sure there are always trade offs. like anything smaller you go weaker you get to a point. not that it really makes a difference in 99% if skydives...as far as mini rings are concerned the smaller they are the less mechanical advantage you have making a possibly harder cutaway...and less gross weight they can carry...plus with mini risers you can tuck your slider behind your head...or at least it is easier to get it over the brakes... this place rocks when it comes to night life. I lived in Hamilton, auckland and Palmerston north. Auckland being the largest city with a couple million people and hamilton being the smallest with 150,000 or so and the night life ruled. cheap beer, cheap women(uh just kidding), and a ton of good fun (with and without your clothes on) as for the nature stuff, how about flying over the north harbour of auckland and watching dolphins everywhere, or snowboarding in the morning and surfing in the afternoon. post cards do not do this place justice. if it was just a bit cheaper to liver there I would still be there.... sure dan, your right. if you dont manage your risk correctly (ie. dont pull, overweight a reserve/harness/main) it is the unmanagable risk that is different. I have pulled hundreds of dead body's out of cars that did not have anything to do with the accident. tell them driving is sooo safe. Marc A-38578

PYKE, I lived there for over a year working on rescue medical chopper and it doesnt get nearly as cold as it did when I lived in chicago. but NZ does rock. I am going there I a couple of weeks to visit my old friends...and go watch some rugby. Marc A-38578
