  1. I hate to break it to you but it got cut up for scrap a few years ago. A family, just west of here, that runs a construction business and collects equipment has the tie bar that was between the cables on the drag line just above the scoop. They had it on a trailer at a tractor pull a couple years ago. It was as long as the trailer, 45', and about 3' in diameter solid steel. Quite impressive, I wish I could have seen it when it was all together.
  2. I've got a couple good ones. We live out in the country so you can see when someone is comming. As a kid I remember the neighbors all called one another and told them they were comming so you had a chance to hide. Our farm shop faces the road and I was working on a loader one hot afternoon when in they came. I let them get wound up talking about whatever they beleive as I continued to work. After about ten minutes I needed help holding a hydrolic cylinder up, he held it there and as I lined up the pins a stream of oil drenched his clean suit. My grandpa used to sit under a tree in the front yard and shoot woodchucks in the fields on the other side of the road with a 30-06 and scope. One day they stoped and he told them how bad off he was and how he hadn't had sex in years and that he was going to shoot himself soon so they had better get going. I was around all by my self one day painting the roof on a barn. I saw them walk up to the house and knock I made a real deep voice and said know ones home. They just looked startled and walked out toward a barn, I then repeated know ones home. They still didn't see me and walked into the shed I was standing on top of. I then let them have it and said you shal die by the lord and slaped my belt down as hard as I could on the tin roof. I never saw Two women run so fast in my life.
  3. Soft spots, hell we've got open water from shore to shore. Last year by this time I had put almost 500mi. on the sled.
  4. Suposed to be 65 here tomarrow as well. Then in the teens after Friday. I wouldn't mind some snow, I've yet to even get the snowmobile out of the barn this year.
  5. Lots of free bag eating beans though. Beans suck ass to walk through in shorts. After Couch Freaks I itched for a week.
  6. Nope. I can only concentrate on one thing at a time.
  7. A buddie hit one with his snowmobile two years ago. He's probably lucky to have lived through it. When I came up on him he was just standing there kinda dazzed with just the handle bars in his hands the rest of the sled was a pile of junk. And the deer was like a bag of jello.
  8. I've cut up my fair share of road killed deer over the years and they never seem to be as good as one you shot. I think the impact of the vehicle does something to the whole animal, not just where the car hit them.
  9. Nope! That looks like a liver to me. MMMM! Liver and onions. MMMMM!
  10. I drove 1100mi. aprox. to get to Couch Freaks from western NY. Didn't do it all in one day so I'm not sure how long it would take strait through.
  11. At least you were on foot and not in a car. Get better soon.
  12. So much for the peace and quiet. The vacationing P.H.s are comming back. Glad you had a good time.
  13. I've been told to put hand warmers in your gloves just before you exit. Put tham in your palms and put gloves over them. Then when your under canopy your clenched hands will be wraped around the hand warmers.
  14. What should I do to keep warm on a winter jump? Ground temp at 35 to 45. Other than layers of close what should I do.
