Stay away from that game. I have ADD when it comes to gaming. UT2K4 - Great game, love playing it online. Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 - when I have some serious time to kill. Doom 3 - Just back from Hell in the game (stopped playing it for a while). Now I need to figure out what is wrong with it. The sound stopped working when I installed the patch. I think the MP aspect of it sucks. HL2 - finished it, occassionaly play it in MP. Waiting for some better maps to come out. Counterstrike:Source - Pretty much all of the MP I am playing these days. I'm still getting my ass kicked, damn kids. America's Army - play it online when I need a distraction or two. Still sitting on my desk ready to go when I have the time: Medal of Honor, Call of Duty, City of Heros, World of Warcraft, Battle for Middle Earth, Pirates (remake), Beyond Good and Evil. Then on the Xbox I have Fable, Original Prince of Persia, Silent Hill 4 and Halo 2. On PS2 I have the ESPN sports games, and on Gamecube I have Eternal Darkness. It helps when you have three people in the house all playing and buying games. The Xbox 2 processors will be built by IBM, based on PowerPC technology, so I guess a Mac makes the most sense. link And a diagram (three 3.5Ghz cores?!) Only 256mb main board memory? Did you hear the announcment about multiple CPUs on one chip? IBM, Intel and AMD are all doing it. Before I left my last company they were planning a biz trip to Hawaii. It is partially a "thank you" to the top sales people, but it is also a professional setting. I saw the agenda before I left - it had a note at the bottom of the page: "All business on trip will be conducted in business professional attire." The location didn't matter (this was a publicly traded, $1.7B company). I tend to agree with that policy. I show up in comfortable, but professional clothes for breakfast meetings, lunch meetings and after work drinks. I've yet to have a meeting on a pooldeck. Dress for success. Old tradition but true, and is not outdated just because it is old. Your outward appearance in biz can and will be interpreted as a reflection of your work ethic and professionalism. I no longer dress in a suit like I did when I worked at IBM, but I always dress in a professional manner. Jeans or shorts are not professional. I deal with people on a daily basis - I doubt they would buy what I am selling if was in jeans or looking like I was headed out to the bar. Also, anyone that comes to me under dressed will never get hired by me or get my recommendation. Edit to add: My productivity can easily be measured via the metrics of my profession - not what I wear. Do my clothes effect my numbers? Nope. I had a meeting yesturday at lunch and while shopping for Chrismas gifts. Sometimes when we have a planning meeting we leave the office if we have a large problem and just drive, or go eat. I am actually suprized you think you need to be in an office or a board room to have a good meeting. You normally are more open than that. I guess its just because the person is someone you dislike. Double check what was said - he asked if I was ever out of office attire for a meeting - I said no. I didn't say it wasn't possible or that it couldn't happen. I maintain a high level of professionalism no matter what job I do and make sure I am always in proper attire. I find biz lunches very distracting from what needs to get done and a very poor use of time. If I want a break, I take a break and go out and socialize or post on here. You are going to be waiting a while - at least the end of 2006 or Q1 2007 before those systems come out. Not one developer has a SDK yet to start making games, and most companies take at least a year to make a console game. Why wait? Hasn't worked for me - it's been four years since I cut them both out of my life and they haven't changed a bit. Now 4 of the 5 children in the family have done the same thing and still not a bit of change There is more to this topic but I don't feel like disclosing it here.
