Jeeze, when I got on here a couple of months ago I wondered what a moderator was and what do they do here... Seems like you all have your hands full and our jobs are similiar. Only the masses I attempt to control all day are five and six years old. Never mind...think my job is easier!! Your character will ultimately determine your destiny.

Wow, that is a tough one... I had a little girl in my class once who was j.h and learned a little. She left the room everytime the pledge was said (every morning she had to stay in the hall). She couldn't be involved in parties celebrating anything (birthdays, christmas, easter). As for their beliefs, it is a bit different than your mainstream christian churches. They think a select few are coming back to inhabit the earth. I am trying to remember from some stuff my kiddos parents gave me. The email on the back of one of them (don't know how to do the clicky thingy) www.e-watchman.com Best of luck, I can't imagine being in your spot... ahhh, to heck with 'em if they can't take a joke... After I got divorced I got pulled over for not getting an inspection. Huh, did I get something in the mail about that? Had to ask the officer where I was supposed to go to get that done;) Your character will ultimately determine your destiny.

Who was the hard landing Santa in Houston?

Made it in the Today show My mom called me and asked if I knew who it was and I think she said the Today show. A major morning show anyway... Your character will ultimately determine your destiny. -
Whoever wrote it is is wonderful... I've seen it before and it makes me cry everytime... Maybe that's cause my Daddy died, homeless and alone, after a brave fight with agent orange related cancer. All he ever wanted to do was defend his country. I'd been with him shortly before his death but missed actually telling him good bye that month. You'd be suprised how many soldiers (at least of the Vietnam era have ended up isolated only wanting to be appreciated.) Thanks for a sweet post Your character will ultimately determine your destiny.

That was my first thought... I don't like Hillary one bit (if anyone cares) and I am no expert in politics. But I just kept wondering how many senators head over to war torn countries on behalf of the US? Shouldn't her focus be on the great state of NY? Unless she has bigger plans...God help us all! The clicky didn't work on my computer. Told me page not found three times in a row. Could be my computer... My son isn't here to look at it. How dare he leave when there are posts to be read Yup, error 404 if that helps Your character will ultimately determine your destiny.

So, to those of you who don't wear one on hop n pops, why not? Isn't it, in large part, to keep your cute little noggin' safe on impact? You might hit someone in freefall, got that (and it would be a VERY bad thing to have your head hit in freefall) but you are promised an impact on landing. Hopefully your head never hits the ground, but aren't your chances of hitting the ground just as good as hitting someone in freefall? Not trying to be a smart ass or anything... I am still only a 42 jump wonder and still learning... kp Your character will ultimately determine your destiny.

I'm pretty sure four kids and two grandkids counts for purpose You were in the military right? I think I read that in another post. If you were you offered your life for this country, that is purpose. Underappreciated, but HUGE purpose! You made your mom's heart sing, I'd bet and that was purpose... Bet your dad was braggin' 'bout his kid did this at some point and that was purpose... I know you haven't walked alone in this life, the are no end to the times when we don't know our purpose. A kind word given to a checker having a rotten day may have been our purpose... Letting a single mom working two jobs cut in line in traffic so she can make it to her kids soccer game... A hug given to a friend in need... An answer to a silly post in this forum.. And someone's gotta keep the pugs kris Your character will ultimately determine your destiny.

Everything you said is so right, in theory and textbook... But what would you do if you and to walk away from this man, sure he had answers to save your men and know you were heading back in to have a last meal with them? And listen to one young man talk about his baby that had just been born and he had not seen? One young man talk about hoping to get back home to say good bye to his father who is ill? I hope you never know... Maybe he crossed a line, but isn't war all about drawing a line in the sand and daring someone to cross it? Your character will ultimately determine your destiny.

I am one of the lucky ones who figured out at seven I wanted to teach and be a mom. I have the great joy of watching my son become a young man and my daughter will still take me to the latest Disney movies. At school~The more kidos I am around the happier I am. But if they put another one in my room we are gonna bust at the seems. Your character will ultimately determine your destiny.

I have been in the Army for 6 years. I am a Non-Commisioned Officer, and I am currently in Iraq. Thanks for putting your neck on the line so others can sit over here and debate whether or not you should be there. Not only is LT Col West a hero, so are you and everyone like you. Your safe return remains in the prayers of Americans~ Kris Your character will ultimately determine your destiny.

War sucks, doesn't it? Sometimes we forget that the other side contains real people with real families sticking to their real beliefs. Families and beliefs that they, too, tresure. Not making any grand statement, just remembering the pictures my dad took in Vietnam of real kids begging for food cause their parents were gone fighting and dying for something they believed in, much as my dad was doing. We can't know what Mr. West went through, we didn't walk in his shoes. But I know my dad offered (and eventually gave) his life for this country and the only thing he wanted was support from the folks back home. So, let's support Mr. West. And keep the enemy in our prayers, not their causes but their families and their heart breaks. Your character will ultimately determine your destiny.

Calls made and prayers for his family added. A brave man, who made a tough call and protected the men in his command. Thanks for the info. ~A marine's daughter Your character will ultimately determine your destiny.

Something about turning 30 made me stop and think about who I am and what I am doing here. And it brought about so many changes... For me, life is passion, courage, commitment, faith and love. Faith in something bigger than you (for me it is God) gives you the security that frees you to accept that life's challenges are no match for the will of the human spirit. Eventually, we will all achieve what we believe. I am not saying you will end up loaded if you just think you will, but the beliefs in your heart become your life. Each of us are challenged to discover our talent and take it to its highest level. Bloom where you are planted, but never put yourself in a place to small to grow. At the end of the day ask yourself, did I put a little more life in my day? If you did, it was a GREAT day. Fill your heart with passion and your mind with positive thoughts. Make a to do list of at least ten things you are going to do with your life and do them. (skydiving~ doing it) Until you have it written down it is only a dream, once you write it down it is a goal, a challenge you have given yourself. Be careful of what catches your eye, pursue what cathces your heart. Settle for no less than your best, and be honest with yourself. To quote Thomas Edison "If we did all the things we are capable of doing we would literally astound ourselves." Get out there and explore and at the end to the day take time to be still and listen to your heart! Good luck in your pursuits

How about middle of the rode~ He is a classy guy who cares about the men and women that are under his command. But, he is not stupid and knew this would make for good publicity. That said..I am a Marine's daughter and proud of it! We should ALL support the troops who are sacrificing (sp?) SO much this time of year! (Regardless of who is in control and how we feel about them) Your character will ultimately determine your destiny.
