Isn't it funny how some people go out of their way to convince you that you really do want kids?!! It's like it bothers them somehow that you're so obviously "wrong" about what you want and they so obviously know better than you!! I'm of two minds on the subject. I never wanted kids. No reason, just didn't want them. Then one day, out of the blue, I felt totally happy in my relationship, thought it would last forever, and really wanted to bring children into our lives.. A couple of years later and single again (well, seeing someone, but a very new relationship).. No desire whatsoever to have kids. So I guess a special set of circumstances can always change things, but fundamentally I don't think I do want kids.. If they allowed topless photos for passport ID they'd never be able to identify anyone!! Well.. No one female, anyway! At the price I've paid over the years to stay here it's hardly been free.. First visa was something just under £100; second was £500; indefinite leave was £950; transferring indefinite leave to new Canadian passport will be £515; UK citizenship will be £720.. Total over the past 5 years: £2,785. And that's not even counting all the associated costs/admin/travel fees.. I make it about £3,000 all in. I think the new passports can be scanned electronically & it's something to do with software recognising people from a "wanted" database.. Increased security measures, etc.. In a way, it's surprising to me that passports are still so "behind the times" in terms of technology.. But hey.. Some things take time (and money).. Yeah, I know the requirements, and it's this one I'm not sure about for the pic on the left: "Photos must show both edges of the face clearly" I had both taken professionally, so they *should* meet the standards, but I do think my face on the left has shadows on it.. I think it's probably too dark, but I like me better in it.. *sigh*.. Decisions, decisions.. It'll be on there for 10 years.. They're both a bit cringe-worthy, I think!! Edit: £83 sounds like a bargain.. It's gonna cost me £720 for my application.. In fairness, about half an hour after I took that pic my hair was flat & limp!! Maybe if I put a bit of mousse or hairspray in it it would stay looking glamorous a bit longer.. if i went 10 times a year it woud cost me that much I defy you to find a hairdresser that will cut a woman's hair for £7.20 in London!! Even a man's haircut is more than that.. At £10 you can expect the clippers to come out & for everything to end-up looking pretty lopsided.. Edit: Thanks xtravrtsoul - I agree

My ex used to get his hair cut about every month and used to brag about it only costing £10.. But that's £120 per year, which is still way more than I just paid Besides.. A bad haircut is REALLY depressing. I know it's vain, but it's still true. So after about 1 year, I've finally gotten myself to a hairdresser.. I HATE getting my hair cut, but it was getting really long & looking a bit limp.. So I figured since I live in London I might as well do a bit of research and find myself a top-notch stylist.. I know everyone's gonna think I didn't get much done, but she did cut a good 10 inches for the layers and the overall length is about 4 inches shorter.. To me it's a big difference! At £72, I thought it was a small fortune, but I'm so pleased with the result

The only flattering undies are bikini-briefs IMO - everything else only looks hot on the right pair of buns!! Personally, I think boy-shorts tend to make your bum look fuller, so they're harder to pull off. I don't find either particularly appealing in itself - it all depends on the bottom they are on!! Well, technically Squeak only repeated what was said to him.. If the PM-attacker ends up looking like a knob it's purely on the basis of what he said.. So if he didn't want to come off looking like a numpty he should have worded the PM a little differently.. (Or not sent it at all.) Was it immature for the PM-attacker to send that nastygram? Probably. Was it immature of Squeak to post the PM on here? Probably. Was it immature for all of us to laugh at it? Most definitely!! At the end of the day, if you post (or PM) on here, you open yourself up to daily ridicule - anyone who is a regular here should know that by now!! Agree partially.. Just that outing the person directly is a more full-on smack in the face whereas a mild indirect rebuff is a bit of a slap on the wrist.. Depends on whether you like to go for the jugular or whether you prefer to give a gentle "warning"..
