Jump with wind! Equipment for Large Breast!
peregrinerose replied to computerdoc's topic in Safety and Training
First, to jump or not needs to be her choice because she wants to do it for her, not because she knows you want her to do it. Don't ever try to convince her to jump. It's her choice. (My husband jumped for 2 years before I started. He never asked me to give it a whirl.. it was my choice alone) As one with big knockers, I strongly recommend a sports bra for jumping. It helps keep the boobies contained a bit better and out of the way. She needs to talk with the instructors about the gear she is using now and getting adjusted for her body type. It wasn't THAT cold this weekend. And do you really think I don't notice when there are guys wandering around in their under armor shirts at the DZ?? Oh, I can't find those gloves of yours online or at Sports Authority... do you happen to know where else I could get a pair? Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda -

Considering how much fun those pelts are to jump, I doubt that future pelt way record attemps will be a problem just about any weekend I think the current record is a 6 pt 3 way. Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda -

That's the FIRST time I used the phone under canopy (Yes, I'll pick up beer on the way to the DZ tomorrow), and only because I wasn't sure if there was someone going in under the mass of fabric Kyle was following. The potential for someone needing medical care and making sure the DZ knew about it outweighed the risk of dropping my phone on a groundhog or something. Fortunately I was wrong about Ryan being under a canopy clearly having issues. I like being wrong when it comes to that! Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda -
That's just birthdays catching up with you I'm guessing you're just a tiny hair nearsighted (or astigmatism) and the glasses weren't bifocals? Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda

I was the same way, and found them to be a hassle, way too much of one to be worth it. Once I started wearing them for awhile, I found I needed them more and more. So I quit, and went back to being slightly astigmatic and slightly farsighted. No problems, I pass all the eye tests, and don't have to keep up with anything. It isn't that you needed the glasses more... it's that you noticed what you were missing more.

Do you have a copy of your Rx to post here? I usually tell my patients what the glasses will help them with (ie night driving, computer, etc.). Basically, play with them for different things, wear them for when they work for you. If you wear the glasses all day, every day, for a few days, your brain tends to forget about having them there. When they are on/off all the time, it's harder to get used to. Plastic frames tend to be less comfortable than the lighter weight metal frames. Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda

Chicks over Cburg is just some all girl formation skydives. Not raising money for anything, just purely for fun. It's for anyone with boobs. Unless they are man-boobs, of course Whenever you decide to come to Cburg you'd be welcome no matter what Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda -

Yep, DZ on speed dial. No gloves that jump. During jump, the phone is wedged firmly between my boobies which are snugly contained in a sports bra. Once under canopy, phone wedges quite nicely under helmet for hands free operation (other than speed dialing the DZ). Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda -

I have no doubt that my repacks will open beautifully. I just don't really want have to experience it Greg told me once that he packs every reserve like it will be used, but hopes that none of them ever are. Sounds like a good philosophy to me. Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda -

I can confess to being jumper D, is that okay jumper A? Jumper C and I played with bumping end cells and flying parallel. Our wing loadings are very similar. Jumpers A and B were quite a bit below us very quickly (Jumper B was at a 1.4/1 WL under a 150 Spectre). About 9K, we separated to play solo and enjoy the view. We were also slightly off the wind line with about 3 miles to go to the DZ, so didn't want to be forced to land off. Jumper C had no idea that jumpers A and B had a problem. As jumpers C and I turned to put some distance between us I saw jumper A under a reserve and following a large and messy looking hunk of fabric. At that time, I was about 9K, he was at least 1000 ft below me, and quite a bit of horizontal distance as well. I could not see jumper B, so my phone call from under canopy was back to the DZ... partly to make them aware that there was an issue, just in case it wasn't noticed, and partly because I was afraid that jumper B was under that wad of shit jumper A was following. (Fortunately, jumper B had already landed, I just didn't see it). Jumper C didn't follow gear as he was oblivious to the situation completely. I didn't as I had not seen the chop and even if I had, was too far away at the time to be able to spot and follow free bags. Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda -

I agree with Chad... 'No shit there I was' definitely would have been a better title. And although you allude to innocent bystander Jumper D owing beer, it seems to be that Jumpers A and B owe infinitely more beer than she does. Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda -
Do you happen to know what your distance prescription is? Just curious on that one. If you want to see well at distance post-op, it will eliminate your reading vision.... just like putting glasses on eliminates your reading vision through the glasses. That's where the readers come in. You could have one eye surgically set for distance and one for near. Eliminates glasses in most situations, but screws up depth perception. I don't let anyone even consider this surgically until they have tried it in real life with contact lenses first to ensure that they can adapt to the disparity in vision. Honestly, I'd seriously think about contact lenses... you would get everything you want from bifocal contact lenses. Now don't get all spastic about the 'B' word there It doesn't work like bifocal glasses. With bifocal contacts, the center part of the lens is where the reading script is. Since your pupils constrict when you look up close, your eye is automatically in the reading part of the lens. When you look far away, your pupil is bigger, so that puts you in the distance part of the lens. There is no adaptation time to this. Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda
