closing in on 480 Months in the sport.... with 3,238 jumps... so it averages out to about 75 a year....in a part of the country where winters knock the hell outta building BIG numbers sometimes have to go 5 months with NO jumps... (IF i don't travel someplace for a vacation..) The most i ever logged in One calendar month was 42 jumps...back in May of '75. least was zero jumps...I Did jumpmaster MAny a static line student in those days....But never was heavily into "being an Instructor " The first 10 years or so i think i made at least ONE jump every month, for 120 months....but i'd have to check my log books to be sure the monthly streak wasn't longer than that... jmy

one of my brothers came up with a very Good idea... many years ago,,,regarding prison sentencing... Create a machine that can medically AGE a person.... if a guy gets "20 years".... he then enters this machine they press a few buttons... the perp comes out.... and IS aged !!! that many years.... Go in aged 28... come out an hour later , aged 48....commit MORE crimes.... get YEARS added to your AGE..... no need to warehouse people.... no capital punishment.. No expensive Bills to house the repeat offenders....Once the general public learns that such a machine is REAL.......i bet there would be many fewer folks so likely to buck the justice system... do some serious crime... and get Multiple 20 or 30 year sentences...... Done deal...... you get aged to say 120..... and poof.. you're done.... no muss no fuss....

wow. since your poll is seeking opinions, i'll chime in i bet it WAS a rush....but would NOT ignore it. and i wouldn't wanna see ANY woman get hurt so i'd suggest that you find a few guys who could "beat the crap outta him"...!!! FOR you.... i would press for him to absorb the Co$t of the new reserve repack... ( AND any other lost or unretrieved gear from the chop...) and then be sure to have the repack DONE by his competitor... i would threaten to "have them arrested" ... but stop short of doing so on impulse.... Tuck that move, in your back pocket for future leverage... check on local statute of limitations... I think i would report 'em to USPA,,, but only after a fair assessment of his past behavior.... If he's done screwy things in the past,,or unsafe things that were laughed off, or not addressed , could this be the last straw??? Depending on his level of remorse, and willingness to make restitution,, i'd consider your last choice.. FAA. yes. absolutley. i still can see the exact corner in the house where the b&w TV was... i'd just turned 16 and was part of a construction Crew that was working 2 hours outta town. just finished 10th grade, and while my pals were livin' it up @ the local beach... yours truly, was miximg cement, and carrying lumber and driving nails! We'd stay @ the jobsite 4 or 5 days at a time, ( built a beautiful Stone & Cedar hunting Camp 2,000 sq.ft.+ ) and work 10 or 11 hour days... Anyway the boss... a smart guy, insisted that we delay a drive north, so that we COULD follow the News report on TV...I think it was a monday morning but not sure.... anyone know what day of the week ,, it was??? as to the later- on- suggested, 'it didn't happen'.... who the hell knows????? Our world HAS lost focus , between make-believe and reality,,,, between what's on TV and in the movies,,, ( think CGI ) and What's real and Now and "actual life"...... We never would have anticipated this,,, in 1969.. But, back Then, those guys were HEROES!!!...and in My mind,,,,, they still are...

same thing here... i'm in my late 50s and the agent said. "Yes We CAN write a policy which covers you." The telephone "interview" which followed seemed well thought out, asking similar questions. Years in the sport... jumps per year. etc . Though i don't remember anything about Gear... The premium amount was adjusted upwards, maybe 20 dollars a month....but they DID issue the policy... It supplements the whole life..(from other agents) which we have been carrying for years since THOSE benefit amounts have been beaten down by inflation....

maybe try running an electricians fishtape... through it... they are small yet flexible.. if the line has 90s in it,,, AND if you "pre bend " the end of the fishtape to make it easier to make those turns...... you might be able to Push through the blockage,, and then work the tape as neeeded,,,, to fully clear the line...... for Sure.. you need to have the A C working...... good luck. jmy

i agree that the cops made much more,,,,, of the "supposed" infraction than was necessary... taking the guy aside and EXPLAINING that there IS a statute about where one can or cannot safely cross a street ( as well as any statute requiring that one show identification) would have been a better approach... than getting all " Tough Guy " about it.. ( after all how much can the public respect cops who wear Short Pants!!!!) hahahaha still, they over-reacted.... AS Did the P I T A woman...... who needs a smack Upside the head.. for EVERY time she used the word.. ' Supervisor ' .....I lost count after about TEN!!!!!.. she simply escalated the situation.... as the jaywalker then began playing to the camera.......and SHE became a terrible distraction to the officers.....
