Exactly. The article really came off like someone who knows nothing about skydiving happened to read one issue of a magazine and do a book report on it, which is probably exactly what happened.

For instance: You kill it, and throw it in the garbage. On a high from the smell of blood you step outside in search of more prey. You happen to pass a man on the street and your beaming smile is infectious. He decides that perhaps today is not the day to kill himself after all. He goes into work in his lab that day and discovers the cure for cancer. He does a little celebration dance, knocks over a beaker, which breaks and slits the wrist of his lab assistant whom he is secretly in love with. He is so distraught the he kills himself anyway and the cure for cancer just sits there useless until the janitor throws it away a few months later.

The rat in this case is sort of like your asshole uncle. You'd really like to disembowel him sometimes, and you'd like to watch any other member of your family do it as well. But if some stranger came along and tried to fuck with him, you'd get pissed. "That's MY asshole uncle, bitch!" Makes sense to me.

I don't know if it will help your skills, but it will definitely help your body. I always stretch before jumping, running, or any other physical activity. I usually get up from my desk at some point in the day to stretch just because it feels good. It's good for you. Last weekend I forgot to stretch before the first jump of the day and my back was sore for two days afterward.
