    Uh, no airports have security that is armed, and these cool things called metal detectors. Have you seen the recent stories where the test weapons got thru security and then the lost them? Or the guy at Ohare that ran right past security into the terminal and then no one could find him? Then there was the time when a friend of mine forgot to take his six inch knife out of his back pack and it still got past security (this was back in April). Seems to me that there are major holes in airport security still. Seems to me with the state of the world that would be a more likely place where you would have to defend yourself these days. _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me....     As a kid (6th grade) I had to spend a week at Michael Reese hospital due to a bad case of pneumonia. After four days of bed rest, I needed to take a walk. Apparently there was a wrong side of the nursing station as a gang member pulled a knife on me and made a few choice threats. Even back then I was able to handle the situation and walk away without a cut on my body.     Pssst...that's called banning them. No,you still have your CCW and you can use it elsewhere. Just like airports - you can't carry your gun there with your CCW either. Why isn't everyone protesting about that?     No. Once someone has done something wrong (committing libel or slander) they should be punished. Do you support banning newspapers to prevent libel from happening? That would equate to baning guns to prevent deaths. Yes or no. Yes it would - if I was talking about banning guns, which I wasn't. Stop being so damn trigger happy(pun) on the banning guns part - I'm not talking or even hinting about that!! What I am saying is that we need laws that provide protection. Not allowing a CCW into a bar is one of those provisions. Never once in my years of bar/club hoping did I ever say "damn, I really need a gun right now."     Not really. Of course there is volumes of legal books about this..So don't expect a quick easy answer. I think they are kinda funny when some moron claims something that is so wrong, and several other dumbasses fall in line. Of course you have to consider intent and the damage. If the intent was to damage, and it was a lie...Then they should be held acountable. Which means that those laws are there to protect the citizens. They do not lessen the 1st Amendment Right. Freedom of Speech is still true in this country, even with the stumbling blocks we are having with it right now. Same thing with limitations on the CCW - they are there to protect the citizens. Nothing more, nothing less - not some left wing conspiracy to keep the gun holders unhappy. Yes.     Hey, I know - lets remove CCW bans from every location and let people carry guns in bars, airplanes, on skydives, etc. Limitations on where you can use your CCW is not a bad thing. Shotgun showed the list of CCW holders that have commited violents crimes - because of the idiots, some prudence is needed instead of a blanket "sure carry the gun anywhere" regulation. btw - I'm for freedom of speech in all forms, but responsibility is needed with that freedom as well. You know the typical example of calling out 'fire' in a crowded room. Should there be a law against the word 'fire?' Of course not - but there are laws against being irresonsible with your words (ie libel) _________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me....     Think about it Ron, I am a gun owner - why would I want to remove or change the 2nd Amendment. Does that really make any sense at all? I am not sure what my opinion on CCW is, and it doesn't really matter since many states have it.     I have not said to take away a right or to change the Bill of Rights. I have not expressed my opinion on this either. I have asked for proof over speculation. Apparently there is not any to be given. That is what I was trying to get across.     Funny - I've never really said my full opinion on anything 2nd Amendment on this forum. I've expressed both positive (being a gun owner and a pretty good shot) and negative (having an uncle and friends murdered by gun point). So, your assumption that I am trashing the Bill of Rights is comical at best. I am asking for proof to back up speculation.     The prices are cheap, get one now. Besides, there is a chance the next systems may not be out until laster 2006.     Did you see that RA3 is in production now? RA2 and Yuri are two of my favorite games.     I hear that argument all the time and the only proof given is speculation of what might have happened or what might be. I'd like to see some solid proof to that claim for once. And don't counter with asking me to prove otherwise. And what personality difference would their be from those that carry illegally now and those that would be illegal?
