Bleh- I posted the video after coming across the link during a surfing episode gone wrong looking at packing tips. I thought the video was pretty damn funny 'cuz thats something that my friends and I would do at our DZ. I didn't mean to get so many angry fingers shaking. Skydiving is FUN! If every jump went by way of formal paperwork request and committee evaluation im sure we'd all get bored. One time I was on the step - a friend was in the door and another in the V and a fourth hanging from the strut (182) I nodded at the jumper in the door and on 'Ready' my friend in the V just tackled me and we all just fell away end over end! It killed the 1st point but it was damn funny! Thats the kind of stuff I'm talking about! I need to get back in the air - its snowing right now --- and give them wings so they may fly free forever DiverDriver in Training

I'm gonna have to apologise here for my post. I jump at a very small drop zone where everyone knows eachother very well. We spot manually and we have an incredible amount of outs (indiana). I presumed that the video was at a DZ similar to mine where everyone is active in spotting the plane/ knowing eachother/ knowing eachother's dive plan. I agree that in a situation where the flat flyers are unprepared this could have been an incident. My bad on the joke - I'm just weather grounded and extremely easily entertained --- and give them wings so they may fly free forever DiverDriver in Training

I don't think anyone is responding to your posts as a personal attack to you, but if you read the '10x markup' post critically you could probably understand why it is abrasive to the other posters on this site. I really don't think that PD can make a SabreII for less than $160. I recently bought a container, and I've really come to appreciate where the cost comes from. Development, testing, HAND MADE craftsmanship - all right here in the USA. You can't beat that kind of piece of mind. Call or email Bill Booth at RWS and he will probably be glad to explain to you how a 10x markup is not possible. As for saying that 'Skydivers have more money than brains,' for me its not about finding the best deal. Hell, if I was a thrifty person when it came to skydiving there's no way in hell that I'd still be in it! I jump because I love the flying and the people... I won't drive 8 hours for a 4 dollar cheaper jump ticket but I'll drive it for a sunset dive w/ my friends.
