non french guy here, I was there last year for my honeymoon. I cant complain. people were cool(helps if ya know french) and the city wasnt too dirty. I thought it was a cool city just didnt like the fact my wife was sick with the flu our whole honey moon and that it was the worst cold snap in july there in history.(like 40-50 degrees everyday) marc

the only problem with watching for the first guy is if he is doing a fast downwinder for a swoop. I followed a bunch super canopy flyers out the door. when it came time to land I had to check the flag about 10 times before I realized that 5 guys in front of me were all doing down wind speed passes. in the end you are in charge of your own canopy.

You aren't gonna feel much of a difference at those wing loadings. The closer you get to 1 to 1 the more fun you have and still are safe. Oh yeah, it is still gonna be pretty docile. marc

I like to think of skydiving as a sport with manageable risk. This is the same for driving. it all comes down to how much unmanagable risk are you willing to take. And speaking from experience of being a street medic for 7 1/2 years there is ALOT of unmanagable risk in driving whether it be cars, motorcycles, and bicycles.... blue ones, marc

When I got my instrument rating, we flew into some real IMC and my instructor freaked. And I just hung out and enjoyed it all!!!

I think I wear a XXL in the Oxygn I tryed on. I demoed one down there but it had the shield removed, so I couldnt get the full effect.

Mike, I live in Sanford but jump in Sebastian almost all the time. I went to DeLand twice now. Still dont know if I like the buzz out there. Nice place, just doesn't seem like home. then again dont know too many people there. should be down in sebastian this weekend. send me an E-mail and we can see if we can jump together...later, marc

We had some skydivers on a DZ hopping tour. They stopped on down. one of the group was going to do her 100th jump. she decided to go naked! that was cool. the problem was she had a mal and had her very first reserve ride, plus she had to plf it in to the dirt. a rather funny but scary naked skydive!!!

Sure I have many hours hanging off a wing, but in my Father in laws T-34, not in the twitchy little 300. but it is a ton of fun to fly!!

I have been thinking about getting one of these. But the problem is I keep getting conflicting reports about visor problems(flipping up in freefall), and have also heard the customer service sucks. So whats the deal? or should I get the Z1?

I just did a front riser swoop onto a cloud...pretty cool I must say. no way in heck I would do one down low. I have picked up way too many broken body's at the DZ from them.

2:6:1....I'm married so the first part doesn't count, got six great 2 way jumps in(I just got my A license and starting out slow) and did my first jump on my brand spanking new A license. all in all a good weekend!!!

lets see here 3 to 4 people, luggage, and your gear. Better take some fuel out of that 172 if your gonna go with 4 people. I am flying my father inlaws Extra up there. I'd offer ya a ride but my wife is going...see ya there.

Problem is if you spring out too hard you might lose your JM. That is not a good thing!!!

A bad day hanging out at the DZ is still better than the best day at work!! Trust me when I say you aren't alone when it comes to the weather stuff. Took me three months to get my A license. have fun!!!
