As being someone relatively new to this concept of FB's, tell me the difference in the women you mention above. I mean what defines one as fun vs stir stuff up? HOw do you meet your FB's? Do you tell them ahead of time that it's just sex? Are their rules to play by? Who knows the rules?? Do YOU ever get attached? HOw do you care about someone and stay distanced from them? I am just curious and thought your thread was good considering this is a new topic in my life.

Very true,,,but my job I don't smile half as much at...and with my job I don't get to play. Of course, since this weekend wasn't such a great landing.. I will have to wait a little while on getting to learn in the air as much as I wanted to. I am looking forward to learning all I can about skydiving and RW. I have recently learned a great advantage to being trained at a very small DZ....lots less people who see you mess up. But I wish I had the resources available as you do when wanting to learn something new. I believe I am learning as much as is possible....it's just me - thristy to know it all! thanks for your help! Reading Driving "fun" jumpers crazy thread -- I know I will really like doing this. Can I ask you guys how you start to learn all this stuff? Like a book? Video? I can ask at the DZ but some things I like to discover on my own at first. I trust those who are teaching me explicitly and without reserve. My purpose was to hear other thoughts... and I didn't want to know what others have done in the past. What's the current vibe of people here on how to learn RW and being really great at it? I am just finishing AFF but I do have 90 min tunnel time in Orlando. I contribute making every AFF jump rock because I had the tunnel after AFF1 -- plus a great instructor or two here in Oklahoma. I watched the Italians practice while I was in Florida. How awesome is that? To see them turn so perfectly and stop on a dime (so to speak) was inspiring. I like turning and am way comfortable with it. I know I have lots and lots to learn and practice but you know? It's where my heart already is! And I like learning.....and thinking so please share your wisdom with me~~~~~ THANKS!!!!!

After this weekend, of 3 jumps one landed in a pasture with a not so happy steer and the last one was a tree encounter, I am way glad I am already going to hear Brian in Iowa this summer. It all makes sense to me when I listen but when the wind 'comes sweeping down the plain' I don't seem to remember as much. ALEVE...naprosyn works great when taken twice a day with food...round the clock for a few days...need to build some levels of the drug up to do it's best. Other RX available from DR.... PM me I can get you a list if you need suggestions. SUSPENSION BOOTS...or lay flat on an inverted table. TAKE the pressure off and allow that which is causing the problem to rest. If you can't do that then lay flat on the floor, scoot your butt up to a chair that you can lay your legs in..so that you have a 90 degree angle from your hips to the chair and the another 90 degrees from your knees to your feet. MRI is also about the only way you will ever know for sure what is the cause~~ IF you are going to be Stupid - you better be tough!

I agree with TUNA (why so rational??) .... if you have questions.. here isn't the place for 'those' answers. If you have hurt yourself before like this, there are more questions a MD would want to know! If your headache gets really bad - like a 10 level..where 0 is no pain and 10 is the worst you have ever felt -- then you should get to the ER. Pain isn't always something you wait out and see what happens. Pain is the bodies way of telling you something isn't right! Why ignore it??? What's with THIS attitude? WE are women and we ARE different. It's OK for others to notice and for men to like what they see!!!!!!! You should read more threads...even here on the forums you will notice not everyone likes the same thing for the same reason. BUT your attitude degrades not just women but people as well. You take the spirit of who these women are and you try to mash it into the ground so that you will feel better. Did it work? I am new to the sport and have to say you are the FIRST person to disgust me who might be associated with jumping. "This reinforces the stereotype that women are here on the planet to be 'of service' to men and to define themselves in terms of men's wishes and wants." And as to the comment above... Who I am is not defined by a man unless I choose for that to be so. That holds true for all women everywhere. ANd certainly a water cooler won't change that premise. I have been told that the 'loner' personality is really prevalent in skydiving but sweetheart you take that to a whole new level. YOu could just hang a sign around your neck that says, "Don't talk to me unless I ask you to." "This is counter to the need to even do a Women's World Record in Skydiving or any sport for that matter." And for the statement above....DO NOT ASSUME that even on your best day you could possibly know what I might need.....in this sport or out of it. I will support this ANYWAY I can....not because I don't value who I am..or what I am made of...entirely the opposite.. I support it because I am a woman who isn't afraid to be a woman. My daughter thinks the beginning of the star spangled banner is "HOSEA can you see...." and although we told her it was "OH SAY can you see"... she still at the age of 15 thinks I am not telling her the truth. I am like LEE03 in that I figure if I was going to do this thing of jumping then AFF was the only way to go. Being that I am a redhead and a Scorpion, I explain it in terms that really matter. If you were a guy whuffo then I would tell you to remember that 'one' thing about every woman (or sheep for some) that was perfect for you for that moment. Jumping is like being with each one of those women BUT having them all at once with that one best thing from each of them happening in 50 seconds. The twinkle in their eye shines a bit brighter after that. Guy whuffos seem to understand faster than female whuffos do~~ IF you are going to be Stupid - you better be tough!

I have read most everyone's post and I am reminded how much more there is to do and see in the world. For me though, I want to never loose the quest to want more ... to see more ... to experience every opportunity to know I am alive! for the most part it is way true...but I think you should hang on because there is a list just as true on the othe side~~~ And my experience has been to be very careful what you ask for.....you just may get it!
