That sir, with the exception of procreation, is the best idea I've heard in a while. Never go to a DZ strip show.
-
It didn't, I just couldn't figure out any other reason for the person to accuse me of lying other than that he had issues with my political views. There's a link to that thread somewhere in this thread. Oh well. Never go to a DZ strip show.
-
Read the post before you respond. Read and re-read and still huh? Complicated as in it would screw up our entire system of life yes. But hey, a car's a car and I think we all know it. How do you know who the terrorists are? You don't, therefore you can't assure yourself that they're all gone until everybody's all gone. Never go to a DZ strip show.

So it isn't unbelievable.... No problem kitty, I know they recently got new student gear, I wasn't going to accuse you of lying. Actually I think one of the canopies I referred to as a 210 may have been a 209, though I'm not exactly sure, oops. Now if they try to put me on a 150 next time. No thanks, gimme the 170. I've been fortunate enough to have fairly consistent (meaning usually the same) JMs (thanks Stewart, you're great). Note to any other JMs I've had: you all were great too it's just that Stewie's been with me most of the time. Never go to a DZ strip show.

You disagree with what? That it's complicated to get rid of all the terrorists? OK, tell me, since you have the list of all the terrorists, where are they, who are they, I'll go kill em my damn self and this will all be over. Never go to a DZ strip show.
-
How about no more terrorists. Well that would be nice, but if you read the rest of my post you noticed that it's just a little more complicated. The fact is, we don't know who all the terrorists are or who the next will be. The only way to assure "no more terrorists" is just to kill everyone, including you and me. Or lock us all up, I'm sure the Bushies would be fine with this solution. Never go to a DZ strip show.

You madman! And I thought I was risky... I'm not sure, maybe I should be scared shitless of what I'm jumping. Seems to be that some think so, others not so much. I'm definitely sticking with what my JMs say, they haven't gotten me killed yet. Never go to a DZ strip show.

Of course we should try to prevent both, the question is how, and how worried about it should we be. There's a real easy way to stop auto-related deaths (No more cars!), but terrorism is a little more complicated. Prior to 9/11 the most successful terrorist to strike American soil was a white christian who had served in what? The US Army. So, who's gonna hit us next? How many freedoms are we willing to give up in order to feel "safe"? Never go to a DZ strip show.

Steve, I've said it before and I'll say it again. I appreciate your service to your country. However don't you find it odd that during that time when you were training tribal Iranians to fight the Iraqis that your government was selling the Iraqis weapons with which to destroy those Iranians? It's this kind of two-faced, meddling in everybody's affairs that really pisses the most of the world off. Give money to Iraq, give money to Iran, give money to afghanistan, pull it away if they piss us off or if we just don't need their help anymore. Never go to a DZ strip show.

Well, yes, and no. I understand why you say it, I've heard the bigger is better argument. But it's not like we're a talking about getting into high performance WLs here. I didn't ask to downsize, I didn't ask no to either. I trust the judgment of my JMs, they thought I was capable of handling the canopy. Well, I had a PLF on the 170 and one on the 190. I don't think they were anything to do with the size though. Fortunately I'm still here. I think I'll probably jump a 170 for a while now. Never go to a DZ strip show.

Yeah, I'm sure it gives you a sick to your stomach feeling having it all sit right there and not being able to toke Never go to a DZ strip show.

I just love it that the 6000 lbs of pot thread is now lit up... breath deeply all Never go to a DZ strip show.

oh did i fail to mention i switched to crossbraced?? NOTE: I WAS ONLY KIDDING ABOUT THE CROSSBRACE Never go to a DZ strip show.

I'm not going to name names, that would be unkind. But a certain person thinks that I'm lying when I say that I jumped a 210 for levels 1&2, a 190 for 3&4, and a 170 for 5&6. I'm a skinny guy, that gets me to a 1:1 loading now. The guy accuses me of trying to lie myself into a tight-nit community, says he's gonna call my DZ and ask. I welcome him to, give him the names of my JMs. He just calls me a liar some more. Never go to a DZ strip show.

Now I know some of my posts are controversial, that's the life a liberral leads... but someone recently accused me of being a liar, and not about politics, but skydiving. I'm newbie, so I don't really know, is it so uncommon to be unbelievable that someone would drop two sizes from their original canopy during AFF? I mean, I was from a .8095 WL to a 1:1... does that shock you folks? Never go to a DZ strip show.
-
Yeah, so I'm a skinny fuck who went from a 210 to a 170 in a matter of jumps. It's not like I'm claiming to have saved someone in freefall without a chut or jump a crossbraced canopy here. Geez. Never go to a DZ strip show.

That's it, you got it, hit the nail on the head so to speak. Why did so many Americans agree with the invasion of Iraq? Did they care about freedom? No, you didn't here them asking us to invade China after Tianamen. We are, as a nation afraid? The catch is, we shouldn't be. Yeah, they took a rather large swipe at us with 9/11. It hurts to this very day. But I see this commercial all the time from the Dpt. of Homeland (in)Security about how we should all be ready for a terrorist attack.... Umm, no, we shouldn't, because it will never happen to the vast, vast majority of us. I've lived in Israel, I know what it's like to face the threat of terrorism on a daily basis. I've composed a list of places that really don't have to worry about terrorism, any more than they should worry about getting hit by a car (WAR ON CARS!!!). States which do not need to worry about terrorism: Alaska, well maybe environmental terrorism Alabama Arkansas Mississippi Tennessee Oklahoma Idaho Iowa Montana Connecticut (though they are close to NY) Maine Vermont New Hampshire Texas The Dakotas West Virginia Other places, Any where in Nevada other than Las Vegas Upstate New York The Middle of Pennsylvania Maryland and Virginia with the exception of the DC area Alright, carpal tunnel is setting in. Here, I sit, in Cleveland, Tennessee with absolutely no fear of terrorism. Never go to a DZ strip show.

PK hit the nail on the head. Or maybe even if we dedicated more resources to treatment and other social programs. Drug use is never gonna stop (lets take away beer too, it's a drug!), we as a society need to learn to deal with it in some other way than declaring "war". The war stops around 22% of all foreign shipments. There are entire areas of Kentucky, Tennessee and West Virginia which exist on primarily marijuana based economies. The war only props up artificially high prices, adds incentive to do rotten things, and criminalizes users who are then afraid to seak treatment at the risk of being prosecuted. BWAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! Now that was the funniest part of this idiotic thread yet... FFF God, what's up with all you people getting so personal? It's like GWB's your personal savior or something. It's not like I go telling people to STFU and go practice whatever (I think 4/6 stand up landings is pretty decent condsidering I've been downsizing every 2 jumps!) when you talk about what a bad guy Clinton is... Never go to a DZ strip show.

ROTFLMAO!!!! YES IT WAS SO YUMMY. All us liberal fags just love that shit come here big boy! Never go to a DZ strip show.

My god I've seen it all. It's almost as if he's claiming to associate himself with me. There's no emoticon for bewildered. What am I to do. I have to say GM, I felt like hugging you when you said what you said about "assholes" Never go to a DZ strip show.

I mean geez, didn't you see the package on the guy when he wore that flight suit??? Never go to a DZ strip show.

What were you trying to demonstrate or claim with the post in question? - Jim I was trying to demonstrate that I didn't understand what GravityMaster was trying to say. The only claim I might have implied is that my preceding post wasn't disingenuous. It think I referred to that in the second paragraph; to quote myself Never go to a DZ strip show.

Can anyone answer me this, what was Bush's biggest foreign policy initiative prior to 9/11? Never go to a DZ strip show.

When did I claim that what I linked to was necessarily reflecting the official policy or position of the Department of the Army, the Department of Defense, or the U.S. Government? Nice try at what, saying that there are other opinions out there? Even that some of them are by military scholars? Hmmm... thanks though. It's sure better than "what an asshole".
