There is always an even number of rows of kernels on an ear of corn.

Great story. Next time you are being charged remember to grab the bull by the nose. Actually get your fingers in the nostrils and twist with all you've got. Normally that will calm them down. If not it was nice knowing you.

Isn't opening day in PA a school holiday?

I use the same one for almost every thing.

Do you have a can of BEETS in your pantry?
jumpinfarmer replied to ACMESkydiver's topic in The Bonfire
HEY watch it about the peas. Some dumb dirt farmer had to grow them and then spent the profit at the DZ. -
Shotgun season opens here (NY) next Monday. I haven't even bought a liecense yet, but I've got 15 doe tags because of being a land owner. I still have a lot of corn to pick and the best way to shoot a deer is from the cab of the combine.

Lost Our Jump Plane (not an accident)
jumpinfarmer replied to rushmc's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
You folks in Hinkely get out and jump that plane. I was at Paridise Skydivers this summer and that plane rocks. Marc -
I won't go see the movie because I don't have time but, I'm helping to make The Polar Express for the Christmas prade this year. Our fire department always does something neat and this year thats what we choose. The fire engine will be the engine and it will be pulling two of my hay wagons made up to look like train cars. In the windows we'll have kids waving and Santa will be driving the engine/fire truck.

I know this should probably be in the gear forum but here goes. How many people jump with prescription goggles, and how do you like them? I'm thinking about getting some and want opinions about them. Also what are the best ones to get. Thanks Marc

I've never had the urge to jump a round however, I did want to do static line before I made my tandem. I still want to try it someday. Probably for the same reason you want to. Low jumps don't bother me I have several hop-n-pops and find them to be fun. I kind of feal like I missed out by not getting into this back when most students learned on static line using rounds.

DOOR!!! How that phrase comes to mind at the oddest times.

[ . Strangely enough, a large majority of the staunch liberals I've known in my short life have been extremely elitist. Being that I'm what some would consider to be a country boy, they assumed I was uneducated and more often then not were very rude. I guess since I don't have a PHD from a private school from the north east and I'm a gun tot'n republican, to them I'm an uneducated idiot. Gee. I get the same fealing when I am around staunch liberals. I think Bush's victory shows that Kerry was out of touch with many common people. Not every Republican is a wealthy buisness person as some seem to think. Untill the Democrats come up with a canidate that can appeal to rural voters they might not get the White House back.

Losing a dog is almost as hard as a family member, maybe even harder sometimes. My dog died much the same way a couple years ago. He lay on the floor in the kitchen all night and about 4am gave out a wimper that woke us up and then died in my fathers arms. the thing I'm most thankful for is that I didn't have to make the decision to have him put down. I don't know if I could have done that. My condolences Marc

All day since I read about Chris Martins passing I've felt bad. I never met him and I don't think I ever talked directly to him on here either. However I feel like someone I have known has died. What I wonder is how many others feel like I do now. Is It normal for someone to feel so sad at the passing of someone they never had the chance to meet? Blue skies Chris Hope to meet you someday. I seldom read a book, maybe once a year if I find one that interests me. The last one I read was Population 485. by Mike Perry. I do however read a lot of papers and magazines each month. Here's some. Parachutist, like I had to mention that. Sno Gower Track & Trail Snowmobiler Firehouse Fire Enginering 1st Responder News Country Folks Farmers Advance High Plains Journal Ag Impact Top Producer Farm Journal Progressive Farmer Sucessful Farming Vegitable Grower Hook Probably more if I thought about it. As someone else mentioned a lot of bills. Which remindes me I have some to pay tomarrow.
