You think a student should land in a tree rather than a parking lot? Have you ever landed in a tree? I got some news for you, trees are not soft. I have landed in a few trees with a kevlar jumpsuit and fully caged motorcycle helmet built specifically for landing in trees and it hurts like fuck. Are you teaching students to be so afraid of a downwind landing that they will choose an obstacle instead? You are making some bad teaching choices. I think you should think about giving up coaching students; you don't seem to have the knack for it. Maybe you can find something else to coach.

The devil is in the details: 1. Do your believe the apparatus of state should be used to enforce your beliefs on abortion on those who do not share them? If yes you are a conservative, if not, liberal. 2. Are you in favour of teachers being allowed to use my tax dollars to teach my kids about your myths? If yes you are a conservative, if no, liberal. 3. This is a tricky one. Your statement on taxes is a motherhood/apple pie platitude. The question is how do we determine what each person's fair share is? 4. See above. 5. The majority of liberals do not work for unions nor are the majority of union members IMO liberals. However you sound conservative on the issue. 6. Sounds moderate-right to me. 7. Again you are stating motherhood platitudes acceptable to both sides. Got any recent immigrants in your circle of close friends? Juan who you hired to sweep the floor doesn't count. 8. We are all racists. It is all a matter of how you act upon it. For most people, we have gone beyond the "don't hire a darkie" stage. How many brown/black friends do you have? how many have been in your living room? 9. Sounds conservative to me. 10. So you choose the white man's burden over crass imperialism; Congratu-fucking-lations.

Republican Party: Losing the Battle for Brains
Andrewwhyte replied to Andy9o8's topic in Speakers Corner
There you go hatin' on Joe six-pack again. You don't think he's an intellectual? The guy is a tradesman (sort of), a journalist, a political strategist. he's a fucking renaissance man! -
Wanting a destabilized Afghanistan and wanting to shore up his own back yard are two different things. 2.15B is peanuts when you consider the cost of logistics in the war. Somebody dropped the ball.

do you think the increase in Piracy is causing doubts among their followers? I sense a schism pending.... Of course not. It is just the FSM's way of combating global warming.

Where are the terms 'amendment' and 'revision' legally defined for the purposes of the California constitution?

The Canadian advertisers do not use the Grey Cup as a launching pad for their new ads. Canadian football is doing better than it has for quite some time, but it remains a feeder league for the NFL. If the Canadian advertisers were to chose to launch their new ads on schedule like the Superbowl phenomenon it would likely be during the Stanly Cup finals or the World juniors; much better ratings. The Calgary Stampeders beat the Montreal Allouettes in Montreal.

Really? In that case this is some of the dumbest shit I have heard in a while. Why doesn't the AG simply announce that the first part of the process is complete and the amendment will come into force if and when the Legislature completes the process? Or is the order (Leg then plebs) stipulated the other way. Either way I don't know why he didn't simply rule that the process is not yet complete. Let the proponents spend their money in court. If it changed the position of a comma it is a change.

Bill this seems to be quite a different argument than the one being presented to the courts. Are you arguing that the correct process was not followed? The argument in the courts seems to be that the correct process does not exist. If the correct amending process was not followed, can you outline what the correct process would look like?

I have a question for you lawyer types. Do the state constitutions recognize the federal constitution as being superior? Is there established law that amounts to the same. I know this case does not invoke the federal constitution yet, but it seems it must eventually go that way. The argument that the constitution can be unconstitutional internally is, in my view, ludicrous with no precedent anywhere within the Magna Carta family tree. The concept that it be unconstitutional wrt the superior federal constitution seems more probable, and righteous.

So why did you recycle the earlier thread?

I had a hard cutaway once. On the third try with both hands on the cutaway handle I got it. I was so relieved do have gotten the job done I forgot to pull my reserve. I cannot tell you how long the delay was until I remembered, maybe 1/4 second, maybe 3 seconds, but I know it was non-zero.

If you guys use WDIs you will find that WDI paper makes a good dummy pc toss paper; very easy to see. Riggerrob made us up dedicated TPCT thingies that were a parapack dildo with a proper pvc pc handle on one end and a short length (maybe 18") of bungee on the other. At the end of the bungee was about 2" of a stiff fabric. On the right legstrap he sewed a short loop of ribbon to install a rubber band. We then wrapped the rubber band around the stiff material on the end of the bungee. The student throws the dildo away like a pc and it dangles from the leg strap for the descent, If the dummy entangles with anything during deployment the connection to the rig easily releases. Works well for the jump as well as for training. If you do not have to re-stow the pc each time your JMs will make the students do more practice reps.

There are so many apps that demand that you invite x number of friends in order for you to play, or that the more of your friends who join, the better for your game. Do you think maybe assassin marketers are compiling data?

The problem with that is fairly quickly the locals work it out that they can get money after they are finished having children. There was a program like that in India a few years ago and a program assessment found out that the average woman getting sterilized had five or six kids and was around forty.

This doesn't surprise me at all. Dropzones are cults basically. I find that the smaller a dz is the more they tend to feel that the dz down the road is "the enemy." DZOs often tend to be so afraid of losing staff that they discourage jumping around. There is nothing you can do about it so just carry on.

What's really cool are all the "trade your friends personal information for points" games.

So Mike I am wondering who you think is a good example of the populist politician you are advocating? Bush clearly was not a populist. Rather he was a deeply principled leader who sought to "lead" the country where it needed to go. Ron Paul? Definitely not. Jesse Ventura? He would be as close as I've seen in US politics. Who would you point to?
-
Yes it does. What on earth made you think your first anniversary was not beer?

Did they get another King Air?

I don't quite follow you on that. What does that mean? . he means that whatever corporation was doing business as AeroOhio is going to be closed, and a new one will be started to run DBA AerOhio in 2009. Kind of like Precision :) Yes that is exactly what I meant. I have seen it used a few times to insulate assets from litigation.
-
Sounds like AerOhio 2009 inc. may be on the way.

No but when President Palin wants to appoint the chief lobbyist for Blackwater as Sec Defense her supporters will point to this "exception."
