vernier to see if its 1/4 or 3/8. Ta!

Weird but thanks

Anyone know what the thread is on the base of Sony Camcorders? Specifically the HC28 model. Looks a bit like may be a UNC thread but without a thread gauge I can't be certain. Need to know for a bracket for my race car. Thanks.

Get something outrageous like an old Aprila RS250 that you have to rev the nuts off everywhere and ride hard. Get to your destination sweating and shaking!

Definately. But if you need to gain compliance there are safer ways in alot of circumstances. It is effective though! I can see why people are keen to use it. It beats risking getting an injury yourself I suppose. Anyway, my shift ended six hours ago ad I feel like I never went home with all this talk so I'm gonna bow out of this one. Was good to discuss.

I still think to use a taser as a 'remote control' simply to gain compliance (think of the videos of people refusing to get out the cab of their cars we've all seen) is disgusting. If you did so over here you'd be sacked and face criminal prosecution. As a side note, some of thebeauracracy in the police is legendary and someone once made a joke 'foot chase policy' as a parrallel to our sometimes ridiculous vehicle pursuit policy. Can't find it online though

Stop being a dick. It obviously wasn't anything important. We've all done it and similar things. Being part of a team involves piss taking. We definately appear to have a culture conflict here. We can run after whoever we like. We don't need a reason to talk to someone, we would need a reason to restrain someone but often if you catch up with people they will stop and talk. Good example is kids that are drinking underage or when we respond to a call and a group starburst and we don't knoww hat offences, if any, have been committed at that point. I hate lazy officers and I hate ineffective officers which is why I get annoyed when people question me.

Is that the American Dream?
