    I wish that they posted the article online, but it's some pics from my 100th skydive (basically how to funnel an exit from a King Air) and a few others and a nice story about tying it in with optometry. I mention blind skydiving to my low vision patients who are struggling with the psych issues of vision loss. If you PM me your mailing address, I'll try to get an extra copy of it to send to you.     Bacon, my guinea pig died this evening He joins his brother Pork Chop in the circle of death around our willow tree where decomposing pets live on as plant food. Fat Ass and Stu the rabbits are there too. I can't believe I'm this bummed out over a rodent. But he was such a cute little thing, all cowlicky.     Why apologize? You know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, art is different for everyone. Anyone who gets a tattoo does it knowing that there will be a large number of people that don't like either that one specificially or tats in general. Just like anyone who jumps out of an airplane knows they'll get called nuts for it. Don't apologize for who you are, what you like, or the kind of art you appreciate.     Of course farts are funny. About 2 months after my husband and I met, I wrote him a poem dedicated to them.... It's in calligraphy and beautifully framed on his dresser still...     You have it backwards... bugs are actually a subset of insect, not the other way around. One of my college profs was an avid entymologist, it was one of his pet peeves... the way people refer to everything as bugs whether they are or not. True bugs are the insect order hemiptera.     I agree with the Refresh suggestions... but ONLY if you are only going to use them a max of 3 times a day. If you are going to use them more than that, the preservative that is in the bottle can irritate your eyes, cause a low grade allergy, and your eyes will dry out more than they were to begin with. If you're using them 4+ times a day, get the preservative free version of refresh, and it will avoid the whole problem. Best option is treat the dry eye... take omega 3 supplements (1000mg 2-3 x day), and use hot compresses/lid scrubs 2x/day (put hot washcloth over your eyes for about 2 minutes... I usually recommend while brushing teeth, so you can multitask... then close eyes, and clean along your eyelashes with baby shampoo and the hot washcloth). Both the Omega 3 and lid scrubs increase the lipid component of your tear film, which keeps tears from evaporating so quickly. It's simple and for a lot of people, works well.     You can get furry fabric at any fabric store, Walmart, etc. Or you can look at some of the fun 'decorator' type pillows that are furry and pull one apart to use as a pelt. One guy took the head of a children's halloween costume and made a Tigger Pelt out of it, complete with ears and snout. Just sand the protec, cut the fabric, smear craft glue on the helmet, adhere fabric, let sit over night, and you have a pelt

    All of the shelters around here usually include spay/neuter in the adoption fee as well. Many of the adults are already spayed, and those are the ones most desperate for homes anyway. Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda

    We have 3 cats... 2 females and a male. The girls belonged to my husband, the male to me, so when we introduced them there was a bit of hissing going on. It lasted a couple of days, then everyone was happy again. Definitely one litter box per cat. Mine share food and water bowls. Actually we have 2 water bowls in the house and 3 cats and 3 dogs all share it without a problem. If you have a question regarding how your cat will get along with a new one, call the humane league and see if you can introduce your kitty to the one you've picked to adopt to get a feel for the relationship.     I'm young, healthy, have no real reason to get the flu shot. My husband catches every bug that goes around, I can't remember the last time I've been sick with anything. At least for me, I have basically nothing to gain to get it, and every med/vaccination has some degree of risk, so it's not worth it for me. Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda

    As an eye doc, I can assure you that it would not be the first time your doc has seen a stoned patient and will not be the last I have even had a couple of patients ask me how smoking pot affects contact lens wear. Several others ask about the effect on glaucoma. But I did vote on your poll that 'eye doctors are weird'. It's true. Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda

Considering how many people get all fired up on here and write nasty notes to newspaper journalists and their less than positive portrayal of skydiving, I fired off a quick note to the paper regarding this one and how well done it was.     I am a dog owner and have 3 large dogs. I would consider it insulting to the person I'm visiting to bring the dogs with me. When I have guests, our dogs are kept in the basement, just so everyone is completely comfortable. Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda

    I love my husband with all my heart and trust him completely. I also know him well, and given that at least the female version of the pill needs to be taken on time every day to be most reliable, assuming that the guy pill would be similar in nature, there's no way that he would remember 100% of the time.
