what a freaking game. heartbreaking to see it end the way it did, but much credit to fresno state. the best game usc has seen all year, second only to notre dame. BUT, i'm actually pretty stoked about it because that just means we still get to knock off the defending champions in the rose bowl.

fresno state scores a td. reggie bush fumbles the kick off return, one play later fs scores another td to go ahead. ladies and gentlemen, we have a game.

my vote for heisman (if i had one) obviously goes to vince young, but i'd vote for leinart before bush. bush is a great athlete and has the capability to break big plays at any given moment, but just isn't quite the every down back i think you need to be to win the heisman. he'll get at least 100 yards a game, but 80 of those will be on 2 plays. I think a workhorse, 6-8 yards every down back deserves the awards, but that's just my opinion

don't bother. reggie bush just burned the entire defense for a 50 yard td. I'll be shocked if Fresno state has the guts to come back from that. then again, they've been shocking me all night

just thought of something.... PSU winning the big 10 means their first BCS bid ever. after a taste of that, no way joe pa doesn't come back for more

USC and UT would be so perfect in the Rose bowl for so many reason. 1.) They're the two best teams in the country, period. even if USC were to lose tonight (FS just scored again, now it's 34-28) 2.) That game would put all of the top heisman contenders on the field at the same time, that's just classic. 3.) Texas and California HATE each other anyway, making that game all the more emotionally charged

Hell no. He's gonna coach until he dies, probably. They'll have to bury him with his whistle around his neck. He's now 5 wins behind FSU coach Bobby Bowden. If PSU can have two more great seasons and contend for the Big 10 and national championship, while FSU stumbles again the next two years, Joe Pa will overtake Bobby in all-time wins. Of course you're right. He'll probably keel over on the field (and then they'll bury him there). Just thought i might throw that out there for discussion. You gotta give the guy credit for sticking with what he loves even through some bad years and criticism, and then bringing it right back to the top.

i figure USC will come back and win, that's why i tried to get the thread in while i still could. In fact, as i type this USC is about to score their second touchdown of the third quarter. Truth is, I want USC to keep winning until we play them in the Rose bowl. As a Texas fan, I want to see us beat the best to be the best. Trojans just scored another touchdown. And yeah, USC still has to play UCLA, but I really don't think UCLA is that good. Especially not after the whipping they took from Arizona.

I also scored almost exactly a 0, with maybe 1 or 2 on the female side. But that seems to be the norm in this thread. So, what does that say about the quiz? or possibly, what does that say about skydivers?

are you a fan of the comic? i lovethe strip, and was pretty excited when the show came out. the commercials were excellent. but i've seen the show a couple of times now and i'm a little disappointed. i'm still willing to give it some time because all new shows take a few episodes to settle in. Anyone have thoughts? edited to add: This is my first post from my new job. horray for da gubment!

Alabama will probably win, but I don't see it being as good of a game as everyone expects. Bama's offense has been struggling since Prothro went out (did anyone else cringe at that?), and Auburn's defense isn't as good since Gene Chizik went to Texas. But since it's probably the best game this weekend, I'll watch.
