My first one was at jump #29...went to Eloy Holiday Boogie. An experience that made it all worthwhile. Let people know where you are at...jump numbers and all. I have yet to meet anyone who wasn't willing to help me figure it all out. IF you are going to be Stupid - you better be tough!

*****bump***** This is a really good idea. And I think MORE people should think about this. I am a way lucky skydiver..I have a few friends I have made since moving to California. However, I think I am about to wear them out...so could use more jumping buddies. On my 100th jump, there was a young guy working on some solos..his #21. YOu could see him in the background of the video. He was so happy to watch my 100th leave the door. So I made sure and asked him after every jump how it was going. We talk all the time. As soon as he gets his A, I will gladly make jumps with him. We all started at square one~~~ Judy IF you are going to be Stupid - you better be tough!

Just my $0.02 I wear my prescription sunglasses with grippers....forgot the 'official name of these critters...but you wear them with your glasses at the lake or snow skiing...etc. I wear my glasses with a full face helmet. I see fine and can land well...it's not the glasses fault about those landings of mine!!! But RX goggles and goggles over my glasses cause more trouble..and create an unstable environment. It started with FJC...progressed to dinner with my kids..and then a round or two at Laser Quest with us and the kids. Men with energy are hide to find!! IF you are going to be Stupid - you better be tough!

OK,, for me...it was an internet blind date kind of thing~~ He taught first jump course,,, we are great friends and I found something more valuable than gold~~ IF you are going to be Stupid - you better be tough!

I had driven to the DZ that morning and had landed close to one of the roads I took to get to the DZ. I knew which way I thought the DZ was so I walked that road in the direction I thought I should. Then saw one of the planes overhead taking off and knew I was headed right. I am sure the pilot is the one who let them know where I was. I didn't have to walk for long. I did get a really great ground review when I got back..about which mountains were which...were the all male prison was, etc. Made all the difference. Even on my balloon jump, I knew which way to strive for and where I wanted to land. It's not that bad at all to land off...kind of adds to the adventure.

With 65 jumps to my name here are my landing OUTS to date: AFF Jump #3 pasture south of DZ AFF Jump#7 pasture with a few not so happy steers! Jump #29 Eloy, AZ..8-10miles north of DZ...landed safe but in the desert. I knew immediately I had NO idea where I was so I just found a safe spot and landed like I knew to do. since jumping at Perris and CAl City..I seem to always be able to make it back; even with long spots. IF you are going to be Stupid - you better be tough!

I learned..... ....must fly my slot despite the foolishness around me. ....knowing where my slot is when the 5 way is rotating and one is having to chase the spider -- is much harder to do than anyone could have told me. .....I have alot to learn. IF you are going to be Stupid - you better be tough!
