yeah the first time I saw tool was in 93 and they were on the second stage of lollapalooza... I got guest listed by a now deceased rock stars drug counselor so it cost me nothing now tool tickets that you dont need bailout oxygen for are 75 bucks but if you stay up there for a while you may need supplemental... wow, I would think that Chuck would be partial to getting free stuff and would get that from anyone that gave it to him I am sure that if suddenly Daedalus gave chuck free JVX's he would take them and thank them for it...I am sure at that point he wouldnt go forth and remove Velocities from the choices on the website... so basically you guys are starting to act like the Alien Conspiracy People about the JVX getting knocked.... Relax we are all here to swoop and have fun...(and adding a canopy to the choices across the site would be a nightmare I know that for a fact) D http://www.skyjunky.com CSpenceFLY - I can't believe the number of people willing to bet their life on someone else doing the right thing.

well you see it goes somethign like this.... first we want to have sex with you all the time then you start playing the I am not in the mood bit which usually equates to about once a week in my experience...I'm too tired etc then we lose interest in trying cause we get shot down all the time and spend most of our free time hitting on other women just my 2 cents Dave http://www.skyjunky.com CSpenceFLY - I can't believe the number of people willing to bet their life on someone else doing the right thing.

right on man...see I remember being where you ar enow at about your jump numbers and I thought I was ready...and I flew my as all over the sky and almost killed a pregenant woman while I was trying to learn... the real reason I would say to spen more time on your feet flying is so that you really start playing with what little motions on all your wings will do to your motion once you get to the point where you can fly a dont with one foot and at the same time take another grip while in some fucked up body position but still being able to fly it.... then grasshopper you will be ready... and dont force it it will jsut come man there is the rest of your life to skydive... Cheers man Dave http://www.skyjunky.com CSpenceFLY - I can't believe the number of people willing to bet their life on someone else doing the right thing.

I love my crossfire... I can swoop the pond on it...carve like holy high hell on it(canopy sideways turning big by the ground)...do a shitload of distance on it and yet it opens soooooooo sweet if you like slower on heading openings that is...which I do as swifter openings will lead to a bad back.... Dave http://www.skyjunky.com CSpenceFLY - I can't believe the number of people willing to bet their life on someone else doing the right thing.

I certainly try to be that guy...and for the ones who listen they sometimes gain a lot but all I pass on is what people have passed on to me... those who were guys/gals for me: thanks again you totally know who your are...I wouldnt be half the skydiver I am if it wasnt for great coaches, mentors and people telling me what I did wrong and of course I cant forget my surgeons who i cursed out profusely when I came out of anesthesia Dave http://www.skyjunky.com CSpenceFLY - I can't believe the number of people willing to bet their life on someone else doing the right thing.

that would me moothos mister Dave http://www.skyjunky.com CSpenceFLY - I can't believe the number of people willing to bet their life on someone else doing the right thing. -
this worked for me... first when I thought I wanted to work on it, I waited 200 or so jumps although adding a bunch of HD exits then I went to Arizona and knocked out 70 jumps in a row a lot of solos, exiting back to propand just laying back into the prop wash and then turning 90 degrees to jump run... of course at first I was well above 200MPH and had to work on slowing it down... lastly let me just say that I really worked on flying on my feet before I worked on head down, I can really move around on my feet drive like a mofo back up like a mofo carve around formations drag reluctant baseses over to other participants etc... I would really reccomend getting on your feet and start playing around with that body position... fly on one leg fly your body diagonally... fly with one arm...fly with no arms... fly touching one foot... fly with one hand on your head... in other words really work on tweaking your head up stuff before you rush to become a head down flier... I once heard someone say this abotu freeflying... head up flying...easier to learn but harder to master... head down flying harder to learn easier to master... Cheers brother Dave (and for all I know you are the next olav so dont take this personally this is just my personal experience talking what works for me may work for you but doesnt have to) http://www.skyjunky.com CSpenceFLY - I can't believe the number of people willing to bet their life on someone else doing the right thing.

oh yeah and downt forget this one principals before personalities we are all here to skydive...work with the person on the safety aspects and then remember they are just as wet about skydiving as you are Dave http://www.skyjunky.com CSpenceFLY - I can't believe the number of people willing to bet their life on someone else doing the right thing.

Another great perspective from a great person... See my thing is to try to make everyone feel welcome no matter what has happened... if someone is that hot about skydiving and wants to try to fit in, why not take away the reasons for him to want to fit in... if you really are annoyed by the blustering action pull that person aside quietly and talk to them about maybe trying to tone it down that we all will like you regardless...and then ask them to go jump with you and work with them...I find it is the best way to make people feel more at home and work with them... Cheers Dave Suggestions? Buy your own Drop Zone so then you can decide who to run off just because they are not a perfect click fit. When watching Lord of the Rings I remember many times when I just wish they would kill Gollum and get it over with, I mean what a pathetic use of flesh and bones right? Then he is the one that ends up saving the world and it got me to think, to reflect on times when I may have shunned another who really did serve some purpose in the larger view other than my own. There is sometimes good that comes from diversity that may not be apparent to my sometimes narrow viewpoint. I once read somewhere not to miss out on the beauty of the forest just because of the ugliness of a few of its trees. Here is a great suggestion – be a person of understanding, of compassion. Offer this individual some of your time in friendship, be sincerely welcoming and you may discover that this person that is killing the grove of the DZ click is not so bad after all. Who knows, it might turn out to be a symbiotic relationship that both of you benefit from – wouldn’t that be a surprise. - http://www.skyjunky.com CSpenceFLY - I can't believe the number of people willing to bet their life on someone else doing the right thing.

every landing whether a swoop or not has a stage in it where you try to let the canopy fly until it doesnt want to anymore.... trying to get the canopy to just stop as you get to the ground will result in a basic stall which will make your landings hurt Dave http://www.skyjunky.com CSpenceFLY - I can't believe the number of people willing to bet their life on someone else doing the right thing.
