  1. Oh no dude, it’s way lower than that.
  2. That’s quite a swerve. The fuck is this now?
  3. Seems like fairly surface level detail, tbh. If you have no idea what’s going on, you really don’t know that it’s going on, do you? Because let’s be honest, it’s really not true, is it?
  4. You know that cars have to have rear view mirrors for a reason, right? You’re a lot better off with them than without.
  5. It’s a very surprisingly different way of doing things. And when it’s in the context of such an obviously bullshit claim of being hammered by queer acceptance discussions in every single class then it’s worth questioning. Honestly, if Bigun is going to keep insisting he isn’t making that up, why would I trust anything else he’s saying?
  6. So what exactly does her advanced chemistry teacher spend the first fifteen minutes of every class saying to them?
  7. She's advanced/honours everything but she doesn't get taught physics yet? I don't get it. What is the cordial discussion and what is a starting discussion? I have no idea what that sentence means. Again, what exactly are you claiming these teachers are saying for the first 15 minutes of every class?
  8. Why? Regardless of whether that post engaged the topic, your topic has been engaged. But hey, let’s use your logic. Did the post contain any name calling against you? I don’t think it did, so that’s you proved wrong then, isn’t it?
  9. I don’t know anything about the climate change themed drag show on ice. Your post isn’t about the climate change themed drag show on ice. You haven’t mentioned anything about it other than that it exists. However, the thing you were actually talking about, NPR, has been discussed at length. Until you changed the subject because it wasn’t going the way you wanted.
  10. That’s not happening right now though, is it? You’re being engaged on the topic, the opinion is presented has been challenged because you can’t deal with that you’ve just changed the subject and played the victim card.
  11. A phoney what? I don’t think your moral worldview has much to do with Jesus.
  12. He said fifteen minutes every class. That’d be what, an hour to an hour and a half a day?
  13. That’s quite a lot for such an artificially small group, isn’t it? How many other conservatives of any stripe?
  14. Then NPR are not preaching to the choir, are they? Their listenership is you. Unless you think you are unique among the right in wanting your views to be challenged? If so that is hardly NPR’s fault.
  15. But it’s not though, is it? Lets try this - the kids sit down in maths class, what exactly happens for that first fifteen minutes? What exactly is said to them every time before they see any equations?
  16. Why do you think they did? Use actual examples of oversexualised Disney kids content. What’s creepy and arrogant about someone deliberately deciding to include gay characters just living their lives and not hurting anyone in a film? In other words - better reflecting real modern society? Why would anyone who isn’t homophobic have a problem with that?
  17. That’s literally not true though, is it?
  18. I just called the governor of Texas a snowflake. Does he post here? What’s his username? In general, in the real world ‘snowflake was popularised and by far most widely used by the right to use against the left as you very well know. Despite whatever logical contortions you wanted to use now or three years ago.
  19. Conservatives say that liberals are snowflakes while exhibiting the most snowflakey behaviour possible. Texas passing a sweeping bill cancelling books, lessons and teachers’ freedom of speech if there’s a tiny chance their kids’ feelings might get hurt being a prime example.
  20. You are the choir? When it comes to queer issues and climate change? You?
  21. Why are you saying I merely repeated what you said? You know that's not true and it's frankly bizarre to claim it is. I repeated the way you phrased something. So if you think I was being absolutist, why were you being absolutist? Great, as long as we agree that most christians who rant about Christianity aren't really concerned about it for biblical reasons then we're saying the same thing. This is where everyone else has been this whole time. What do you think these social messages are? What are the overly sexualised Disney messages that are any different from what they've always done? I'm genuinely curious. The search function is available. You jumped right into the middle of a discussion people were having with Ron and provided the biblical justification for what Ron was saying, so it seemed safe to assume that's what you wanted to talk about. And in this case, he's the perfect example of all the Christians that you've told us are out there who don't really care what the bible says unless it backs up their human biases and preconceptions.
  22. I used your exact language. You said ‘the many people do XYZ’ so I said ‘the many people do ZYX’. If you think that means I’m being absolutist then you’ll have to explain why you weren’t. Another factor in what? What does that have to do with anything we’ve been talking about? What are you saying - that when Christians claim to be taking their anti-gay stance from the bible they’re actually just mad at Disney? I don’t get it. Then what do you think he’s doing, because he’s clearly not simply following the bible. Again, going back to that biblical paragraph you posted, we know that Ron approves of Trump because he’s a greedy swindler, so it’s absurd to suggest he’s against homosexuality just because the same bible passage says so.
  23. These things just never go the way you want them to, huh?
