  1. Keep in mind that the OP thinks Trump will be great at foreign policy because he will 'keep everyone guessing' about what America's foreign policy is. Do you want to have an ideagasm?
  2. Did you not pursue counselling because of your heart? Yet you say your life would have been better if you had chosen a trade just to make more money. So you're advising people to do what you did even though it sounds like, if you had a do-over, you wouldn't do what you did? Do you want to have an ideagasm?
  3. Trimble died in August, and Crittenden wasn't even nominated until after not just the Presidential election had finished, but after the Electoral College had voted! Scalia died in february. The Primaries hadn't even kicked off by then. If Crittenden is the best precedent that you can find, then you must agree that the scale of the current obstructionism is absolutely unprecedented Which, frankly, is irrelevant anyway. Precedent in political behaviour has nothing to do with whether that behaviour is right. Andrew 'Tears' Jackson and his supporters in congress did a lot of things, many of which I would hope you definitely do not want to see done again... Do you want to have an ideagasm?
  4. SJWs are understood, Not by you though, obviously. The things you imagine they do are why they are subject to loathing? That's not exactly fair, is it? Do you want to have an ideagasm?
  5. I agree with the overall sentiment, though you do seem to be glossing over the point that a significant number of people at Gitmo never were doing any terrorist thing - which is pretty much the main reason for needing due process in the first place. Everyone misunderstands the SJWs Do you want to have an ideagasm?
  6. Sorry, couldn't parse that sentence, even after correcting the spelling. Ya. You can.... No Rush, it is honestly unintelligible. So you have a choice - do you restate your thought so you can try and have a real discussion with Bill, or do you leave it as it is so you can try and score points by claiming it's his fault he can't respond to your post? I wonder which way you'll go... Do you want to have an ideagasm?
  7. The V3 was never the biggest suit - the Mach 1 and its successors had been out for years already. It was never the craziest either. It was way more stable than any of the previous V-series or Skyflyer suits, and probably more so than any that have come after it as well. In terms of precision handling it just might be the nicest, easiest suit I've ever flown, to this day. But it's still a big suit to exit with, a lot of area to handle if you get into trouble, and also one of the last suits where the arm-wing fully depressurizes and flaps all over the BOC at pull time, so yeah it's really not a great FFC contender Do you want to have an ideagasm?
  8. And also "it's about a little deprecating humor which America lost for a long time", which is the same tactic that several SC posters use from time to time. Post a terrible, mean spirited 'joke' which happens to perfectly align with their normal political views and denigrate the same people they spend most of their time bitching about anyway - then when called on it go 'oh hey, what's wrong with you guys, I'm just trying to lighten the mood!' If people really want to lighten the mood and demonstrate a real sense of humour then they need to try some self-deprecation instead. Do you want to have an ideagasm?
  9. And just how the fuck do you know that the two people talking a different language to each other in that store hadn't adapted and become american? Do you want to have an ideagasm?
  10. So when he's standing up there at the podium, on his victory tour, flat out telling you that he didn't mean the stuff he said during the campaign, and he's not going to do the stuff he promised during the campaign, you'd still rather believe that he's going to follow through on his campaign promises? You are some kind of special, my friend! Do you want to have an ideagasm?
  11. One day? Pretty much any day. He doesn't read the contracts he signs. He doesn't understand the contracts he sgns. He's on record, under oath saying as much. Do you want to have an ideagasm?
  12. So you gave him a whole month? I guess the classic 100 days would have been just a bit too magnanimous, yeah? And you still haven't answered why you think a politician on the stump is more honest than a politician who knows the votes have already been counted? Do you want to have an ideagasm?
  13. Funny how that works, isn't it? The conservatives making fun of liberals for not accepting the results - but from what I can see all the liberals know they've lost, so it doesn't really make sense. On the other hand, the conservatives don't yet realise that they've lost too. They still think Trump is one of them! In truth, the label of RINO has never been more applicable than to him and his cabal. The one silver lining from whatever chaos is created over the next few years will be watching that dawning realisation spreading through his supporters and defenders. Do you want to have an ideagasm?
  14. You just said you've been bashing him for 8 years. So what did Obama do before taking office that was worth bashing, if Trump blatantly stating that he was lying all the way through his campaign doesn't deserve a bash? Do you want to have an ideagasm?
  15. Since he is not yet president I guess we will need to wait a little. Just like we had to with Obama. If he does not do what he says I will bash him just like I did Obama for 8 years and Bush for the last 2. Why do you need to wait? He and his team have already said they're not going to do this stuff. Who do you think I was quoting up there? Or maybe you think politicians are more likely to tell the truth on the campaign trail and more likely to lie after the election. Which would be a.... unique point of view! (And you realise you just admitted that you started bashing Obama straight away without giving him a chance, even though you just said we should all give Trump a chance?) Do you want to have an ideagasm?
  16. Then i guess it's not just your maths but your assumptions that are tragically out of whack. Do you want to have an ideagasm?
  17. Then I bet you're pissed off that Trump's campaign platform bears no relation to his plans for government. Build the wall? Trump "may not spend very much time trying to get Mexico to pay for it, but it was a great campaign device." Lock her up? "That plays well before the election, now we don't care." Drain the swamp? "I never liked that, didn't want to say it. It's so hokey. Then I said it and people went nuts. So I started saying it like I meant it." Do you want to have an ideagasm?
  18. Is that what the word funny usually means to you? You'd better learn how to use the english language properly, otherwise there are some people who might want to kick you out of the country! People like, well, you Do you want to have an ideagasm?
  19. Being a racist bigotted fuckwit is what's wrong with that. They weren't expecting the bitch queen to assimilate to them. They weren't engaging her at all. You and she might be such delicate little flowers that your tender ears can't deal with overhearing foreign words spoken between two strangers who just happen to be near you - but unfortunately you have no right to an english only safespace around you when you step outdoors. You're just going to have to button up your big boy pants and deal with it. Do you want to have an ideagasm?
  20. That's just about the worst bit of mathematics I've seen since ever Do you want to have an ideagasm?
  21. You're funny. Clinton won California without trying. Of course she knew it didn't matter how much she won by, and that the popular vote didn't matter. That's why she didn't campaign in California anymore than Trump did except to raise money. (Which is also one of the reasons why the EC defenders who are hung up on geographical power are so wrong. Neither candidate giving a fuck about the most highly populated state in the union? Yeah, great result!) Clinton winning California by a boatload doesn't mean Clinton was focussing any effort on winning California by a boatload. If you're not smart enough to understand that you may not be qualified to use the internet. Do you want to have an ideagasm?
  22. It puts it on the entire election. EC college votes matter, so the end result is the same. It's just that one way is easier than the other. Your way, if a smaller state is corrupt, far fewer citizen's votes need to be manipulated to have a far greater effect swing on the final EC tally. A lesser, more easily concealable level of fraud will have a massively amplified outcome. In this election for instance, the entire result could have been swung with a few tens of thousands of fraudulent votes. With a popular vote system it would have needed millions. Do you want to have an ideagasm?
  23. Why would you remove CA and NY? Why not remove TX and LA? Or TN and SC? Or OH and OK? Hell, remove any other 2 states you want and in every situation Clinton wins the popular vote in the rest of the country. But why would you? The citizens of every state are all equally American. Do you want to have an ideagasm?
  24. Right, your hypothetical example is why it is (because it works in hypothetical-land) but your real life example is why it shouldn't be (because it doesn't work in the real world). According to you, the Electoral College is responsible for the few thousand inhabitants of Dubuque having a fucking amazingly awesome and well funded school system, and for millions of inner city inhabitants being forced to live with an inadequate, underfunded mess that struggles to provide even the basic fundamentals of education to their children. And apparently that's totally fine, but if it was the other way around it would be a catastrophe. Huh. Why it was then is irrelevant. What happens now is relevant. Do you want to have an ideagasm?
  25. By 'the usual crowd' do you mean the people arguing against the Electoral College? By 'the system' do you mean the Electoral College? If so, then I'm not sure why you're suggesting that the usual crowd philosophically believes in the system. I think it's pretty clear that the whole point of the usual crowd's argument is that they don't philosophically believe in the system. Do you want to have an ideagasm?
