I'd be really interested to hear more about this criticism when one of her former high level aides appears at the RNC to talk about her being a clear and present danger to democracy. But as it stands, yeah. She really is bringing Republicans and Democrats together. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2024-election/former-trump-official-stephanie-grisham-speak-democratic-convention-rcna167296

And for someone so obsessed with projecting intelligence it’s remarkable that he seems to think we don’t notice.
-
He struggles more when black people get good jobs.
-
Why do you think she is as incompetent as a black hole?
-
No, you literally did do that. You often seem to forget that the things you say on this site remain written down to see. Now what about this non-socialist price control policy from non-socialist Kamala Harris that reminds you so much of socialist Cuba? Why is that?
-
But they are similar in a way that does not involve the socialism that those countries are known for, because Harris is not a socialist?
-
I think you denied a comparison of how countries with policies similar to Harris’s are doing because they weren’t really socialist.
-
Interesting thread this, someone mentions Harris and the red mist ensues, blinded by rage you are unable to cite a single example of a policy of hers that would damage the nation.
-
Neither is Kamala Harris. Man - you’re just on fire with the unforgivable gaffes today!
-
And apparently you can't even read a post. A bit rich to throw stones from that glass house, isn't it?
-
You said the same about Clinton, and just like now you never explained why. What policies? I bet you thought the same about Bill Clinton. I bet you thought the same about Obama. I bet you thought the same about Biden. It's one slow cooker you're working with.
-
And that's what you think a policy is, yeah? Is that more silly or less silly than saying cloud storage isn't a physical place?
-
Maybe that’s all he could do. After all according to the Supreme Court the company have to literally say ‘I am corruptly giving you this money so you will do this thing for me’ and the politician has to say ‘yes I will now corruptly do this thing I otherwise would not have done in exchange for this money’ or it’s not actually a bribe.

The GOP is ardently opposed to teaching the truth about race relations in schools. Racist gerrymandering and voter suppression of black people is their core election strategy. Their worst anti-abortion laws are deeply misogynistic. Just how little have you been paying attention?
-
It seems blindingly obvious that deliberately not sentencing him for political reasons when he's ready to be sentenced would, in fact, be election interference.
-
Of course they are. The start, middle and end of the R's platform is Trump.
-
I deliberately didn't say 'you'. I guess the lack of response to the question means you're resigned to at least another 4 years of the Republican party operating as a division of the Trump Organisation.
-
Right - so the Democrat party is so racist (after voting for Obama twice which proves they're definitely not racist) that it wouldn't choose Kamala but also so beholden to DEI that they couldn't not choose Kamala. Did any of that sound good in your head before you said it out loud?
-
So when Trump loses badly to this idiot failure who doesn't even have charisma on her side, will that be enough to snap your fellow travellers out of their deluded hero worship of the man, or will they still come crawling back to Mar a Lago to lick his boots? BTW, did you spell her name that way on purpose?
-
Fair enough if they were Irish.

Buckley was an ardent supporter of apartheid in South Africa and segregation in the US, so probably kinda relevant. As the civil rights movement progressed through the '60s he realised his error in opposing segregation (which gained him a lot of credit) but still didn't think the government should do anything about it. Many years later he realised he was wrong about that too. Funny how one of the requirements for being considered a titan of conservative thought is the ability to eventually realise the progressives were right all along. Kinda feels like cheating.
-
How upper class of you to be so insensitive to the plight of your countrymen.
-
The old line is that rugby is a sport for yobs played by gentlemen and football is a sport for gentlemen played by yobs. Just FYI on the violence thing though - your murder rate is approximately double ours. If we don't care about our plebs, you appear to be actively trying to do away with yours ; )
-
Particularly apt, since in the UK Buckley is best known for being trounced in a debate at Cambridge University in the '60s with James Baldwin where he argued for the view that there was never anything wrong with America's treatment of black people.

Your news is about 20 years out of date. A combination of criminal justice action and the FA heavily sanctioning clubs who failed to ban violent and racist fans has largely dismantled the old British football hooliganism scene. These days British fans are far more likely to be the victims of organised violence from clubs who still seem to value their groups of ‘ultras’. Notably in Italy and across Eastern Europe, but local gangs and incompetent policing heavily targeted Liverpool fans in last year’s Champions League final in Paris, for example.
