    yeah i've been at Eloy since like.. saturday, but havent really met anybody except Alana. I cant recognize anybody. Sucks. oh wait, i think i might have talked to daGimp. not sure though. *shrugs* the weather was nice today though.

    Congrats to you!! i had to repeat my level 4 once, but after that it was smooth sailing. i actually just graduated from AFF (on my level 7) yesterday.

    okay. I live about 8 miles from the Adrenlin wind tunnel and have gone there to check it out before. Basically, its a blower wind tunnel, its got a dc-3 prop powered by some kind of diesel truck motor. The guys told me that they had the speeds up to like 130-140. I dont know if thats true or not though. I THINK these guys are the same ones who had that wind tunnel going at Rantoul. not sure though. It seems like it would be fun, but i honestly dont know if it would actually benefit skydiving skills. btw for further reference, the wind tunnel is actually part of an "extreme sports" park, they have a bunch of motocross tracks and trails for ATV's and a lake to race Jet skis on and stuff. also a BMX track. its a pretty cool complex, the motocross track is pretty well known in the area.

    hehe yeah i made it to Eloy, i hung out around there for a few hours, made my level 7 graduation jump, but i had to leave, i'm in phoenix right now but i'll be back either later today or tomorrow to jump. see yall. i didnt really meet any dz-er's, except for AlanaB VERY briefly. hopefully when i come back today or tomorrow i'll get to meet and chat with yall more.

    DOH!! i just realized that with all this planning, i still dont even know how to get to the DZ. I'll be coming from the East on I-10. I know i'll drive right through Eloy but what are the particulars? anybody know? thanks!

    well.. i've jumped like 8 times in 2 months, but thats all AFF, its so expensive. like 1,100 bucks worth. so once i get my A license i'm sure i'll be jumping like 20 times a month or whatever lol

    hmm.. well i've had all kinds of different instructors so far, and honestly, i liked all of them. As long as i feel like they care about whats going on, and give me some kind of encouragement, be it "awesome jump, bro!!" or "Great job on not fucking up, maggot!!" i'm cool. Its when they just dont give a fuck is when i get turned off. I have a VERY good sense of humor and i'm not easily offended. I think this kind of persona is needed in the skydiving world, or at least comes in very handy. I'll always listen to what people have to say, i might not use their advice, but i'll always give them the courtesy of looking them in the eye and acknowledging what they are saying. But that's just me. *shrugs*

    20 ish hours until we hit the road, Eloy bound!! woo hoo!!! If we're not too wiped out we'll stop at Eloy for an hour or two on saturday to meet some people and then head on to phoenix which is where we'll be sleeping at a friend's house. we'll be back either sunday or monday, so be sure to point me at the freebies, because i do love freebies

    well nothing skydiving related as my parents are still very anti-skydiving. lol. i got a buncha stuff for my apartment, china, pizza pans, laundry detergent, yadda yadda, all the essentials. Also got a 20 inch flat screen tv and a dvd/cd player, which was definitely cool. that'll come in handy at the pad. :) All in all, it was a pretty boring christmas but i did get alot of stuff that i need for my apartment so its all good. Hopefully by next year i'll have convinced my parents that skydiving is cool and that they need to get me skydiving stuff.

    hm...... well i'd have to say that i'd kill for the opportunity to get to ride in a kick ass jet like that... i'd probably get a bigger rush out of doing that then skydiving. but thats because i mean, how many people get to do something like that. i wouldnt call skydiving unintelligent though but i bet crankin some G's in that tigershark was pretty fuckin cool.

    about the trip to Eloy. Every night its something different. A few nights ago, i dreamt that my car broke down in the middle of the desert thousands of miles from anybody. Last night i dreamt that we got lost and ended up in kansas. (which knowing us, is entirely possible) haha. Man, i sure hope this isnt like some kinda deja vu. This Eloy trip is arguably one of the stupidest things i've done/am about to do considering the circumstances, i start school january 5th and i STILL havent gotten to move into my apartment. I'm gonna have to move into my apartment in less then 1 day. its gonna be.....hectic. *groans* OH WELL, i'm still Eloy bound muahahahaha! i'm young and stupid and this is probably the best time in my life to do retarded things like this.
