  1. I did; but that's with the assumption that "bad boy" means asshole.
  2. Define "bad boy". edit: do you mean asshole (to the girl)? Or just some guy who acts like a badass around his friends, gets in fights, etc.?
  3. Except for right now, of course.
  4. Tom Leykis is is a fucking idiot when it comes to any sort of dating/relationship/women advice.
  5. 10 for 20lbs. is 30, or is it 10lbs. 30 times over 12 that is?
  6. Says the guy who wants mommy and daddy to buy him an AAD.
  7. Or you could just practice what you preach. It's not that difficult. I guess I see hypocrisy as (a) expecting others to meet your standards, which you preach at them and (b) failing to do so yourself. If you don't try to control others, and only worry about yourself... you're not a hypocrite when you fail to meet all of your own goals, just human. Well, you've got part of it right. Being a hypocrite is just when YOU don't follow what YOU preach, not that you expect other people to do the same as you. Like if I were to say I was against putting children in daycare right after they're born so mom can go back to work, but I do that very thing... then I'm a hypocrite. Expecting others to do what you do is something else.
  8. Why don't you want them asking how much you're spending then? Might they ask you to start paying rent if you have that kind of money to throw around?
  9. Why? Aren't you an adult? Do you still live at home rent free?
  10. Yep, to make the claim that one is NEVER a hypocrite is pretty silly. It's not all that difficult to NOT be a hypocrite. I mean really, if you're going to preach something, don't do the opposite of it. It's quite simple. I honestly can't remember the last time I was a hypocrite about something. *shrug*
  11. Why? Aren't you an adult? Do you still live at home rent free? As for the question - I would buy my child an AAD.
  12. What about people who go to the courthouse and get a civil marriage, not a religious one? Maybe we should ban that too. Why not?
  13. Absolutely not. Well, not me anyway. I respect other people and what they believe in (as long as it's not pushed on me). I have a very Catholic family as well. The fact is, your wife is the exception, not the rule. Most people do not follow their religion like your wife, though there are some who do. The part that gets me is that I would put money on the majority of "yes" prop 8 voters to be those people who pick and choose the rules.
  14. Is what I said not true? How many people do you know that are religious who have had sex before marriage? Who have gotten divorced? Who have had children out of wedlock? Catholics who use contraception? Yet most of them are against gay marriage because it's "wrong in the eyes of the church". People want to call themselves religious and faithful yet they only pick and choose with "rules" they feel like following.
  15. Everyone I have talked to that says they voted yes for banning gay marriage has done it for religious reasons. "marriage is for men and women only" I'm wondering how they'd vote if there were a prop to ban divorce (i.e. forcing them to abide by "til death do us part" in their vows)? I doubt it would pass... then again, it's not uncommon for religious people to bend the rules to their convenience.
  16. My friend said the minister of her church could be sued for refusing to marry a gay couple if prop 8 didn't pass and that her church would have to close.
  17. I think the word Divorce does much more to corrupt the "perfectly good word" than letting gays get married. I wonder how the religious folk would vote if there was a prop to ban divorce?
  18. honestly, I don't think this was significant. Prop 22 won 60-40 eight years ago and it was even clearer. Now it's 52-48. It's hard to say, really. There were definitely people who voted the opposite of what they wanted. I just spoke to a non-Californian who would have voted yes when he really wanted no. I have no doubt there were many people who voted the same way. Doesn't really matter now, though, the votes are in - and it's a shame.
  19. The way Prop 8 was presented confused a lot of people. Many thought voting yes gave gays the right to marry, not the other way around. I believe that was a large contributing factor as to why it passed. Shame.
  20. Not an unexpected post from a Texan.
  21. Concur. Both speeches were well-crafted, well-delivered, gracious, and im-ever-ho, honestly spoken and truly intentioned. Both candidates made me proud to be an American last night. VR/Marg Well what did you expect from McCain? A 'fuck that nigger for winning" speech? Of course he said what he said, the entire nation was watching.
  22. I would not be surprised if there was a successful attempt to assassinate him; and it would be a damn shame.
