Yeah, just wondered if anyone had any knowledge of either an after market product, a product recall and adaption or whether it was normal.

To be honest I dont know. I've bought a used Cypres to go in my first rig. Being a little bit uneducated when it comes to most skydiving equipment I handed it all to my rigger for assembly and a reserve pack. Got phone call today... "who did you buy it off and can I contact them. It has an anti-spike component fitted that I have heard about but never seen and I dont think its standard. Anyway. Ill pack your rig but I'm not going to fit the Cypres until I've spoken with Air-Tec" He didnt say a sleevs but a component installed in the arming cable/wire? Does that make sense. I notced a black plastic soupling about an inch in length but just assumed that was a standard joint to allow removal of wire. Its a Cypres 1 by the way

Anyone have any knowledge of this? I forget the name of the component. Is it approved by Air-Tec? Sorry I don't have much more imformation. If you know what I'm on about some input would be appreciated as to there legality, purpose and pros/cons. Thanks

I guess powerful firearms just aren't neccesary in every day life. Unless you are a big game hunter what need do you have for a high velocity rifle or fully automatic rifle, even a pistol. As a nation we don't feel the need to carry firearms on the whole. Although my previous calculation was an error, ratio of persons per murder per country is 5 to 1. Thats still a hell of a lot better than you guys if you don't mind me saying so. Well who cares if you do. Its fact after all. The trouble with firearms is any faggot can pick up a gun and shoot someone. They dont even need to get close. Its very impersonal and in my opinion (having never killed anyone might I add) is a lot easier. We all know soldiers find it easier to shoot at silhouettes or distant figures than if you gave them a knife and told them to slit someones throat. John, I have to say, I find it fucking annoying that you bring up a topic like this with no argument or constructive comment other than 'you guys got it all wrong'. Well it appears we haven't. Maybe you could make it your life mission to visit every single victims family of those affected by gun crime and tell them that your doing the right thing. Your son or daughter didn't die for nothing. Its a great American tradition!

Hehe, speaking from our racing days and thinking outside the box. Does that mean you could trash pack the thing. I mean a real, just stuff it in the bag and close the container in a s quick as possible and only incur a maximum of 60 second penalty Could have it packed in 2 mins + 60 second penalty = Winner!

I did check that and to be fair since 1996 our population only grown from 58 million to 60 million. Still 69 murders in 60 million people. I like those odds Thats 1 in 869,565 persons. USA: 16,912 murders in 295 million population. That however is 1 in 17,443 You can keep your stinking guns

Jesus John. Get over it. Anyone would think you lived here or something. Isnt it shocking that the 'soar' represents a small percentage. Maybe 20% in ten years. It is also including manslaughter in the figures which ISN'T homicide.

I got it as my signature but I can't for the life of me remember its origin (as in web wise) but was Leonardo Da Vinci. No doubt chinese whispers has changed it along the way. He probably commented how the sky was pretty once and it just got built on Brief searched found this.. http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/quotes/l/leonardoda125723.html but more interestingly this...

I got myself a plain black, rope-type necklace and I thread that through the centre of a ring thats special to me (not wedding ring) and wear it round my neck. I've worn it few times jumping and it stays neatly under my shirt and jumpsuit although I have seen video of people necklaces flapping which is kinda scary. Also, working as a mechanical engineer I don't want to damage it, or more importantly rip my finger off, so round my neck it lives. At least if I lost a finger at work they might be able to do something about it, if I lost it at 12k feet on handle of aircraft I doubt I'd find it

I agree but an entertaining video all the same My friend is keen footballer and was embarrassed to tell people he plays during this world cup. So much pathetic diving and playing to the ref. If your gonna take chunks out of each other discreetly then do it and dont complain when it happens back to you or roll over holding your face when someone brushed your shoulder.

I say come on Italy! Only thing that'll be a pain is if France lose they'll probably blockade the tunnel and ferry ports like they usually do in response to anything that happens! ... funny, but its true

My new rig got held at customs from US. They held it until I could tell them exactly waht it was. I told them it was a new harness/container system and they released it.... I still never got hit with any charges Do you still pay taxes on secondhand items? I thought ws only for new

For a minute I thought you were talking about all the people that dress up as superman to do a tandem and think they are really funny and original. I'll keep waiting for the day when two people turn up the same. That'll be funny!

Nice suit! smooooooooooooking

Your right. When I repaired cars nothing frustrated me more than re-installing seatbelts. You have to hold the spool at the perfect angle else you cant release the belt. Crazy really. Paticularly when you consider in event of accident your not neccesarily going to be orientated correctly or may have your weight on it. Now you know why all emergancy personnel carry hook knives in their vehicles. One I use is exactly the same as my skydiving hook knife
