We love free speech. With free speech comes responsibility. Many of our 'freedoms' have been stretched to the breaking point. Freedom of speech is probably at the top of the list. Do you believe that people in the U.S., have the right to incite riots (as an example) through 'freedom of speech'? Chuck Uh huh, flag burning fits under there as well. -

What this is is a sad reminder of the damage we do to our service men and women by asking them to go to war; some of them will not handle it. I imagine this guy had issues long before he joined the service, but we can't use that as excuse to ignore the effects of war.

I always seem to cheer against Manning. Perhaps Just because of his button down, business like approach to what is an incredibly emotional game, but I don't think it is fair to call him money grubbing. As I recall he was expected to go first overall after his junior year if he wanted, but he decided to stay because he wanted a national championship.

Actually it hurts so bad because I have watched conservatives shoot themselves in the foot over stupid issues like race over and over. Often I have had to live with the left wing governments that resulted. When Obama gave his "race speech" last year I made the point on here how the right needed to stop worrying about race and focus on his eat the rich, socialist message. Now that he is president his race is nowhere near as significant as his socialist policies. So show me. Examples of where the right has shot themselves in the foot? Be specific please? (this otta be good) By the way, the only ones making race an issue in regards to Obama is the left. Black or white, so far, he is failing as a president. I just gave you an example.

don't you mean alleged nationality? To say I was a North American would not be a description of my race. To say someone is African is not a description of their race. You're full of shit and you know it. It was a shot at his race, or worse yet an allusion to the morons only conspiracy theory about him being born in Kenya and the records being altered.

...and much more efficient and expediant travel... he was/is a very wise man to say the least. He may have even been more wise than you? So what else did he predict? I mean other than the things that have already happened and of course the apocalypse. How about telling us about prophesies that we might see in our lifetime. FTL travel? teleportation? That is exactly the point. Its not that these things have not been happening... I think we all know that. Its that at what point do they begin to be seen as prophetic fulfillment? Jesus is speaking about the time he will return again... he's not giving us a geology and history lesson. He is telling us that when we see these things happening, that the end is near. The pessimist economist is always right. "There's a recession coming." The economy booms. "There's a recession coming." The economy booms. "There's a recession coming." The economy tanks. "See, I told you so." You are just taking this one step further. You tell us the inevitable is going to happen and then tell us the fulfillment of your prediction is proof of something else.

The unemployment rate can fall with the number of jobs if the labour force contracts. This happens most predictably in September when the summer students exit the labour market. The other way it falls is when people "become discouraged" and stop looking for jobs (or enter the black market). The number of people on the sidelines is a somewhat sublime but important factor when gauging the recovery. Generally when the economy is receding the labour market is contracting, making the unemployment rate look better than it actually is. When the job market is improving the unemployment rate tends to lag as the discouraged workers re-enter the market. I am guessing here but the labour market may have fallen last moth due to weather.
