feline luk and rabies should be TOP on the list. make sure you do the fe - luk test before you do a vaccine. some clinics will just do the vaccine b/c it costs more. then of course rabies and distemper. check to see if he's declawed. that'll be a good sign of whether he's had a home before. also, look at his paws. if the pads are moderately cracked, or there is severe dryness between the claws, that's a GOOD sign of if and how long he's been living outside. if he ends up a she, and she's not spayed, do it soon. he/she looks older, and the longer they go unspayed the higher risk they run for hyperplasia and pyometra. NOT pretty and NOT cheap! of course neuter him if he's a him lol. im goin' with michele though - judging by paw size and his facial features, he looks like a he. dont buy the flea dips from the grocery store or pet store. take him to the vet, have him bathed, shaved, and flea dipped, and while thats going on set off a bomb at home. just to be safe. that should take care of any concern. oh, and DEFINATELY have him wormed. it usually takes a series of 2-3 worming treatments. if he's been living outside and unvaccinated, he's been exposed to all the elements and likely has at least roundworms. or do a fecal exam at your vet and check. id do the wormings regardless of the test results, though. start heartworm prevention now!!!! there's no cure or treatment for cats! if they get it, thats it. he's so damn cute!!!!!! i like the name 'phil' someone had mentioned. he definately looks like a phil. have fun! he looks like he's got a lot of character lol oh - a good way to tell if the kitty is a boy or girl - lift up the tail...both sexes have 2 holes visible from this angle, but on a female, the holes are close together. on a male, if he is neutered he will still have testes, they will just be significantly smaller. if theres anything resembling a little something extra, he's a he. sometimes its hard to see w/ an untrained eye. thats my point though - he would have benefited more with a larger sale! the s&w i was looking at was around 550ish or so - this rossi he was trying to sell me was around 280. plus, i would benefit more from a well made, functional weapon then i would with one that locks up and has a bad overall reputation for malfunctioning. they dissuaded me from checking out the taurus behind the counter - i like these guys, but maybe i should shop for this one somewhere else lol. you cant just overlook this many bad opinions. that's where im getting confused. the guys in the gun shop were ALL FOR rossi. i was looking at s&ws and they were trying to sway me toward the rossi! for less money! they were both older men, in their 60s, and they kept talking about rossi's wonderful reputation and warranty etc etc...nothing but good things to say. my dad trashed it - but he's a ruger man. and no one has said a good thing about it here. i just cant get why these guys at the shop think rossi is such hot shit! they almost had me convinced...hmmm Oh Canada, merci pour la livraison!

yeah every s&w pistol ive ever shot has had a heavy trigger. i didn't notice that as much with the 60LS lady wesson (or is it ladysmith?) lol.i just didnt like the fit. i dont have a whole lot of experience w/ revolvers. i started shooting w/ a 9mm ruger and ive pretty much stuck w/ ruger pistols and glocks... the gun shop ive been dealing with seems to be in favor of the rossi, but the local shooting range doesnt have it to rent. im getting mixed opinions. if im going to be compromising quality by going w/a rossi though, maybe i should stick w/ ruger! or look a little more closely at the s&w... i use this site for the kids i babysit for...http://geography.about.com/library/maps/blusx.htm when you click the state of your choice, a page comes up w/ map options. there is an option for 'free blank outline map'...from your example, i think this could be what you're looking for?? if not i know of a site w/ usable maps of all states, with major highways included.... i was in your situation when i started college...something i learned the hard way: be careful how many card applications you're sending in. every time you're declined, that goes on your report. when other companies see that they'll decline you SO fast. also, every time someone checks your credit, that goes on your report. if theres a lot of activity, thats a red flag to lenders. the 1st card i got was through capital 1 w/ a 500 limit. it did the trick. after about a year of paying on time and in full every month, i got approved by bank of america for a card with a MUCH higher limit. just be careful about how many of those applications you're mailing in. that could come back to bite ya in the ass!
