I so wish I could talk about all my problems (wife problems) with you guys but I dont even know where to start. I kind of am in the same boat as this other guy in that my wife is jealous of the fact that I skydive and take away from her but well never mind I dont even want to start into this stuff. it just gets me so worked up and frustrated...sorry for the stupid post just trying to vent some anger, worry, emotion and it is tough to do when you really dont know who is looking on the other end.... you have got to be kidding. what a rip off. thank god at Sebastian I told them that I couldn't afford Skydive U after paying for AFF and gear rental, they said no big deal sent me up with two AFF instructors on Three diferent trips and they didn't even make me pay for there tickets. and I got some great RW three-ways out of it. do they just try to suck the money out of you over there or what. must be that left coast thing, huh? Marc A-38578

It is not that I am afraid of low altitude it is just I prefer to exit higher. if need be I will be out that door in a heart beat!!! Marc A-38578

Thank you guys, as usualy you are always there to answer questions. good to see you again this weekend mike, sorry I couldn't jump. Marc A-38578

these are not nececarily minor mals. they can twist up your risers and get ya spinning on smaller and heavier weighted chutes. and could twist your risers enough to make a cutaway very hard. no mal IMHO should be taken lightly. Marc A-38578

"well, hello, fear, how are you today? There is a weird separation in my head, with the voice of fear on one side, calling for me, and the reasonable and logical side calling for me on another. I make a deliberate choice to listen to the reason side, and try to shut out the other voices." Michele, they do make medication for this type of problem... and good job. Marc A-38578

Pyke, aaaahhhh, yep that pretty much sum's it up! I am glad you landed ok too, sis... Marc A-38578

yeah, how the hell do ya do it....I am no techno geek so I think I will need the "for dummies" version of instruction...thanks Marc A-38578

they are not all pressurized to 7'000 MSL. pressure inside depends on the altitude they are flying at due to the simple fact that you can only pump up a cylinder so much before it will POP. and if that happened then yeah, you would get a cypress fire. other wise the chance of it happening while in a commercial airliner is slim. I am not an instructor(or even close) but did see video of one of my instructors attempting to stop a spinning student and get whacked in the head. he wasn't wearing a helmet(stupid on his part) and was knocked three ways from silly. he regained consciousness as he fell through 2,000 ft. I was just wondering if this other instructor was weary of endangering himself. (although it is his job to protect that student) Marc A-38578

Lisa, I know how to swap out a main(with risers and without) but is it legal per the FAA. I thought a rigger was supposed to do that part(with out risers that is). any way thanks for the info. Marc A-38578

couldnt you get a PC in tow if you forgot to cock it? even on a pull out. you would have an open container but it'd take forever for it to deploy. Marc A-38578

I am a rescue diver(600dives) and skydiver(28dives). I am far more afraid underwater than I ever have been falling out of the sky. I personaly dont revil in the danger of skydiving but I do like the risk management aspect of it Marc A-38578

I have seen it go both ways on this. as michele can attest you can have it on your AFF jumps or you can be like one of my skydive U coached and be going on 5000 jumps with out a single cutaway(she had a total mal once). It also depends on whether you are packing or someone else is packing for you. Marc A-38578
