Just so you don't get a narrow-minded view of that website diverdiver, check out The U.S. Army War College's study of the Bush adminstration's war on terror. Never go to a DZ strip show.

You would prefer the Reverend Moon? Let me know if you need any assistance on that bus. law. I aced it a couple years back. No politics in that course really though. Never go to a DZ strip show.

I know it's not for such a newbie to give advice, but I think it's pretty safe to suggest you make sure and keep legstraps tight to avoid bruising. Blue skies. Never go to a DZ strip show.

Well, since you're all full of sources up there in the buckeye state, how bout posting some of them. And by the way, there actually are some very valid sources posted right on the internet, often full text articles in scholarly academic journals. Never go to a DZ strip show.

Now you're twisting my principles. It's not wrong to take out one, because you didn't take out the other. It's wrong to do so without significant reason and then to claim that the real reason is to "free" those poor people. That's a lie, if it were about freeing people we'd be in a lot more places than Iraq. But freeing Iraqis wasn't the reason we were given until we invaded the place and found out, uhoh, he didn't actually have WMD. Now it's about liberation, uhuh, right. And I was in favor of the Kosovo war because I wanted all their oil! Never go to a DZ strip show.

"Global conglomerates can at times have a progressive impact on culture, especially when they enter nations that had been tightly controlled by corrupt crony media systems (as in much of Latin America) or nations that had significant state censorship over media (as in parts of Asia). The global commercial-media system is radical in that it will respect no tradition or custom, on balance, if it stands in the way of profits. But ultimately it is politically conservative, because the media giants are significant beneficiaries of the current social structure around the world, and any upheaval in property or social relations--particularly to the extent that it reduces the power of business--is not in their interest." -- Robert W. McChesney, The New Global Media; It's a Small World of Big Conglomerates, The Nation Magazine, November 29, 1999 "We are here to serve advertisers. That is our raison d'etre." -- the C.E.O. of Westinghouse(CBS), Advertising Age, February 3, 97 Hell, I'm done with quoting, check out more about the ahem "liberal" bias of the media here Never go to a DZ strip show.

I think we all know that this wasn't the terror, or war thereon that anyone was referring to. Saddam Hussein is/was a bad guy, very mean to his own people. So are alot of other dictators whom we choose to either ignore or actively support. There's no slam on anyone there. Just the truth. Both democratic and republican admistrations have supported those dictators. It's wrong in either since. But to tell us we had to get him out of there to rid the Iraqi's of tyrrany, well that's just a bit hypocritical. Never go to a DZ strip show.

A Newsweek poll places it a statistical dead heat with a slight edge to that Dem if it were to be decorated war hero John Kerry. Look at your source and who funds it. Most of the media and polls are put out by the left. Ahh the old liberal media bias argument. OK, but when I consider where I heard about the poll... FOXnews. Even still, what good does it do the "liberal media" to put out a poll showing Kerry winning? Add complacency to liberals? Rile up the conservatives? I don't get it? Really, what good did that do them? What's their motive so to speak if it was just "because they're liberal"? No offense, but where'd you get the idea the media was so liberal? did you come up with it on your own? My bet is you heard it on tv or radio (Rush "lock up the druggies unless you're talking about me" Limbaugh maybe?). Never go to a DZ strip show.

From an ideological perspective, yes. Although I also believe that most people will only coalesce into a democracy if left to do so mainly of their own accord, not told to do so by an invading foreign power. We could have and should have helped, but invaded, no. But I don't think this was what you were referring to when you said you knew why we were there. Maybe it is, if so, it is a noble cause, but not the cause the President and his administration sold to the American public in the days leading to war. Even still, the commentary of the very same people about our actions in Kosovo when we stopped ongoing genocide brings into question their sudden "desire" to end tyrrany. If we really were after an end to tyrrany, maybe we'd stop the financial and military assistance we give to South American dictators. But hey, in reality with US policy, a dictator's ok, as long as he's our dictator of choice. And don't take my word for it, click here for information on some of the wonderful governments to whom we sell arms. Never go to a DZ strip show.

Good idea ...Dog, I'd even go for someone who would fully fund those programs... My primary vote and heart will be with Edwards. I think the ticket that will win will be Kerry/Edwards. Both are positive progressives, Kerry's a war hero (not a pussy though someone claims all liberals are) and Edwards brings the southern vote. GW will be lucky to claim any state that's not Texas. Know why they're there, know why they're there. Uhuh. Listen, I really don't mean to insult troops in any way. But, umm, why is that again exactly? Hmm, some seem to think 9/11 is the reason we're in Iraq. This "war on terror" thing, about as vague as the "war on drugs" and any other non-nation-state non-entity we've declared war on in the past 50 years. A War on terror is not a real war and will never really take place or really end. Even if it is the war on terror, Iraq hasn't been linked to fucking terror. For that matter the terrorists didn't like Saddam either. It's much more likely that Islamic extremists will come to rule in Iraq now that he's gone. But we figured he might give them WMD right... He cannot give what he doesn't have. So those reasons are gone, if those boys really think they are fighting terror in Iraq then they should seriously consider begging their commanders to give it up there and head straight for our lovely friends the Saudis. (15 of 19 hijackers = Saudi, 0/19 = Iraqi). God, I really must stop. Every reason the admistration gave for war with Iraq has been undone, why else would they be on to their bastard step-child of "liberating Iraq"? Never go to a DZ strip show.

EXACTLY!! I am also in the Army and I knwo exactly what I would be and all my friends that ARE over there now are fighting for. Posts liek this piss me off. It is sad that soldiers are being killed in action but we knew it is a possibility when we all took the oath to join the military. Why don't you find something better to complain about and just show some support for your country and our soldiers. It's this kind of logic that really kills me. I mean, by this line of thinking, anyone who questions the president is unpatriotic or treasonous. This is ludicrous, you're asking us to agree for agreement's sake, a very un-American thing to do. Do I think our soldiers were sent to Iraq under false pretenses? Definitely. To I think this is an unjust war? Yes. Do I support the troops? I pay my taxes. I also speak my voice with my vote. I'm trying to vote for people who would have never sent your friends over there or would bring them home sooner. How is that not support to want our boys to be safe and home with their loved ones? Geez, you had to go and leave Dole out didn't you! What a list. Dole and McCain, are these really the only war heroes those guys have? Never go to a DZ strip show.

Rest of the world was also willing to take the "huge" risk of waiting for further inspections. REst of world had signed on to process/organization called the UN. We can whine that Iraq violated UN resolutions, but we didn't exactly do anything to help the UN's legitimacy. Never go to a DZ strip show.

Whats sad is people having children they can't afford to educate and then whining that society should do it for them. Perhaps we should abolish all public schools and colleges. Everyone that got a degree from a public college or university could pay back the real cost as a surcharge on their taxes. That would be OK by me. Me too. Government run education in this country has been a miserable failure and the sooner we admit it and take steps to effect real change, the better. People should be "inspired" to do more with their lives. Not directed like a rat to cheese by government incentives. Failure, geez and here I was thinking that Cal and Michigan and some other states actually had very good universities. It must be that damn liberal media fooling me again. OK, sorry if I misinterpreted what you said. Of course you should teach your daughter everything you know. But to think that this alone will suffice for an education is wrong. I don't think we should pay our teachers more in order to assuage their troubles, but rather to attract more qualified and caring teachers to the occupation. Like, maybe some people would want to teach rather than be a lawyer if the pay was better. Who knows Never go to a DZ strip show.

Yeah like John Kerry or Wes Clark, awarded purple hearts, those damn liberal pussies! Get serious man, I'm not just talking about Bush here but the only man in the hawkish admistration who deserves our appreciation is colin powell, and he's the most pacifist of them all. Where were the rest of those guys during the wars of the 20th century? Rumsfeld, Cheney, Condi, I can guarantee you they weren't off fighting for your freedom. Never go to a DZ strip show.

Here's is a NOVEL idea..... PARENTS yes I'm a parent and daily I am disgusted with the LACK of interest parents have in their children. They mostly believe the government is here to raise them, feed them, educate them, employ them... NO WONDER things are such a mess.. I VOTE that we all TEACH our children everything we know, keep teachers wages the same and make their jobs HALF AS HARD as they have become maybe we should start a new thread on this, I know I could go on for ever about sugar, caffeine, HOURS of homework, bribery, double standards, etc, etc, etc btw mine is 9 This is a nice idea and all, but the truth of the matter is that in any case after elementary school, teachers are specialized. Just as you didn't major in everything, you aren't really qualified to teach your kid everything. Unless you know everything, in which case, more power to you. But until parents know everything or everyone can afford to go to private schools, the government's gonna have to do just a little educating for us. Never go to a DZ strip show.

Another thing to remember, you'll be on radio. Your instructor will give you advisement on what pattern to fly and when to flare. I know everyone has different experiences, but I stood up my first 3 landings practically on the x, followed with 2 PLFs and then back to a stand up. It can be done! Have fun! Quite right! He did not comply with the agreement that ended the war in '91. For many, including certain professors with disturbing green alien creature avatars, this is not a problem. He was "contained". No more concern needed than was shown for the little Austrian corporal when he defied the limitations of the Treaty of Versailles. Fortunately for the world, GWB was a lot more like Churchill than Chamberlain. The ability of Republicans to be selective simply amazes me. Kallend points out what we now know to be lies that were spoken by our President, and you guys try to gloss it over with "Clinton said it too"?? Then you say that violations of UN Resolutions gave us the right to use force. Ha, how many other countries regularly ignore the UN. I can guarantee you there are a few, we're one of them. But you select Iraq. Get over it, no weapons, they bluffed, they thought we were bluffing, they lost? 500+ American troops killed, was that worth it if there were no weapons? What did you guys think of Kosovo where no Americans died and we stopped ongoing genocide? Never go to a DZ strip show.

he didnt say,he said it were a reason to why many people hate americans Personally, I don't care whether we are liked in other countries or not. It's their own insecurities about themselves that cause it IMO. We are the "big kid" on the block and some people can't handle that. If we were so bad, we wouldn't have an immigration problem. Have you ever been to the States? I seem to remember that someone once said "speak softly, and carry a big stick". Basically, be the "big kid" on the block, don't be an ass about it.
