  1. Sony dcr-trv20 with .42 lens and either a Sony VX-1000 next to it.... or a Sony DCR- TRV7 next to it.. both on the top of a bonehead BatRak... 2 cam eye IIs.... I use a Sony DSC V1 with hand held, multi function remote..(includes an amber light to indicate the camera is on ) The camera ( 5 m. pixels) fits nicely on the forehead, below the vids... The TRV -20 and the V 1 are both set with quick release hardware... so I can hand hold them,,,for ground shots, boarding shots,,take off... even "in the plane shots"... Everything connects in less than a minute and i'm good to go...
  2. Excellent,, just what i was waiting for....
  3. I don't understand,,'the plane of our dreams'... whats so special about it???? if THAT plane is out there.... aren't there others?? It seems that you have found the real estate good...and a plane... good... but if dollars are tight for the plane, I hope you already have a ton of gear... Have you already covered yourself for student gear,,, freefall rigs,,, tandem rigs....??? How much of a deposit can you put on the plane??? How much are they asking???? have you ever bought or sold aircraft in the past???Can the current owner finance it for you.... of will they move on to the next "cash offer"...?? Lots to consider... But if you do finance a plane,,what the heck,,, jump right in there... and get a Cessna 208 Caravan.....
  4. Sony has made a 3 chip camera now for many years..... I have been jumping a VX-1000 for about 5 years.....It is a super camera but it is Big and it is heavy. .. (4 and half by 5 and a half by 13 !! Inches.. 3 pounds 6 ounces w/ battery...) The current "rebirth of this model is the VX-2000.. Like many 'pro' models they have a boom mike, on a built in handle.. 3 chip ccd,,,,The 1000 uses 1/3 size "charge coupled device" the 2000 has a flip out viewfinder.... NOW... about 4 or 5 years ago Sony came out with the 3 chip model DCR-TRV900... it was small. just a bit bigger than the "TR" series of the time...
  5. ..... no no no stay away from the Professionals!!!!!! I avoid the medical community when ever possible... I tear up my hands a lot,, and while cuts and skin tears hurt alot more on fingers and fingertips.... they also ( at least for me) tend to heal very well... I'd say keep the cut open though,,, and personally would not seal it shut with anything,,, even though super glue is fun to play with i sometimes glue my fingertips together,, just for the hell of it... But you should let that cut breathe and you may not want to seal in,,, anything that can start an infection Use that magic neosporin,,, and a bandaid,, during the day,,, but then open it up for a few hours at night,,, and if the band aid gets wet,,,, toss it... Dry the cut and then put on a new band-aid.. ( I carry a half a dozen in my wallet)....
  6. You are Not the only one who sees it that way... ............looks to me like two sexually frustrated chicks,, , who can't handle their liquor..
  7. ....NOW somebody has finally gotten it correct.. What we're talking about here is a Near LIFE... experience.. and the stuff that happens between exit and landing is simply the cherry on top of the Ice cream Sundae !!!
  8. Re: the out of control " purchase offerers".... Don't let these people negatively affect you... or your clients..... The other realtor ( your acquaintance,) was considerate to let you know about these "disgruntled people"..... Heck there are Tons of houses out there, let them go find another one... Either their offer was too little or it was too late.... Either way,,, in real estate,,, as in skydiving... "you snooze,, you lose"... Do a continuing good job for both your clients,,,but also,,,start lining up the NEXT property to work on... ... This Is JUST the Beginning!!!!!
  9. way to go... on accomplishing a "lifetime experience" while still in your teens.... For sure a tandem skydive can be a Physiological and Psychological Marathon, squeezed into a 20 or 30 minute Burst....
  10. .... It is clear that we see eye to eye... and you SIR have the benefit of first hand experience,, which I lack... ...For sure it's a tough situation..The sense of Duty.. may be strong in your Son.... and so... My gratitude to him and ALL others who choose this path in life.... May he and all others,, be protected from beyond this worldly chaos......by a greater Power... Most all parents shed tears over their children, at some point or another... May yours' only be tears of Pride............ jmy A3914 D12122.
  11. ..... yes Our Children Grow Up FAST.... Have you served in the armed forces??? I have not..... But I would be very very nervous if my son ( who also graduates H S this year, in fact ON Fathers' Day)... wanted to consider that route.... In this day and age of People in Power making the decisions which absolutely put our armed services members into harms way....I'd be concerned for his well being....There are many ways to continue "learning to be a man".... I thank those who volunteer to join and who enlist....but I worry for them,,,, and a certain sense of selfishness would prevent me from encouraging my son to do that....... I don't mean to stir up a tempest... but right now this world is in a bad place.... what will the next 10 years bring????? The loss of our healthiest and often most mature young men and women,, and the tragedy which THAT scenario heaps upon a family , is much to much for me to bear.... work for peace,,, peacefully........
  12. ...Didn't know it 'til I checked her profile,, but she has SEVEN N's in her name....!!!!!!!!!! hahahaha oh.. and ( this I knew ) she is a girl......
  13. ... I smiled sincerely, and always greeted my friends with a handshake or a hug, Or Both,,, I tried to be considerate to those who I could tell were new guests, new tandem students, or friends and family thereof.... I said hello to these folks,,, once in a while stepped up and explained what they may have been looking at.... i.e. aircraft. canopies. experienced jumpers, INexperienced jumpers , and either answered the questions that I could,, or directed them to instructors, or office staff who could answer their questions... .... Once in a while I liked to give people a digital photo print or two,,,....just for the smile that I received, in return.. .. I tried to provide a clean and sizable packing mat so that those of us who packed outdoors, in the shade of the trees,,, were able to keep our gear clean... and I left it there,,, If others still needed it... ... and i skydived..... safely..
  14. DeNiro or Pacino if it was an adventure or comedy.. Burt Lancaster or Gregory Peck ( May they rest in peace ) if it was a drama...
  15. ummmmmm.... okay, but last time i checked, he wasn't exactly a "girl." .... no he's not... and neither am i... but a 'great' dz can always be "better" when old skydiving buddies have the opportunity to reunite..... ....and new skydiving buddies have a chance to meet each other...and jump together... frontier = friendships..........
