If the there is enough drag from the baglock to stand you up, there is probably enough for the RSL/Skyhook to deploy the reserve. In the case of the skyhook, I belive the reserve would be at line stretch before you even had a chance to end up on your back.

Lots of free advertising, which isn't bad in itself, but he took advantage of a charity event to get it. A ton of it.

I'm not sure what size they are, but the main is a Safire2. Edit: and a PD Reserve... -
I've grown quite fond of "Wanted" on Sunday nights.

Has that come out on DVD yet? I definitely will rent it. I'm more into home theater's than the real thing as whenever I go, it's always a gross experience somehow Yep, it's been out for a while

You left out Ice Age!

I've also heard that of that 2 million, the majority of it was not used on maintaining the levees. -
Hmm.. a reason like not having a means of transportation to get out? I remember hearing a statistic last week that as many as 20% of the residents of N.O. did not own a vehicle.

Michael Jackson was acquitted under his watch as well. Your point?

Personally, I'd recommend the suzuki SV650 or SV1000. Both good bikes, and they have a more upright riding position compared to sportbikes, so they're more comfortable on longer rides. Also, I believe they are both V-twins, so they'll put out quite a bit of low end torque like the ducati. The Yamaha FZ1000 would be a good bike for longer rides as well, but might be a bit much depending on how much riding experience you have.

Technically, It's duct tape, but it can be called "Duck" tape, when referring to it by the brand name...

No one checked it before you jumped it?

I am not sure what universe you come from but usually when a person drives faster it takes less time to get from A to B instead of more time. . Remember the physics definiton of acceleration? Doesn't mean the speed increased, just that it changed.

Yep, a trip to a federal pound-me-in-the-ass prison it would be.

Agreed. When I heard him use the term "us" in his rant, my first thought was "When the hell were you in N.O.?". Personally, he sickens me. He took advantage of a charity event to push his own agenda. Regardless of what his message was, his goal was not to help anyone in N.O., he was there solely for his own personal gain. Unfortunatly, because of all the media attention he is getting, it worked.

Actually, it's indicted. Are you being facetious? -

I'm not sure, but aren't things like this public record? If it is true, I'm sure someone will confirm it pretty quick. -
Yep.. Evil clouds.. I've seen them once, and it was just before 2 tornados hit... I remember the weather guy on TV saying that the air they are in is extremely turbulent, even when compared to normal storm clouds...

The "hole" he forgot to plug was probably the drain plug at the back of the boat. What a goober.

I'd agree too. I've ridden one or two single-cylinder 250's and they were a pain over 50mph. The EX500 might not be bad either. It'd do better on the highway, and it's still no where near the 600SS class bikes. I believe the Suzuki GS500 is a little bit shorter, and a little more docile than the SV.
-
Not necessarily. I've been able to notice quite a difference even at a reasonable distance, but it has been when I'm following a 53ft trailer in a car that stands only about 4 ft above the ground (and also has very good brakes). It works great for small cars, but is certainly a bad idea if you're driving an SUV or something of that size. Edit: by "reasonable distance" I mean a distance at which I could easily stop, and where the driver can see me. Any closer than that just makes me uncomfortable.

I wish the price of gas in the US would DOUBLE overnight

What if you hit a Civic from behind? It may be safer for you, but only because it's not for everybody else. -
If you're going to use synthetic oil, don't be cheap with the filter (Fram, motorcraft, etc..) Find one without paper filter material in it. (Mobil1) Also, if you're driving on the highway for an extended period of time, get behind a big truck. You can cruise at 70-75 mph without a huge amount of wind resistance. I've been able to get over 40mpg out of my V6 grand prix on the trip to the DZ doing this (95mi). Just don't get close enough to piss the driver off. The two best bikes for gas mileage are the Kawasaki EX250 and another 250 made by Honda thats more of a crusier-style bike. Both will get 60-70mpg, but the EX will fare better on the highway. Also, both are less than 3K brand new, and you can find used ones for around $1500.
