  3. Oh man now we are knocking maggot??? jeez guy gets a little bad press and everyone goes to shoot him down... so hes a little ferverent and a little too energetic while humping ralph the beast on the Great Hall floor... he makes me giggle a lot and reminds me that I took up this sport to smile relax and have a good time... and I am going to say this in Yuris defense even though I was furious at the Death Game legal him getting so pissed about it before and poked a lot of fun at his expense...if you look at that video of him having a cliff strike (and those of you basers that havenet had a strike yet, one day you will stay in the sport long enough and you will have an object strike...) he flew that fucker to the GROUND after getting whacked and as I said to yuris face that my friends is impressive... 4. I would say lay off the cocaine at sunset and the paranoia will ease away slowly.... but seriously for all you folks who talked about grieving parents...it is in my will that my parents get nothing and all the money goes to the USA Team fund should my parents sue :-P and then they get nothing and they know it fully... ANd that was after explaining to them why I came back to the sport after my acicident... Cheers Dave http://www.skyjunky.com CSpenceFLY - I can't believe the number of people willing to bet their life on someone else doing the right thing.

  6. Oh yeah BTW the course cost so far is goign to be $250 for 4 days of course since it is so far from brians old stomping grounds we might need to find him a place to stay... so it might be a few bucks more... Edited to say what I am doing is not taking money...I am jsut taking names...money to be sent to Brian directly...jsut let me know so I have a head count for the course....so I can get the space together for the classroom stuff Cheers Dave http://www.skyjunky.com CSpenceFLY - I can't believe the number of people willing to bet their life on someone else doing the right thing.

  8. get it out and make a necklace out of it that you can whack the idiots that wont learn from your mistakes with Cheers Dave http://www.skyjunky.com CSpenceFLY - I can't believe the number of people willing to bet their life on someone else doing the right thing.
  9. my turnign point came when someone hosed me on a tracking dive and I just straightened my body out and took off and caught the formation and learned how to haul ass.... which is nice when big jumps go bad cause you can haul across the sky and get the fuck away Cheers Dave http://www.skyjunky.com CSpenceFLY - I can't believe the number of people willing to bet their life on someone else doing the right thing.
  10. I would say... Get a demo Crossfire2 in the size you are jumping...and then see if you can get a samurai with the swoop lineset in the size you are jumping...and then see which one you like better... it is such a personal choice... That being said...I love love lvoe my crossfire2... Dave http://www.skyjunky.com CSpenceFLY - I can't believe the number of people willing to bet their life on someone else doing the right thing.
  11. dude sabre 2 is a great canopy to learn to swoop on, I should just make a word file on my computer that says this... I learned everything I know now about swooping on a sabre2 170...then I downsized not to an elliptical but to a sabre 2 150 and learned to tweak what I knew at that point to the smaller cnaopy...then I moved to elliptical....and heres the kicker...get some input from experienced canopy coaches at your dropzone, preferably those who are in positions of power such as instructors/S&TA's/ the pro swoopers at your dropzone...as to when you should downsize/go elliptical... and then you wont have to relearn how to walk..like I did when I rushed it when I had 200 jumps.... titanium sucks ass but maybe my lessons can make you a wise man learning from my mistakes... Cheers Dave http://www.skyjunky.com CSpenceFLY - I can't believe the number of people willing to bet their life on someone else doing the right thing.
  12. where is the check box for scantily clad red bull girls ? Dave http://www.skyjunky.com CSpenceFLY - I can't believe the number of people willing to bet their life on someone else doing the right thing.

  14. that would be why I am a fan of the 1 2 3 second stable pull mr bill I have done one out in Perris with my friend alan, and it went perfectly... he faced out I faced in, he wrapped arms around harness I gave the count and pulled him out... great jump which turned into a nice canopy ride from 11,000... man that was fun... remember the 3 second count... Cheers Dave http://www.skyjunky.com CSpenceFLY - I can't believe the number of people willing to bet their life on someone else doing the right thing.
  15. I love my Crossfire2, but remember I had 250 swoops or so on sabre 2s first and a lot of coaching from the locals... Cheers Dave http://www.skyjunky.com CSpenceFLY - I can't believe the number of people willing to bet their life on someone else doing the right thing.
  16. Hey man I just dont want to have to sell you one of my "got titannium?" shirts Cheers and blue skies Dave http://www.skyjunky.com CSpenceFLY - I can't believe the number of people willing to bet their life on someone else doing the right thing.
  17. I learned everything I know about swooping on a sabre 2 I would stick with it and seek some canopy coaching and get the instructors views on it Cheers Dave http://www.skyjunky.com CSpenceFLY - I can't believe the number of people willing to bet their life on someone else doing the right thing.
  18. well if you like your zipper to stay on and work buy a tony suit... http://www.skyjunky.com CSpenceFLY - I can't believe the number of people willing to bet their life on someone else doing the right thing.
  19. The only thing I will say is somethign that took the titanium to teach me...walk before you run man walk before you run... Also, that I learned most of what I know about swooping and landing on a sabre2 170 and then applied it to smaller canopies and then to ellipticals...and not the other way around. Cheers Dave http://www.skyjunky.com CSpenceFLY - I can't believe the number of people willing to bet their life on someone else doing the right thing.
  20. and then read it again I have read the swooping section like 5 times now and I just booked him for may for the advanced canopy courses at one of my home DZ's Cheers Dave http://www.skyjunky.com CSpenceFLY - I can't believe the number of people willing to bet their life on someone else doing the right thing.
  21. well I am sure a lot of my medical bills and arthritus could have been avoided by flying larger canopies..it never hurts to err on the larger size... my first rig was a J4 with a 179 safire 1 in it which I think actually measured to like a 160 which at the 210 out the door I was would put me at some rediculous wingloading for my lack of experience at the time... add that to stupid mistakes like plowing in the ground when slider cought my toggle and I "flared" so maybe a 210 would be a good idea (And it will fit in there) Cheers Dave http://www.skyjunky.com CSpenceFLY - I can't believe the number of people willing to bet their life on someone else doing the right thing.
  22. well if you want to get done from behind again jsut let anyone at your local dropzone know and I am sure they will oblige Dave http://www.skyjunky.com CSpenceFLY - I can't believe the number of people willing to bet their life on someone else doing the right thing.
  23. do ou pull the tail towards you as you pack? if you do you might be pulling the d lines a little and in addition a little unevenly try to keep the tail towards the pack job while rolling the tail and see if that make a difference. Dave http://www.skyjunky.com CSpenceFLY - I can't believe the number of people willing to bet their life on someone else doing the right thing.
  24. I drink ncoffee before I jump because it makes me fart which makes my plane ride much more fun... and it makes me swoop further too..its like rocket swoop hmmm and what about allthose cokehead jumpers...I wonder what they do at altitude... Jeez.... Dave http://www.skyjunky.com CSpenceFLY - I can't believe the number of people willing to bet their life on someone else doing the right thing.
  25. hmmm how to survive this, remember your gear checks silly... my gear checks on plane 1. handles and deployment ()includes giving myself the reach around) 2. chest strap 3. leg straps 4. sunglasses retainer if you get in the habit of doing this all the time, it takes like 10 seconds max...maybe someone shoudl tell this person to start doing that and why... Cheers Dave http://www.skyjunky.com CSpenceFLY - I can't believe the number of people willing to bet their life on someone else doing the right thing.
