I don't. Explain it. Do you want to have an ideagasm?

Ohh, put those claws away little miss kitty kat, anyone would think I struck a nerve! You know what the saddest thing about your current posting habits are? You're coming up with excuses for why you don't need to think about anything. Text: "Obama and Trump are just the same!" Subtext: "So we don't have to bother analysing anything they do, we already know there's no difference. They're politicians, therefore they equally suck!" It's just so goddamn lazy. You can do so much better Do you want to have an ideagasm?

OMG, so when you describe people in a sufficiently vague manner they all start to sound alike? Heck, apart from the ones that only make sense with someone in office, all of those points apply to you too! So everyone is equally a bastard, everyone is equally awesome, and we're all exactly the same as each other! You've given me a whole new worldview
-
Holy shit you've actually got the nerve to complain about people twisting what you've said? That's amazing Do you want to have an ideagasm?

Which is a complete coincidence. Cheap coal has run out, and the next cheapest thing happens to be cleaner than coal was. Oh hey everyone, regulation is useless because just this once we would have eventually stumbled onto a better alternative anyway. Doesn't everyone feel stupid for forcing coal plants to run filters on their smokestacks for all those years when we'd have stopped burning it by now anyway? What harm could another 50 years of unfettered powerplant exhaust have done anyway? Do you want to have an ideagasm?
-
You can't put the word 'cleaner' in there and say that's what markets do. They don't. The only thing the markets do is what's cheaper. If it happens to be cleaner or safer as well, then great, but that's not what is being selected for and it is very rarely what will result. Most often, the cheaper option is the one that is dirtier and more dangerous. Do you want to have an ideagasm?

Ohmigod ohmigod ohmigod - you've read a foreign novel?!? In a foreign language!?! That is just so cool! Can I have your autograph Do you want to have an ideagasm?

What makes you think I don't know any of that? Looks like you're wrong about the way in which you're wrong, which is quite an achievement! Do you want to have an ideagasm?

How very knowledgeable you are. When I'm not working on one of my own projects, Helion and Osprey hire me as a freelance copy editor. And yet you're still incapable of learning simple post formatting? It's obvious by how worked up you are that you're putting a lot of time and effort into responding to people here, it's a shame that you're undermining all that work by being so lazy in your presentation. We? People who post on internet forums? No, can't really say I am aware of that to be honest. Do you want to have an ideagasm?

Well that's quite literally not what you said, is it? You didn't say they'd look at it at all, you said they'd automatically remove it, billions of dollars worth at a time. You said they'd stop regulating and cut the budgets of the reguatory agencies. Now, if you judge regulation on the cost to business rather than the effect on damaging and poisonous pollution and waste, you're going to have undesirable consequences. If you slash the budgets of regulatory agencies they won't just have to stop enforcing what you view as bad 'burdensome' regulation, they'll also be unable to enforce what you might view as good 'don't make rivers flammable' regulation. If you think you can take a slash and burn approach to the EPA, OSHA and other regulators and industry wont take advantage in starting to use cheaper but unsafe practices then you're tragically naive. No-one said it would. That kind of strawman rhetoric is just one of the reasons everyone laughs at you "This is why my colleague James Hansen has characterized approval of the pipeline as tantamount to "game over for the climate"" Michael Mann, Climate Scientist. Yeah, as I was saying... First, what does 'game over for the climate' have to do with rivers igniting? Second, if you're going to make a post marked as a reply to gowlerk that was actually a reply to comments by Mann and Hansen that have not been quoted or even alluded to in this thread then things are going to get very confusing. Do you want to have an ideagasm?

No-one said it would. That kind of strawman rhetoric is just one of the reasons everyone laughs at you. Because they describe events that happened? The sky has never fallen, but without EPA oversight american companies have and still do pollute so badly that, among other things, drinking water is poisoned and rivers catch fire. It's a fact. So now you're saying bestseller status doesn't directly relate to readibility or quality of writing? What does that do to your comeback against Normiss? Do you want to have an ideagasm?

Katie Price (Jordan) has had 5 bestselling novels, averaging hundreds of thousands of copies sold per title. So how much better is she at writing books than you are? Do you want to have an ideagasm?

You think that because you were wrong no-one should reply to point out that you were wrong? That's bizarre. It's also quite hypocritical. In your introduction to this thread you not only answered a post of Don's that you thought was a non-sequitur, you also spent time on Google figuring out a big enough insult to throw back at him. If you're taking this so seriously you went back to do a word count how come you're incapable of figuring out how to format your posts properly? Helpless without your editors? Do you want to have an ideagasm?

All of who, the women? Your writing is unclear. Hahaha nope. Do you want to have an ideagasm?
-
No, cwood was right, you simply didn't properly read or understand what Joe said, therefore your entire response is a non-sequitur. Congratulations on making it contain lots of words though - we're all very impressed

You don't comprehend the link between industry regulation and drinking water? Yikes! Do you want to have an ideagasm?

The wit! The intellect! The literary skills! Who can fail to be impressed? He should pen a book. Ten books! I'll introduce him to my agent in New York. If he doesn't want to pay an agent's fee, I'll give him the private email addresses of a few editors. They'll be clawing each others' eyes out over him. Studios will be begging to buy film options. A new literary giant emerges. (Cue sound of trumpets.) You appear to think that since your own sense of self worth is tied to the size of your book deal, that everyone else's should be as well. This might come as a shock, but not everyone wants to be like you, and not many people want to be published authors. And certainly, the fact that Normiss has figured out he can make you dance like a puppet on a string at the mere mention of the quality of your writing doesn't mean he wants or should get a publishing deal - it just means he's demonstrated how easy it is to get a rise out of you. Well, he didn't explicitly say that he knew something about the hacking, he just said he knew something He might have been talking about the hacking, but the way his ADD brain hops from subject to subject he might have been talking about what he had for lunch. Do you want to have an ideagasm?

There was no evidence he was lying. You mean apart from him saying something that wasn't true? Your church was under no threat of legal sanctions if they didn't provide transgender restrooms: Fact. Do you want to have an ideagasm?

Wendy, it's not even that. Only businesses with more than 15 employees need to provide Male and Female bathrooms. There is no requirement at all to provide specific transgender restrooms. Do you want to have an ideagasm?

It was never a looming problem, because it's total bollocks. According to our pastor, it was a financial problem. So according to your pastor what were these legal retributions you were facing? Who was going to inflict them upon you? What legislation was it a result of? He did not go into those details. He announced it at the start of his sermon stating it was a potential problem that no longer existed. His implication was that the Church of God had insider information with reference to the Trump administration. So he's lying for Jesus, and you're eating it up and asking for more! Do you want to have an ideagasm?

Yes, Hoop's whining about intolerance and attacks is quite hilarious given that the only reason he is here is to personally attack any liberal who pops up in this thread. While simultaneously bragging about his book reviews. In fact, it's amazing just how readily he's taken the bait on that subject. Normiss has got him hook, line and sinker. He'll need the NHS to deal with the aneurism he's going to get if he doesn't calm down and let it slide Do you want to have an ideagasm?
