no I don't think anyone would fly it, but then again no one ever thought they could go sub 50 and they did. its only a matter of time. Marc

I thought at first it was a kite but then saw risers and toggles attached and heard rumors of icarus going sub 40... Marc

Hey spectre, what happens on the spectre when you pull on the rear risers during these long long snivels I hear about? would that help to avoid these long deployment with out banging ya? I would like to know considering I might buy one soon. Marc

Be carefull how you express your opinions around here, you might get stepped on. I agree with you that there are some that could look alot better or might even just want to get rid of the website all together. but if this is one of the few ways for them to get free advertising then the web is definatly the way to go especialy with the tight margins the DZO's have to play with....just my .02 Marc

I know for sure there was a skydiver vs. airplane incident in 1998 where the skydiver lived(with a broke femur) and the plane that he hit went spiraling down and killed 4 occupants of the plane. he had hit the rear control surfaces. the skydiver ended up filing suit against the FAA, because ATC vectored this guy in to an active DZ and he won.. So you can change your own posts... and Michele, remember the big picture, any skydive you walk away from was a great skydive(even if it didn't go as planned) Marc

I think there are quite a few post whores around.... Marc

I wish my Dad would go up with me...but oh well. glad you had fun Marc

It is the part of the skydive where you are accelerating up to terminal. basicly right as you exit the airplane you wont be at a flat angle you are more towards the relative wind and as you ride this out and flatten out it is like riding down a "hill" Marc

I've seen it. I dont know if it is the right thing to do but if that what floats your boat.... Marc

maybe too much to learn if you aren't good at learning. some people take longer than others to learn simple things. I breazed through AFF with no problems. I also understand that AFF is not for everyone as there are those slow learners. and it might take a while for them to get stability and the like under control. I do agree however that canopy control can not be adequatly taught with AFF unless you have excelent instructors that stress it every time you are up there and not just the first two or three jumps. nobody did anything wrong, It is all in how you personaly handle the situation. no one can say they would handle a said situation one way or another because they aren't there untill they actualy do it.... Marc
